try with a diff USB port alltogether and see, also please kill all the 'Kies' process in the background since it affects with ODIN performance

it's like it just froze in the middle of upgrading.
I couldn't add a picture due to the number of my posts.
Would it be safe to remove the usb cable and plug try plugging it through the rear usb slot? On my device's screen it says "do not turn off target!!".
Thanks.

Unfortunately I think its a problem with internal memory not been able to write on.I think its an SDS, same case of a friend we took it to a repair shop (No warranty ) but they said that only changing the motherboard can fix the problem.
I hope its not your case.If it is and your phone is still on warranty take it to them they will fix it for free.

You need to be more precise:
1. What's your device (If I remember correctly, it is a 4.0 I won't advance further to give false information)
2. What rom are you trying to flash
Upon receiving those informations, we can better help you.
1 . my device - yp-gi1cw ( international version ) / samsung galaxy player/wifi 4.2
2 . my rom - The rooted ROM of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884071
Ive flashed a kernel sucsess but now the rom
still the same problem
