Its not called glass my friends but it's called Digitizer....
Digitizer is what makes your touch screen works....since you broke it then it just a matter of time before you touch screen become faulty.....
sent it to any phone repair shop to replace the Digitizer....

Same thing happened with my Smultron...
I suggest you going to service centre...
Here in India, they charge 2600Rs...50$
Or you can order the screen from ebay and it costs around 25$ (custom charges vary with country)
And then repair the screen by yourself through ifixit.com
But its risky...
There is no way you can get a genuine glass top... you will have to buy the whole front panel and then replace it
Sent via 'rooted' BEETEL landline

Sony service center says Rs 10500/- for change.
R u serviced your phone?
And how much price?

Told you already :banghead:
If only the front digitizer (glass panel) is broken then Sony service center asked me for 2600Rs...
I haven't got it repaired because only a small corner is cracked on my screen...

OK.
Thanks.

My area's Sony service center says only change with LCD. Price is 10500. Not possible to change only glass.

[Q] Xperia U Help : Touchscreen, Capacitive buttons not working

Hi all,
I just purchased a pretty cheap Xperia U off ebay, and upon unboxing I discovered that it does not respond to touch.
The touchscreen does not respond, the capacitive buttons above the light bar do not work.
I tried updating firmware using PC Companion, then uses SUS. Update worked fine but still stuck with same problem.
Device boots fine, but I cannot even unlock it. The power buttons, volume buttons work fine. What could be a possible cause with this?
Could it be that during transportation the touchscreen connector got loose?
Is it a software issue? What could be a possible way to perform a recovery?
Is it a hardware issue? Should I take it to a Sony repair center? Im pretty sure I dont have any warranty on this, its an imported fone.
Seems lik a hardware problem.. Take it to repair shop.

Sounds to me like the digitzer possibly isn't working. AFAIK u have to replace the entire screen if so (I had the same problem on my mini pro).

You mean something to cover the whole phone from falling? Hard to get because I think the antenna and Mic is at the bottom so you dont really want to cover those, the bottom cover is easily replaced though

Cracked screen replacement help

I just dropped my phone right on a rock yesterday and the screen is cracked. I see two different replacement parts online, one called an LCD Screen Replacement and one called a Touch Screen Replacement. Which one do I need? The top glass part of my screen is the part that's cracked. I'm pretty sure underneath it is fine
Edit: You can see both products on this page under "You May Also Like": http://www.repairsuniverse.com/htc-evo-4g-lte-lcd-screen-replacement.html

The lcd and the glass are glued together so you would need to separate it.

$150 to asurion and you can get a complete replacement.

This is a good deal and I would jump on it if I was the OP. I got mine from etradesupply and paid ~100 shipped. Yes, indeed, you might only need the glass part. however, as it was posted, it is glued to the touch screen part, good luck taking it apart without damaging the touch screen, and good luck gluing it back together.
This is how my touchscreen came apart (I had one complete with digitizer and lcd ready to go, but I decided to try and take them apart just to see if it's possible).

Don't forget to get some glue for the touchscreen/digitizer assembly to the back of the internal case/skeleton part. I didn't use any as I thought there was plenty left on the skeleton part, and while my screen isn't anywhere close to falling out or not functioning properly, there is one corner that sits maybe 1/32nd of an inch higher than the case, so it does look goofy...

Got New Atrix Need Help

Hi Guys got new Atrix 4G ..phone works normally no problems with Touch screen functions normal but there are 2 problems that im facing
1)FingerPrint Scanner doesn't work Swipe too short error or doesn't detect at all.I don't need fingerprint anyway
2)Seems to be digitizer is loose ...even I press it will be popping up after few minutes...but touchscreen works normally no issue.
Please help me guys...

I have exactly the same problem with a brand new Atrix coming from the seller "befine" on a famous auctions website. Fingerprint reader doesnt detect anything. I ordered a new reader module, opened a case on Paypal and asked the seller 28$ back to cover the cost of the new fingerprint reader. The seller accepted. Dont hesitate to do the same.
Just before I bought another new Atrix from a different seller on the same website and the ribbon flex cable from the volume butons was damaged (luckily I couldn't enter fastboot mode because of this defect so I quickly noticed it before unlocking bootlader and stuff), I had to send it back to Germany and get refund.
It looks like its rather tricky to buy a cheap "brand new" Atrix, please beware...
Thanks mate your reply where can i buy fingerprint?

You are supposed to have been born with it...
They say human organ trading is popular in some countries but I don't think they sell fingerprints. You can ask though...

Back panel peeling

Anyone else has/had their Z2 back panel lifting/peeling on one of the corners?
Is this something that Sony service centre can repair or requires a replacement?
I did some searching and looks like some had this issue since the original Z

I've had the phone for a week and only noticed it yesterday when I placed the phone on a table and saw the phone wasn't completely flat to the surface.
Planning to visit Sony service centre today.
Have been quite happy with the phone otherwise so far.
