I paid for a CPO 8gb NT
The receipt in the box says 16gb
The model # reads BNTV250 (not BNTV250a as would be expected for a 8gb model)
But, when I look at available memory, it reads:
B+N conect about 6gb (actually just under 6gb)
Other content: 8gb available
I am confused, do I have a 8gb (that I ordered and paid for) or did I get a 16gb version?
Sure looks like you got a 16GB. I heard of someone else getting that because they sold out of the 8GB and didn't stop the ad in time, or something like that, so they shipped 16GB instead. Congratulations! :good:

Do you have the 16? How much space does it say you have? I have 6 for b&n content and an extra 8 so wondering you know.
Model NO. BNTV250
FCC ID has a -a at the end though?

You have the 16GB. The -a is on mine. Like stated previously, they ran out of 8GB and shipped 16GB so customers wouldn't get mad.

Hi,
I have the oppurtunity to purchase a Tablet S for cheap. Anyone heard of such a model.
I do not see it on the Canadian SonyStyle site.
Chris

I'd walk well away unless you can examine it beforehand. My 16gb tablet only report 8.92gb storage due to the way the memory is partitioned but it is still a 16gb tablet. Sony haven't made any announcements about a smaller capacity model. Anything smaller than 16 though would severely limit the utility of the device.

Unless they're specifically reporting the available memory... ? There is no such device.

About to purchase the tmobile galaxy s 3 and ive noticed they come as a 16gb rom or a 32gb rom. Not sure if it is worth the extra $50 or not. What do you guys think? Not exatly sure what the benefit in the long run will be if so. Please explain if possible, thanks.
I don't think it's worth the extra $50. If you really want 32GB, you could just buy an external microSD card and stick it in (up to 64GB I believe). I got the 16GB phone and put in my 16GB microSD card which costs much less than $50 these days. Plus, you'd have do wait until they get the 32GB version of the phone.
I dont think its that necessary. You can expand with a microSD card up to 64GB, and you also get 50GB of DropBox storage when you buy the phone. Im just gonna get the 16GB White model when it comes out.
I'm noticias 100% sure in S3 case but usually internal memory is faster than external cards. You must consider it.

Even if it's true, it doesn't matter. I have a Class 6 64GB Sandisk card in there and just dropped 9 gigs of music onto my phone in a minute. You can buy a 64 gb card from newegg for around $40.

Can you link the $40 64gb card?
IF you have the need go head. IT all comes down to it.
In my case, I need the internal storage for 1080p videos, pictures, apps, data apps.
And then I use the microsd card for my 35GB music collection. (Yes, I like to go around with my entire music collection in my pocket)
So for me, my choice is 32GB Galaxy S 3 and a 64GB microSD card.
isn't $50 already a bargain for double the storage? last that i remember the phones were $100 more.

Prices appear to have gone up. Here's a link to the card I bought for $50. It's now $70. If you keep your eyes open I'm sure more deals will come your way.

the reason everyone is going bat**** over the SGSIII is because of the microSD slot. there's absolutely no reason for you to get a 32GB phone since you can pop in a 64GB microSD card if you needed more space. better question to ask yourself: what is the capacity of your current phone? if you maxed out, double the space and that's what you should be aiming for on the SGSIII. :good:
If you have to ask, do you think you need it?
I've a 64 GB µSD card whose limits I'm already reaching. $50 is a lot for 16 GB but it's not a question I need to answer.

For 50 bucks of u plan on keeping the phone for awhile id say get it.sucks when u think about or like ur paying 50 for a 16gb sd but when u consider 1st that its 16gb that u will never be able to expand to any other way and 2nd Apple would charge like 200 bucks for that extra space it makes the sting a lil easier to swallow.now of they made 256gb sd cards it would be a different story lol but since we are limited in how big of a sd card is available I'll take that extra 16 err 14....whatever ever formatting gb any day for 50 bones.nothing worst then running out of space

that's a CLASS 6 (SIX).
I plan on keeping mine for 2-3 years, so the more storage the better, so to me a 32gb phone with a 32-64gb sd card makes a lot of sense, but it really only matters what you want/need it for
Hello, i recently bought a certified pre owned nook tablet from ebay. B&N was selling it on ebay. It was advertised as 16 gb. So i just got it today and the box does say that it is 16 gb. And also, in the about info of the nook it says that it is BNTV250. But when i check the storage info it says that 5.91 gb is for B&N content while it says 8gb is for other content. So my question is, is my nook tablet 8gb or 16gb. And how do i know if it has 1gb of ram. Thats the important thing to me anyway and not much the storage capacity. Hope someone can help. Thanks. On the back of the device it says model no: BNTV250, IC: 8961A-BNTV250A, FFC ID: XHHBNTV250-A.

You have a 16GB tablet with 1GB RAM. The other ~2GB or so of storage is being used up by the many other partitions that are necessary to make the device function.

yeah man i also read on B&N support site that 5gb for B&N, and 8GB for other content setup means that it was re partitioned at B&N stores.
Thanks, so yeah to everyone else who has a similar issue. I do have a 16GB nook tablet thanks!
I got 2 nook tablet offers, one 8 gig for 8, one 16 gig for 105, what's the better deal? I just want to install android and read kindle books and light browsing, no major work.
I'd go for the 16 GB. It's not just the storage that's different, it's RAM memory as well.

Owner doesn't know the version he bought, how can I tell if it's the 8 or 16 gig version by looking at the box?
He wants 70 bucks for it.

I bought a pantech element for 160 but if the nook is better I'll take it back.
I don't have my box any more, so I don't know where info is. Probably on a label at the back, if it's not clearly stated on the front.

What do you think about the pantech element? I know it's not popular but you think I should return in and get this guy's nook tablet?
I don't know anything about the Pantech, but looking at specs it looks good to me. I like the actual look of it as well.

Roms for the Nook Tablet 8gb with 1gb ram?
ok i guess im new here, i decided to pick up one of these nook tablets 8gb 1gb of ram, mostly to root rom and what not... i see that CyMod 10 is out on nightly and that was my plan... but i see that it may only support the nook tablet with 8gb of ram and 512 of memory... welp the tablet is on the way... i just hope i can find a rom that will support it.. i hope the 8gb ram and 1gb memory ones are not orphan... meaning there is no on going roms and kernals and stuff for them...
i already have a rooted tf101
and a rooted Minix x5 android tv box so im not completely clueless... but i just did not research the nook tablet with 8gb 1gb ram well enough to know for shure.
edit: posted this in the wrong section before... dont ya hate newbs?
I wasn't even aware there existed an 8GB with 1GB RAM. Are you sure that's what you have? If it's indeed has 1 GB RAM it should be a 16 GB model. CHeck your model no again. BN250 is the 16GB and BN250A is the 8GB.

well, seems the advert was in error... i decided to hunt a bit and see if i could find a 16gb for around the same price... it was 10 bucks more but heck... i wanted 1 gb of ram and i just wanted something to wait out the release of the new nexus 7... and i wanted to have something that had a dev community behind it.... so.. no sale 1saleaday.... i got my money back...they did not even argue!!! just refund... i cannot stand it when some online store gets the specs wrong on a device... i will never use them again... looking forward to the new old tablet though... and all the rooting and romming stuff..
