HELP! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I don't know what to do, i was trying to install the cyanogenmod 10 for galaxy s2 and now my phone doesn't even boot anymore. What can i do? can I install cyanogenmod via odin?i can't install via cwm cause i can't boot so i cant get the files do flash it. Plz i need help..

Why open a new thread for your problem when your info is more unclear as your first post and you can search for yourself for instructions to flash with Odin?

If you can get your phone into download mode, you can use Odin to flash the stock rom and see if you can get your phone to boot from that. You will find the stock firmware at http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/

i flashed a stock firmware.i tried this and i had no result.if you can answer this i told about cwm and adb i would be very happy
try another cable.
I had similar problem because of a poor cable ordered from e-bay.
even if you are using the stock cable, try another one as it might be damaged.
gokhan thanks for your help but it didn't work.if i format the /system partition will i be able to get into download mode?
I don't see how you could get Odin to recognise your phone in order to format the system partition if you weren't able to get into download mode.
So I guess I'll play Captain Obvious...Can you get into download mode ?
If not, does Odin recognise the phone when you hook the phone up to a PC via a USB cable ? (a long shot I know but I'm trying to think of anything that might work here).

You really need to start giving more information.
Excactly what rom did you tried to flash? And yes, you can just flash CF-Root and start flashing from recovery. If it is possible to push the files true adb, I don't know. But you will have adb for sure in recovery.
And why are you flashing? It looks like you have really no idea what you are doing.
the problem is solved.i flashed a cwm 9 rom via odin and now im ok.now im flashing chechrom.i had checkrom and i undervolted too much.the phone closed but accidenatly i had ticked the set on bot button.my external sd is broken and i didnt have a checkrom backp into my internal sdcard.so i decided to flash an official firmware and then flash again checkrom.this is the story but now my problem is solved so you can lock the thread.thank you all

[Q] Failde to upgrade galaxy s2 to ics

hi there

Re-download you old stock firmware, reboot into download mode and flash with Odin but make sure you read the Odin flashing instructions correctly.

After you reflash back to your original firmware flash the correct cfroot kernel to root your device.
Then make a backup using CWM. This can be restored later if you choose to downgrade from ics.
Then find the thread that has CWM flashable ics versions and download one then flash it via CWM.
If it's no good for you can simply restore your backup via CWM and you will be back where you started.
Enjoy.

Odin Flash Failed, Now Phone Won't Boot

hey guys, I was running my S3 on the paranoid android(2.99) just fine but then I tried to flash 2.54 over my 2.99 install through TWRP. It flashed fine but then it was stuck on the PA bootscreen so then I tried restoring a backup through TWRP but it said no backups found even though I made 3, i later realised they were in a different folder and I couldn't get them.
Anway, desperate to get a working phone, I downloaded the I9300XXELLA firmware and flashed it via ODIN, it failed so I disconnected my phone and now it says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue, select recovery mode through kies". I cannot go into recovery or download mode.
Is there anyway to get my phone to work or have I successfully created a paperweight?
The phone was bought from India. If I need to provide any information, let me know, I'd love having my phone back.
First step is to source a USB recovery Jig to get to download mode .
That fails its a service centre .

ALL - via android consule, via odin, and i dont know about other method. with all other devices i had NO problem at all and i flashed many roms before. its the fors time something like that happened to me.
Try this with Odin: http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/i9300/philz_touch_6.25.0-i9300.tar.md5 Put it at "PDA". What error gives you Odin ? Is the phone rooted ? Have you tried installing with CWM Manager from playStore ? Also, try TWRP Manager app, as I believe it does not require root to install the recovery. After TWRP is installed, download the CWM zip and flash it. Ypour friend is running stock ROM, right ?
If you're Rooted then download and install "ROM Manager" From Play Store and that'll guide you through installing the latest CWM for your device. This is the safest method i know.

Hi,
Download your device firmware here, http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
then unzip downloaded firmware file and flash to your device using ODIN.
You can read instructions in the firmware page.
