I am trying to pair devices and it seems I can see the devices however it never asks for a pin or password. But a list of devices do appear.
Am I missing something????
Any help would be geat!

My car bluetooth worked with my galaxy 3 and it asked on that.

Are you actually having any trouble pairing devices or simply concerned that it doesn't ask for a pin code? It has been my experience that recent phones nowadays seem to realize that most bluetooth devices have a default pin code of 0000. As a result, they may not ask for the pin code simply because they can already know it without being told. I can't remember the last time my phone actually asked for a pin code when I paired a bluetooth device.
For example, I decided to pair my Motorola S10 just now. My Note 2 did not ask for a pin code and yet the device paired and is functioning perfectly.
Yes however it doesnt connect to the bluetooth device. It says it can not connect.

Is there any way that I could possibly use my GT10.1 to control my PS3 system? Just wondering because it would eliminate how many controllers/items I would need by my bed side haha thanks for your time

Try Blueputdroid... not sure if it works on tablets, but I used it on my phone and it worked great.
I tried it but it won't connect. Comes up with a passkey, but after I enter the key it thinks for a 20-30 seconds then says connection failed.
+ 1 same problem with confirmation. Did you find a solution yet? Thanks

Hoping a fellow xda member has found a way around this issue before. So I connect my amaze to my cars stereo to stream using A2DP, I use to do this with my galaxy s 2 as well. One thing I find annoying about the amaze is that unlike my gs2 it doesnt connect automatically and I have to enter the pin code everytime can someone share a way to get the amaze to automatically do this? Tried some autoconnect Bluetooth app from the market but it still made me type in the pin code.

In my car you have to register the phone to the head unit in order for it to connect automatically. Have you done this?
Hope it helps,

It works with my truck 100%. It may be your radio. I have an aftermarket Sony radio unit and my Amaze connects to it with no problem. My music plays through my speakers and I do not have to enter a pin code besides pairing it up for the first time.

Well I'm using a pioneer and my galaxy s 2 did this just fine. Everything else works fine which is weird I can flip through songs from the head unit. Another issue I see is the amaze only connects media or phone depending on which screen I'm on with my pioneer the only way to connect both is by going into the settings and doing it manually.

Are you on ICS or GB? I'm thinking of you should probably install ICS for the updated radio. It may give you a better connectivity.
I'm on ics it didn't work on either maybe my phone isnt paired as the primary or there is something I can reset in the stereo?

it connects with my car without any problem. and since i upgraded my phone to ics the connectivity is even faster.

Hmm, gonna go mess with it don't see any reason for it not to work the way it does for you

You guys were right it connects rediculously fast with ics I got it figured out, has to register the phone permanently apparently the Bluetooth unit can connect for just a one time connect and permanent registration.

I have a 08 lancer gts with a navigation. It's connects to Bluetooth automatically. I recently added a2dp Bluetooth aux and I now have it connect automatically to that whenever I turn in the car. Only had to enter the pin once.

I'm running shostock2 rom, which is awesome by the way. And the siyah kernel. I thought I read somewhere that some kernels don't support sixaxis. Either this true for my combination or I am doing something worng.

There's a app in the market that let's you test if your rom is compatible with six axix..

Thanks. I'll check it out. I think I did solve my problem though. I believe the "Sony" controller I bought from Amazon was a fake. I went to Walmart and bought a new controller and it worked.

I am running SHOstock2 4.0.4.1.2 with the Siyah v3.5.1 Kernel, which I agree, is awesome.
When I run sixaxis compatibility checker, it says: "Your device appears to be Supported" "...try connecting your controller" I change the bluetooth address on the controller to match the one on my phone, when I hit "pair controller" it always tells me "No controller found -please connect it via USB cable" So I ordered a Micro USB OTG to USB 2.0 Adapter and tried to connect via USB cable with the same error. I am using a sony controller.
I would be willing to flash a rom and kernel to set up a "gaming rom" (I would plan on flashing back to shostock2 for everyday use)
any suggestions?
I might be wrong but I think once you've changed the Bluetooth numbers it should already be paired. Pairing through the app changes the Bluetooth numbers for you without needing the computer program to do it. Hit start in the app, wait till it says listening for controller, then turn on your controller. Wait for it to connect. Let me know what happens.

Just fyi this works with cm9 but tv out using hdmi won't work. If your trying to build a ghetto arcade on your phone that is.

"ghetto arcade" Indeed!
I appreciate the responses. I got the full app, I have confidence that with help, it will work. I just wanted to show with the third picture that the phone does see the controller. Thanks again.

I flashed cm9 last night and under listening for controllers... it said, "Client 1 disconnected" It must be something that I am not doing quite right. It just will not connect. The red lights blink on the controller, but I never get a solid red light. Any ideas?

Have you changed the Bluetooth Mac address of the controller to match your device?

I double and triple checked the blue tooth address. It wouldn't let me use an o in place of a zero. Here are some pictures. I'm sure that it is something simple that I am overlooking, I just don't know what it is.

Please help...been attempting to find answers on the web for about a week now, but no joy. My device is running Gingerbread.ueki8, firmware 2.3.5. Purchased a Samsung HM1200 bluetooth headseat and my Yp-g70 will not find the device. Followed the headset pairing instructions precisely...very simple...ensure led is blue (pairing mode) and press the talk button. I've tried doing this with wifi and gps disabled, among other subtle things, with no luck. Of course, I've been simultaneously telling the device to scan for new bluetooth devices. Is there something programmed in the OS or firmware that's preventing the bluetooth headset from being visible? If so, is there a software/rooting solution? Any help is Greatly appreciated.

Have you made sure the player is visible to other Bluetooth devices? That might be the issue

Paired the hm1200 headset succesfully to an itouch...was visible immediately. Still can't get my yp-g70 to find the device. Is there a known software or hardware restrictive setting in the Galaxy player 5? Does anyone know of a solution?

I haven't had any issues with my other BT devices. The only issue I can think of is that your device doesn't support the same version of BT. I had issues with the BT keyboard then realized it only works for Android3.X+ and iDevices. Check that and make sure it can support Android 2.X.
Thank you so much for the response. The manual "says' it supports bt 3.0, just as the headset manual does. I spent 45 minutes on tech support chat with Samsung for them to end with "the yp-g70 doesn't support a bluetooth headset, only headphones". I think I'm officially going to give up.

i would think that the bluetooth would only not support the mic portion of the headset. but tech support knows best i guess
Every time I try to pair my Galaxy Note 2 with my bluetooth speaker, it fails. The speaker never even shows up on the scanned devices list even though it works fine on my PC and Nexus 7. How do I fix this?
Have you tried to pair your nexus with note? What is the result?
Try to unpair your nexus from speaker and then try your note.

I can pair my Nexus with my Note but I'm not sure what that does. I've made sure nothing else is paired with the speaker but the Note 2 is the only device that can't recognize it.
