Every time I try to pair my Galaxy Note 2 with my bluetooth speaker, it fails. The speaker never even shows up on the scanned devices list even though it works fine on my PC and Nexus 7. How do I fix this?
Have you tried to pair your nexus with note? What is the result?
Try to unpair your nexus from speaker and then try your note.

I can pair my Nexus with my Note but I'm not sure what that does. I've made sure nothing else is paired with the speaker but the Note 2 is the only device that can't recognize it.

Please help...been attempting to find answers on the web for about a week now, but no joy. My device is running Gingerbread.ueki8, firmware 2.3.5. Purchased a Samsung HM1200 bluetooth headseat and my Yp-g70 will not find the device. Followed the headset pairing instructions precisely...very simple...ensure led is blue (pairing mode) and press the talk button. I've tried doing this with wifi and gps disabled, among other subtle things, with no luck. Of course, I've been simultaneously telling the device to scan for new bluetooth devices. Is there something programmed in the OS or firmware that's preventing the bluetooth headset from being visible? If so, is there a software/rooting solution? Any help is Greatly appreciated.

Have you made sure the player is visible to other Bluetooth devices? That might be the issue

Paired the hm1200 headset succesfully to an itouch...was visible immediately. Still can't get my yp-g70 to find the device. Is there a known software or hardware restrictive setting in the Galaxy player 5? Does anyone know of a solution?

I haven't had any issues with my other BT devices. The only issue I can think of is that your device doesn't support the same version of BT. I had issues with the BT keyboard then realized it only works for Android3.X+ and iDevices. Check that and make sure it can support Android 2.X.
Thank you so much for the response. The manual "says' it supports bt 3.0, just as the headset manual does. I spent 45 minutes on tech support chat with Samsung for them to end with "the yp-g70 doesn't support a bluetooth headset, only headphones". I think I'm officially going to give up.

i would think that the bluetooth would only not support the mic portion of the headset. but tech support knows best i guess

I had a popup for my trucks Blue tooth pin.
Its possible the device you're pairing to doesnt use a pin

Are you actually having any trouble pairing devices or simply concerned that it doesn't ask for a pin code? It has been my experience that recent phones nowadays seem to realize that most bluetooth devices have a default pin code of 0000. As a result, they may not ask for the pin code simply because they can already know it without being told. I can't remember the last time my phone actually asked for a pin code when I paired a bluetooth device.
For example, I decided to pair my Motorola S10 just now. My Note 2 did not ask for a pin code and yet the device paired and is functioning perfectly.
Yes however it doesnt connect to the bluetooth device. It says it can not connect.

I'm about to get the S4 and i was wondering has anyone been able to hook it up to their car? I tried with my Nexus and it doesn't work, didn't know if it did with the S4. I have a 2010 nissan altima. Works great with an iPhone/ipod.

I have a 2012 Ford F-150 with the Microsoft SYNC unit. Hooking the phone up through USB does not work, unfortunately. I cannot play music through the USB connection like I can if i I use my wife's iPhone.
I had the same problem with the Galaxy S3. Nexus and the Droid DNA.
Bluetooth works great though and can play, reverse and advance tracks but that's about it.
USB doesn't work in my Totoya Corolla 2013. Bluetooth works beautifully, though.
I have a 2010 car... It has bluetooth for calls but not for playing music sucks because I just put all my music on Google Music.

Is it a VW? If so, change the Bluetooth chip.

If your car stereo has bluetooth then yes...Usb is a crap shoot. Sound difference is minimal...why not go cordless?

It's a nissan altima. And the bluetooth doesn't stream audio. Just does phone calls. Guess i need a new car with my new phone.

I just switched from the iPhone 5 to the Lg G2 and like on the iPhone I have a password and it is automatically after 30 mins of no use.
On the G2 however when I'm using my Bluetooth headset, even after a 1 second call it requires me to put a password. This is very annoying as I make a lot of calls on my bluetooth.
Is this an android issue or an LG problem? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks.
Bluetooth headphone is a Motorola H730 if that helps.
Sounds like a defect. My phone doesn't do this. Try to unpair the phone and Bluetooth and then repair them. See if that helps.

Tried that and it's still doing it. I think it might be the Bluetooth headset that is causing it.
Let me try some more trouble shooting.
If anyone else has an idea that would awesome .
Thanks.
