I am left wanting Pandora or some sort of Shoutcast streamer. Are their any currently in the WP8 store that I am missing?

MetroRadio does Pandora, but I have found little bugs with the audio.
Nokia mix radio.
Slacker Radio is what I use, and have used for a while.
Free: Slacker, Nokia Music
Music Pass: the built-in Music app.
They could use a spotify app
Pandora is supposed to be coming soon with a years free subsciption
Radio controlled is a good too, it does Pandora.

Spotify is available on WP7 so I guess it will come at some point in the future but I don't know what their problem is in releasing the WP7 App for WP8 (it doesn't seem to be one to have obvious compatibility issues).

We7 does one but it expires after a period of time, you could try last.fm if you don't mind just selecting an artist and getting random songs from them, it works really well!
As I remembered there was a free version of Grooveshark.
looks like grooveshark is subscription now
I'm pretty certain I heard talk recently of Last.fm only being available on mobile devices for premium subscribers. Not sure if this is something they've implemented yet.
yeh not getting last.fm working either
i found a prog called tinyshark which is supposed to work with grooveshark (apparently subscription free) but it wont stream...need adobe flash
Soundcloud has some artists on won't be 100 percent though

The new We7 app looks like your best bet. You can't select specific songs like you can with Spotify but you can search for artists and genres and listen to random songs. It also allows offline listening now which is pretty sweet, and best of all it's totally free! There is also a premium version which lets you search for individual songs/albums etc.
Check out the market link below.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.we7.player&feature=search_result
i use music on line lite from the market found it to be really good just type in title artist or album and it will do a search and just press play on which song you want to play
There's one included with the phone. It's called "FM Radio". Guaranteed free of charge . Seriously speaking, the quality is OK as long as you are in a city or close enough to a broadcast tower. Not too much to choose from, but better than nothing.
i use "QueueTube" it streams only audio from YouTube. and you can add/remove songs (YT audio) to/from playlist just by long-press the song tittle... and since youtube has everything this app became my no.1 song streaming app.
hope i helped!
Not really RAZR-specific, but it's the little things that make this phone so awesome. I just wanted to say an open "thank you" to Google for their new music app. Not only does most of my music carry over to it from my computer, but I don't have to store it on my phone.
The best feature is it sends track/artist information over bluetooth to my car headunit, something no other music player has done for me. It also allows my headunit to control Google music via my steering wheel controls; another bonus feature that doesn't always work as well with other players.
What Music app are you talking about? On my Razr I have the Moto developed app that gives you access to webradio and Motocast etc., not Googles music app.

Google Music app is available from the Market for free.
Beartard, what kind of vehicle do you have? Is this a Ford sync feature?
I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty with a JVC KD-R926 headunit. Nothing special at all, really.

Just wondering if anyone using this music app, or any others, has been able to get the lock screen music controls to work. I really like having them and they are currently the only reason I have stuck with the stock music app. Thanks
David:
MortPlayer Music has a downloadable lockscreen widget that gives you control on the lockscreen (you will need the player and the widget--two seperate downloads, both free). The only catch is that it's a folder-based player, so it'll only handle music that is actually on your device. Hope this helps!

Correction: you only need the player. You can enable the lockscreen controls via Mortplayer's settings in 'Lockscreen' section.

What features would you like to see added/removed, and are you happy with it compared to the stock music app, or how do you feel it stacks up against another music app.
*This is a general topic, and I'm just curious to see the community's response.*
I don't use it. It doesn't have features I need.
Namely, ability to keep the screen from sleeping, and the ability to limit where it looks for music at.
i like gmusic. I dont use it daily (I use slacker daily) but gmusic works great when I do need it. Its far more reliable than when it first came out, so they're definitely making progress.
My only complaint is when I flash a new rom, it registers my phone as a new device so it adds it to gmusic (which is great) but google limits it to 8 devices. So occasionally I need to go into gmusic website and delete my old devices, which is all the same phone. Its not really a complaint for google but i wish there was a way for it to detect that its the same device/IMEI
I personally love google music I use it daily. I have a computer for school and don't want to cramp it up with music so I can stream everything. Also I use my phone in my truck for music and it is nice to have access to all my music when I need it.
Absolutely love it. I have my entire collection stored. My main problem lies when I'm doing file management and the media scanner starts while I'm playing music. Google Music stops streaming completely and I have to manually restart it. I turned caching off, so that the song being played is solely dependent on the connection, but it still does it. I suppose it stops to look for new songs that might have been added. I'd like it to at least resume playback when scanning stops.
The other thing is with optimization I guess. In my last billing cycle, I got throttled and streaming was impossible (as expected). However, Pandora was still able to stream entire songs, for long sessions without stutter (it just took longer between songs). I'm curious if it'd be possible for them to improve performance on slow networks, so that it's on par with Pandora.

General is something related directly to the phone or an app that comes stock with the phone. GoogleMusic does not fit that description since it has to be installed by the user and not everyone uses it. This should have been in Themes and Apps. Just sayin'.
I wish it would sync with a folder on my phone with all my music, so that when it tries to play a song, it checks that folder on my phone first before downloading the song with a weird name in another random folder. That way, whenever I add a song on my computer to the Google Music Folder, it adds to my phone as well when I try to play it, keeping my music in sync.

That'd be boss. Maybe in a future update?
I love google music.
Especially after switching from iTunes and my iPhone 4. I really hated iTunes haha
i like it on my zoom and Google TV. But I wish it would sync playlist too. A good playlist takes time and it wouldn't be nice to listen to them on phone, tablet and TV. The main thing that make be go back to the Samsung music player is that while connected to my Bluetooth stereo it shows track info on the stereo but the Google music doesn't. Not a big thing, but enough to keep me using the samsung player. If those two were fixed it would be a perfect player.

I too converted, and couldn't be happier.
Absolutely love Google music. No complaints here, it works great. I'm really happy that Google came out with this app, I show everyone with an Android phone.
im using PowerAmp i think its better than gMusic
Not bad... Steaming better but still slower than other streaming apps.
My biggest complaint is music purchased can only be played in gmusic and can't be downloaded to phone or computer. Frustrating when I paid for something. if they keep prices at $4.99 album $.49 song I might get over it... Doubtful that will last.
Saw app in market that claims to make music portable though.

Just click on the song you purchased and click download. It will let you download it at 320k and no drm. Also the google music manager has an option to auto download any purchased songs to your pc automatically.

I would really like to be able to download my music that was uploaded to google music. I had everything in itunes also, and one day after it was all uploaded itunes moved everything without me knowing it and that file got deleted on accident. Of course i didn't care at the time because nothing should have been there. Thanks itunes.

My only complaint is the shuffle feature isnt very good at all, I only have a library of about 400 songs yet some songs I never hear when I use shuffle all n some songs I will hear twice in a 10 song span. I use gmusic daily n love it other than that.

I wish there was a way to manage the songs on the server from the phone. I sent all my music to the server and now run across songs (when in shuffle) that I no longer want. Would like to delete the song off the server from my phone.

I would like to open the browser, listen music/radio program found from a site, and then open another app reading e-books/comics. Is it possible to keep the sound playing while I am reading?

Post which radio station you would like to hear, and we could try it out using different players/browsers. Not all radios broadcast in the same way (Winamp broadcast, Mp3, WMA, Flash, Real, who knows which format it is).
If what you want is just listen online radio, but you have no fav station, just use TuneIn Radio
I used to listen to some programmes, which are not online radio station included in TuneIn Radio. I just access the website using my browser and start playing the programme. (As far as I know, usually they are mp3.)
Besides, sometimes I would like to listen music of some MV from YouTube. It will be great pleasure if I can work on other apps while listening to the browser.
Pandora will continue to play in the background.

For YouTube music vids I suggest using stick it which allows videos to be played in the background or on top, as well as playing you're own files on the device

So, I have a station or two that I like to listen to while riding my bike. A lot of times I go out of 4g. I would like to (repeatedly) record an hour or so onto the internal memory (or sd card) so I can easily listen later. Is there an easy way to do this?
Also would like to do the same with SoundCloud and the like.
Thoughts?
What I do is subscribe to Google Play Music. It let's you create playlists that you can then download for offline listening. It also has a radio feature that will select songs simiar to the genre/artist/album/song you want to listen to, which you can also download for offline use. It costs $10/month for a single person, or $15/month for up to 6 people. While it isn't HiFi music, they have a decent selection, and it can be played on other devices too.
I have Spotify and Pandora, so I have a few options for music...I am trying specifically to record from a radio station that I really like.
Anyone?

Tunein Radio (paid) will allow you to record any station that you can open in the app. It has a surprisingly large amount of local radio stations by area. It also use to have an option to manually add stations on their webpage but that seems to have been removed.
What I would really like to do is record from my Sirius Xm online app.
Anyone have thoughts on that?
(Xm really doesn't want you doing that!)
