I saw this in the development section a little while ago and now it's in the Play Store, it's still in Alpha but may be worth checking out.https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androguide.pimp.my.rom
i was looking at that yesterday, and was looking around before asking if anyone had tried it. we are not listed in the confirmed working devices. has anybody gave it a go on their shift yet?
Just download the rescue zip from within the app, just in case. Pimp my ROM ( the script ) was awesome and made a lot of sense so this app should do the same. If your to worried I'll try now on my shift
*edit*
So it booted aftery applying all misc tweaks so it should be safe

good stuff. i just knew that if i tried and something went wrong i would be on here asking you guys for help. seemed more efficient for someone more knowledgeable on the subject to check it out.
I tried a few versions of the aroma installer before but they always crashed before I could get any of the tweaks applied. An actual app sounds like it could be sweet
Downloaded this. Tried a few things. No issues. Did the unpimp option. Work perfectly. This is a nifty little app. Generally everything seems to be working good
Shifted from a Zombie Wasteland
Been playing with it a little and no problems so far. have noticed less lag, and also faster wifi connect and sd card mounting.
Just some more info. I've had a fair number of these tweaks rockin all day. I've noticed a decrease in battery drain. Much better video playback via 3G, slightly smoother scrolling in my transparent menus and on the home screen. Also, this in conjunction with RAM manager pro I am having 220mb free ram at all times. I've never seen that before. Ever.

Have you tried the camera quality tweaks yet? After applying my videos played back as 3 small identical videos stacked on each other.

Yes it does, it is very well put together and the possibilities are almost endless... there are so many tweaks and mods they could add.
I've had it for about 10 minutes, already seeing improvements. So far a great app. Can't wait for updates.

Good to see some more chefs appearing after most of the old ones went over to nand. So, what distinguishes your build, specifically from Copenhagen's?

Data is working 95% flawlessly on PPP.
APN properly set for T-Mo
DNS info properly set for T-Mo and it's apps
used different firmware in a couple instances
NO ROBO VOICE CRAP
A few other small things, fully up to 1/24 CM7 is another point.
Overall this works better for me than copen's original did.
Why is the file extension .exe?
Uh, why is this an EXE?

This is one of the fastest Android systems I've used. It scores 1670 on Quadrant. Ive had tested others which score higher (into the 2k range), but this one just seems sooo much quicker. Only thing I've found that I don't like is that some apps dont fill the screen(the slidelock screen, pandora, speed test). I am not used to such a small dpi and having a case on the phone makes it hard to drag down the notification bar, but that may be from my sausage fingers. Also, I cant seem to be able to pin an app shortcut onto the desktop with a long press. Doesnt seem to be an option for it like other roms I've tried. But so far I am liking it, but it will take some time to get used to.
Edit: I figured out how to drop an app on the desktop. Silly me. Longpress on the app from the menu and simply drop it onto the homescreen. So much easier!!!!!!!!!!
Will give it a spin
Alright glad to see some gb hitting the threads especially on sd --I am running cope's now will give this one a try downloading now its late will work on it tomorrow Thanks for the work
I have installed on my EU HD2 but how to make mobile data working?
Tnx for the build!
Just been playing around a bit on the latest. Incorporated copenhagens fix for su....but I'm gonna give things another go around seeing about getting it perfect....kinda a workaround at the moment.
T-Mobile US users will likely be the only ones capable of using my builds as stated before. Data is working flawlessly in this build.
Tomorrows update will include at least the such fix, Facebook added back in, possible progress towards kineto , and who knows what else.....

Thankyou.
So, I was thinking that we should have a thread for WebTop screenshots. I realize that there is a thread for Atrix screenshots but I think there is room for a separate thread specific to WebTop.
It seems to me that the WebTop is different enough that it warrants this thread. If this is a bad assumption, mods feel free to remove the thread.
I will start with a couple from my device:

I haven't tried vlc and I don't have sound working on the Debian side yet. Sound works fine in the native WebTop apps though. I am getting some dbus errors during Gnome startup. It seems to be related to the original 2GB Debian image I used first. I am not using the 4GB image.
I plan to start from scratch but I haven't had the time to do that yet. I am fairly certain that resetting the phone and redoing the hack will get rid of the errors.
Everything seems to work otherwise though. Also, the bluetooth has added functionality when running Debian. I can pair a Microsoft bluetooth mouse that will not pair with the WebTop bluetooth stack.
This is basically the standard webtop after adding lxterminal and a few other packages via the dpkg command. The screen shot was done with gnome-screenshot which seems to be pre-included in Moto's webtop implementation.
I tried the 'full ubuntu' install, but decided it took just way too much space for what I actually need. So, after wiping the phone and reinstalling sbfs I went about putting on just what I use for work and play.
Looks great. Now we just need a larger partition so we can install more stuff!
For now, I am still using the Debian hack. It would be better to just crack the motobuntu wide open though.
I know its not quite as impressive as the modded webtop, but I prefer using the stock webtop because it runs faster than off the SD card, and its easier to hack this one to get some usability from it,than to install a whole new system like GenTop

So disappointed!!!
As for the dock, do they allow end-users changing from 4 icons to 5 icons, or still stuck with 4 only?
Does this ICS have a native Voice Command?

And I'll even toss in an explanation. its ICS. Its touchwiz. Not much has changed throughout the leaks. It looks like crap. and we dont need a separate thread to show what kind of crap samsung lets out.
Yup, closed... if you want ICS pictures then Google them.

I have been developing ROMs for my phones for quite some time, but never was able to upload or post because I hadn't made 10 posts. I want to share my ROM in the development section, but need some testers to make sure everything is working well.
I have used this ROM personally now for a week and it hasn't given me any troubles. Those results were for me, so now I need to see how well it works for others.
The idea of this ROM is to get rid of everything that is not essential. Yes, I mean everything. The clock, the calendar, the calculator, the browser and all other features are completely removed. This is a very anti-bloat ROM, perhaps the most extreme anti-bloat ROM of all time.
Anything you want will either have to be downloaded through the Play store, or installed through the APK of the original Samsung apps I will provide. Because of this, the ROM is under 600MB. Yes! It is that small.
If you are interested in being one of the beta testers, I am allowing a limited number of you to try.
PM me if you are interested.
Definitely interested. Which base? NC2 or NC4?

I have personally had no issues with rotation and no one else has reported any bugs with it, but I'll test it a little bit more before I release.
With regards to the camera, I have taken out some of the special features if that as what you are having trouble with. For example, if you were to go to Mode, and select Drama, that specific mode would not work. If you go into further detail about your issue with the camera I will test it more closely.
I downloaded the game "Subway Surfer" and tested volume control with that for about 10 minutes. I found no issues with volume control in that game. If you tell me what specific game or games you are having trouble with, I will download those and test volume with them and see if I still have issues.
Thanks for testing.

Cannot change network type from 2G to 3G or LTE
Hello Guys,
I am unable to change network type from 2G to 3G or LTE. I've tried everything I can think of like changing sim slots, reboot, etc.
Please suggest, is it a bug or is there a trick.
Thanks in advance
I am fully stock running OOS 3.0.2 and everything is much faster but I have one issue. Internet is working strange when I am connected to wifi. It has normal download speed but it is still "working" slow. I don't know how to describe that. When I go to Youtube for example and tap one video it will "load" video for long time before it starts but when video really start it will go normally without buffering and problems. Same thing with Instagram or any other app. When I go to instagram it will refresh posts for long time but once it has refreshed I could do everything else with normal speed.
