Ok so i got my Lumia 920 via Bestbuy Mobile but it's an ATT phone.
As far as i know i'm still supposed to get the free charging plate ( i know it's on back order atm)
But I have yet to get any confirmation as to if I'm getting a plate or not.... any ideas? I've been through customer support multiple times with limited success, they either don't speak English or don't have any clue about the promotion (its on ATT's 920 page in huge red letters -___-)
I had to called AT&T after I got my phone to place an order for the free charging plate, I never got any confirmation and 2 weeks later it just showed up.

You request it directly through Nokia, but you have to wait 2 weeks for your IMEI to show up in their system (so they can be sure you don't take the phone back).

That's only for the UK, the free charger deal here in the US is done through AT&T.

You know, I'm not sure, did Best Buy say anything about it when you bought it? I would contact them, I've bought phones through them and they are really good about taking care of you. I got mine today from AT&T by the way, so cool to plop it down and charge, look, no wires ma! lol

Bestbuy didn't say anything, they thought i had to go through ATT. Im going to bug ATT again today and ask for a free one if i give them the info for the phone(i still have the box and all that). I don't want to buy a 40 dollar charger im supposed to get for free :|
i think people who ended up buying from best buy had to force them to match the ATT offer to get it, ATT won't honor it unless you buy it from them iirc.
ATT was so confused about their own offer when they launched the phone though that i ended up with 2 free plates instead of one.

well i got it via best buy mobile... so technically it's still through ATT, came with the ATT sim and ATT box and such. I don't see why it's so hard to get the damn order placed... i have the phone, i have the recipe, i have all the numbers corresponding to the phone.
ATT is still confused about the wireless charger offer. I spent 50min on the phone 2 days ago and they claim they couldn't order the yellow at all, so I had to order the black charger. To my surprise, it shipped same day and I received it within 24hrs. What sucks is they won't let me cancel my other order for a red one as I'm tired of waiting. I doubt it will ship this year which im getting more annoyed by the day.

At&t sent me mine, I bought through best buy and called customer care later and they were very helpful and quick to send it out, my charger and replacement warranty phone will be here tomorrow both in red even though I originally bought black they swapped color for me when my black phone crapped out on me

I just got my charger plate today. I ordered red, but they sent me a black one along with a note stating:
"Thank you for your purchase of the Nokia Lumia 920. Please find your FREE wireless charging plate enclosed. Regrettably, due to the popularity of the Lumia 920 and inventory constraints this Holiday season, we are unable to fulfill your choice of color for the charging plate. I got my Lumia 920 and was told to re-order the wireless charger for free 15 days after the day I purchased on November 15, 2012. I called the ATT customer service on Dec 17. They told me that the wireless charger is not free and it is sold at 49 dollars. I was confused and the customer service told me that my account indicated 49 dollars to be charged for this wireless charger. Therefore, I just told them to cancel this order and credit this amount back to my account.
Mine came in black too with an apology letter, but I actually prefer the black charger

I would too. I'd give them a call first and then drive to the nearest AT&T store to demand an exchange. I'm sure they've got their supply already.

I tried that but the store i went to had 0 notes, and said even if they had one they couldn't do a swap...
So at&t says they can't ship me just a battery door and has to send me a replacement phone, but they won't ship out the replacement until I agree to pay the full price again (692$ after taxes) and then they'll refund me the first total in about 2 weeks after they've received the first phone back. I'm not paying 700$ for a new battery door, this is asinine...
at this point, manage with the broken one and order one for about 13$ online to save yourself the hassle of the payments and refunds. Thats absurd though.

not the best option but you could just get one of them flip cases that best buy is giving out with pre-orderes, i believe i read those are a back with the flip cover attached.

Oh I hear you. But some times you just gotta deal. I wouldn't give them another 700 because they messed up either. Just convince yourself you want a battery cover thats a different color so that way you'd have to order it !
I bought an Atrix last year that had a problem with the speaker and I went to the ATT store and they swapped it out right away. They won't just take care of you?
Is it the bottom tabs? They are bigger and are supposed to go in first. If not maybe try an x-acto knife to trim the tabs to the correct spec. Both of mine came in perfect.

doesn't sound right. This is what I did when my Samsung Infuse failed.
1) in a pleasant manor...went straight to the at&t store and had them deal with it as a "warranty" issue. They actually called the support line and told them that yes, the phone had issues. I just had to get on the line at the AT&T store and agree to the legal jargon.
2) They sent me a new phone (no battery, etc.) with a return box and if they didn't get my broken one back within a certain amount of time (2 weeks??? can't remember) they THEN would charge me for a full phone.
Point is get the local AT&T store employees to support your cause. That shouldn't be a problem.

As I mentioned on another post I actually called CPW this morning and they confirmed my Blue one was ok for delivery tomorrow morning.
I then saw the announcement on their website and there is now after talking to them ZERO chance of seeing it for many weeks.
Really unimpressed with them.
it seems the white one is available may have to go for that.

If you pre-ordered I doubt you will be able to get a white one, I went into the Vodafone shop today to ask the same thing, and they said the only way they could do it is if I set up a whole new contract for a white one then refused the delivery of my blue one.

You are lucky then, Vodafone wouldn't budge at all for me, so I have no choice but to wait. It's annoying as my sister is waiting for my old phone as well, so she is going to nag and moan to me every day until it arrives and then I am going to have to book another day off work short notice to collect it.

Damn, I just started a thread about this.
I changed to white with the CPW today. My current contract terminates on the 6th, so can't wait to get my new contract. Plus I'm an impatient child.
The guy at CPW did say that the few blue units they received seemed fine and is not sure what the defect is.
He was surprised when I said I heard about it as a rumour some weeks ago through XDA. He didn't know what XDA was and insisted they only found out there COULD be a problem earlier this week.
My argument was that he indicated they lacked supplies of the blue model, so wouldn't have been able to deliver on their promise anyway and asked if they where never going to have enough blue models then why, even up to yesterday, they told me its all good?
No comment from the guy other than, your change to the white model has been processed and SHOULD be with you by Thursday.

Just for anyone looking for sim free stock in the UK, I just got an email from clove saying they are getting some white 920 in tomorrow and their site says £520 inc vat. I'd imagine they'll go quick so get over there if you want one.
I caved and picked one up at the weekend on contract in black and it's an awesome phone. Had a look at white, but actually think black looks classier with the matt finish and also feels nicer to hold than the gloss white. The white still looks very nice though in the flesh - I was very tempted!

I ordered mine around 8pm (Norwegian time) yesterday, got this email at 11.16am today:
"Many thanks for the information. Your order will now be progressed. When we send your order you will receive your tracking reference by email. We are expecting our machines today, however, probably not in time for Fedex, so your order will be shipped Wednesday for delivery within 1-2 working days."
A user on a norwegian discussionboard ordered as well around the time I ordered, and his just changed to SHIPPING about 15 minutes ago, delivery via DHL.
Im expecting it in-hand by thursday/friday.

Would it be possible for someone who's ordered from clove be able to confirm the device is factory unlocked please? I'm on an O2 contract, and very tempted to get myself a 920 factory unlocked/sim free, provided it will accept my o2 sim card, unlike the "sim free but locked to EE" devices that phones4u are selling. I know Clove are stating that their devices are factory unlocked, but it'd be nice if this could be confirmed.

A guy on a norwegian smartphone forum got his today, its unlocked.
Also, I have an email from Clove confirming that they are in fact unlocked and will work with my operator here in Norway, which would mean its fully unlocked indeed.

I got mine yesterday too. I am on Giffgaff, which uses the o2 network, which works fine!
I spoke with a T-Mobile yep yesterday who said he thinks the white phone will only be available online.
I'm hoping to get mine in the store. Is this true

I call bull. Maybe the stores might not have it right away or short supply but I highly doubt that the stores will never sell the white one. Besides its still not the 25th yet so maybe they will get some more shipments this week.
Like the purple Xperia Z, white G2 is online only at least for now.

I called 15 stores in the area in the last coupe days finally found one who said they had a white G2. Got there & the manager wanted me to pay a restocking fee to exchange even though I told him my One was defective (gap issue).
He tried to cut a deal with me to sell me 50 bucks worth of accessories & when they saw I wasn't budging, the girl behind the counter told me all of a sudden they don't have the white phone anymore only black...
I dont think most stores will be getting the white in stock. Judging by the info that I've seen with the device it will be treated like the purple xperia or the white note 2. There may be hope for some high volume stores getting it.

I preordered mine, so I got two already. Couldnt wait for the 25th in-store when I found they were shipping early. Plus Att dont have a data plan that will meet my needs without breaking the bank.

Went to my store this morning but they only had black. I had the girl document everything so I could possibly get a white one somewhere else. On the bright side they had clear screen covers and cases galore for the G2

Does it vary store by store? If you look at the Check Shipping and Availability option, some stores have:
"Pre-Order Now
Pick up 04/10/2015"
and most others just say "Unavailable"
It depends if the stores processed the check in. Some wont have it done until the morning. Once the sku is in the system it auto emails the pre order customers.
Since you work for BB, can you tell me what I should do if my phone has the scratched screen issue? Will they let me have another one right away?

I love how everyone is trying to narrow it down to the minute I know we're all stoked, but come on now guys. Just give the store a call every now and then after they open to find out when it will be available. worst case scenario is you get it 2 hours after they have it available.

Lol. This is my exact experience. They didn't have my 64GB Edge on ATT so I got my $50 back and walked to ATT. Not only did they have the Edge, they had it in 64 and white. My exact preorder. Super happy. No scratches !!!!

the best buy manager called me in the morning saying they got their shipment late but would arrive 1-3pm. He called again later when the shipment arrived and I made an appointment.
It took a while to actually get the phone once I was in the store because of some computer glitches, but I have mine! and I am happy.
