All 3 devices are "splash-proof".
the displays are installed and fused the same, so is the back cover.
they are glued and rubber sealed. all 3 devices have CONNECTIONS for wireless
charging. they just don't have the coils embedded into the cover.

Well, since only Droid DNA is known to have wireless charging feature, the lack of the coils was the reason the Butterfly & J Butterfly don't have wireless charging?
Btw, this splash proof feature is very common among other smartphones right?

no, the splash-proof is a bit more, "proof" on this device. honestly don't remember
seeing a single "water marker" sticker on my last teardown.
(gnexus had 3+)
the coils which accept the signal from the pad, need to be integrated into the phone somehow.
I think it was/is a market choice. and fairly easy to make work, if you are inclined to remove a glued cover from your phone.

Will the HTC J Butterfly work on international GSM/UMTS? For example in Australia on 2G/3G/LTE or will I need to purchase the non Japanese version?. Australia frequencies are GSM 900, 1800 / UMTS 850, 900, 2100

Lol you forgot something very important.
HTC J Butterfly is fatter and has a plastic back-cover (see the pics in the other thread about that)

This cleared up everything phew

More cool stuff to try!

Possible new stuff for our devices:
Car Charger FM Transmitter for O2/HTC/Dopod with LCD Display

SD to MicroSD/TransFlash Card Converter Module
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.27001
___might take some riggin' but sounds like it has possibilities!
I don't have the capability to try either of these (long story, involves an ex and online purchases ), but I'm sure someone either has or is willing to give it a shot!
Very interesting...
With this oversized battery cover for my extended battery I could see a useful hiding spot for that micro SD to SD converter...
Still not brave enough to disassemble my $300 phone.
I do like the idea of the SD adapter and extended battery and cover. I doubt you'd have to disassemble the phone to pull it off, just shave off a bit of the extended battery cover and route the ribbon cable into it and slap it back together.
Don't know if the dream would support the transfer speeds, but a 150x full size SD would be sweet.
FM transmitter would be nice, except all the frequencies are used up in this area.
Would there be any benefits from having a regular SD card though? I thought that a class 6 microsdhc is just as fast? They're about the same price, too.

That is the question. Class 6 is the highest rating, which is supposed to denote a minimum of 6MB/sec write speed. A Wikipedia article says class 6 = 40x.
Some full size cards claim to be faster than that. Kingston manufactures one that claims 120x speed. I wouldn't expect triple speed, but it would be fun to test.
This is all assuming that the adapter will work, and that the i/o in the phone can keep up.
With a full size SD card you could use a eyefi card.

Ordered one of those ^^^ earlier this week. I'll review it once it comes in.

Best Universal charge/sync cradle..

I bought this cradle a few weeks ago and i love it so much i wanted to share it with you guys!
The good points...Universal, works with any device,
it comes with a separate charger lead off the back with different tips so you can charge other phones while Syncing.
Nice to use, no fiddly slotting it into place. And works in landscape!
its got a blue light!! anything with a blue lights got to be good right
Loads of other stuff..
Bad points...
Only shipped to Europe apparently,(found similar in US in post #3)
Have to use a Sync lead..i don't mind but some might, I actually think its better cos i can pick it up and not have to disconnect it, but hey thats just me.
Basically its cheap and great.

Q: Does anyone think this "Won't" work with T-Mobile TP2 ? It isn't specifically listed on the T-Mobile specific link. ?
Cradle, yes, but not if you have a case
Hi,
I have one of those types of cradles. They are great, UNLESS...
--You have a case on your device. There is no room between the cradle back and the support back that allows you to place the device in the cradle.
--You have an extended battery. These don't (again) have any space that will allow you to put the device in the cradle since there's no room to feasibly put the device in the cradle if you have an extended battery.
I don't know why these things (cradles) have this support back and don't leave any space for any extended options.

T-Mobile HTC Touch Pro 2 Sync and Charge Desktop Charger with 2nd Battery Slot - $26.99[/QUOTE]
That exact same cradle is on e-bay for $13 shipped to the U.S. I bought two of them. Works great for me, and the price is right. As others have noted, it's a little fiddly to slide it on, and tends to stick when sliding it off. And it won't work with a case or an extended battery, but the film guards are ok.
Is your device the T-Mobile version?
Last cradle I bought didn't fit it.

One X speaker/ charging dock?

Does anyone know yet if this:
http://www.clove.co.uk/htc-one-x-cr-s650-desktop-cradle-with-speakers-99h10722-00
will work with the X+?
No, but the one for the AT&T one X should work perfectly IIRC.
"Put AT&T's One X and One X+ side-by-side, and other than the color difference you'd be hard-pressed to tell them apart. The carrier's logo is slightly different, but that's about it -- even the docking pins in the back line up perfectly."
I'm not allowed to post links yet, if you want the source, just google the above quote in quotes.

Sorry, but it works for me..
Using ARHD, but worked with stocked rom either..
Phone is beeing charged..
Landscape Rosie mod for custom rom now flips the screen also in dock..
Anyone tried any docks with the AT&T HOX+? I'm looking to replace my crappy old alarm clock and would prefer something that doesn't use the micro USB, but I've been unable to find anything. The HTC CR s650 seems to only work with the international HOX+, correct?
Doesn't work with one x+
I had the HTC One x and bought the speaker cradle from their website links, when my one x broke I got a one X+ as I thought all the accessories would work, physically they're identical, all cases work, but the dock doesn't work, it charges the phone but doesn't play audio.
There's no good reason for this, as the phones are virtually identical save for a few internal differences.
Rooted International HOX+ with Custom ViperX 1.0.1 ROM shows now dockmode, when connected to cradle CRS650 and works perfectly using all benefits from the cradle (charging and speakers)..
I had a One X (original dual core version) and it DOES NOT FIT the CR650 dock 100%. if you wiggle it around it will work for a second or so, but the international version and the AT&T version of the original One X have a slightly different POGO layout. Assuming the AT&T X+ has that same layout as the original AT&T One X, it wont fit. When I looked at my old One X with my AT&T One X+, the pogo pins look like they are in the exact same spot.

Please note: This will NOT fit AT&T HTC One X
Hi there,
just for your information: I have the CR S650 and the international HOX+ here. Charging and speakers work as they should, but theres no dedicated dock mode in terms of software. The HOX+ will rotate when lying in the dock, but the dock app is missing. If you need it back, you have to flash a custom ROM like InsertCoin...

No need to flash custom ROM. For dock mode on stock ROM just install two applications: DockMode.apk and HTC_Dock_Screen.apk. That is all. Tested on HOX + international with ROM 1.17.401.1.
CR-S650 modification for AT&T HOX+
After seeing someone mod the CR-S650 to fit the AT&T HOX, I ordered the dock and modified it to work with the HOX+. It was actually a lot easier than I thought because the POGO pins are only shifted over 1 space. So I took it apart, drilled a hole one space over and moved the entire POGO board over 1 slot. Now I have a working CR-S660 for my AT&T HOX+!
Moving the POGO pins over 1 slot lines up w/ the phone horizontally, but it's still a bit off vertically. I had to shave off the two small plastic tabs on the botton of the dock. This most likely means that I won't be able to use a case w/ the phone, but still very happy to have a working dock w/ POGO pins.

Interesting...so HTC used a different polycarbonat housing for the ATT Hox+? Why did they do such a thing? Are there also different accessoires like car holder and so on which are using the POGO pins?

So it plays audio or not ? I do not care about dock mode, i just want it to work as alarm clock. I'm talking about HOX+ black international version with red buttons and tegra3.
?
It does play audio via music player and of course system sounds (ringtone, sms, alarm...), but no loudspeaker during calls. But thats more a problem of the jelly bean update from HTC since it worked with ICS. And i have the One X+ you described, international version.

[Q] Usb Charger, Data Frequencies, Durablity etc..

Ok i am thinking about buying an amaze 4g but i do have a few questions:
1. I noticed the amaze has a special usb charger, will i damage the port by using a regular microusb, or will it all be good?
2. Can this phone operate on AT&T 3g/4g frequencies?
3. I've read around but i seem to get mixed answers, does the amaze 4g have gorilla glass, or just Scratch resistant?
4. Are there OEM docks for this phone? htc doesn't have any on their website and i cant seem to find any on amazon.
Thanks in advance
P.S. Wasn't sure if this should go in general or Q&A

Never heard of it, wonder what it'll cost. Not too sure about the no bezel stuff. I used to think bezels on a phone this size were necessary, but it's almost impossible to use a phone this size with one hand anyway.
I just wish it didn't look like, as the author wrote, an iPhone, a One M9, and a HAM7.

I saw this phone for $999.99. That's just to my much. It is a awesome device though. Glad to see non main stream devices come out the closest in the USA with great phone to compete with Samsung and HTC. This will make them drop there prices pretty soon once people catch on that better is not based on name based on technology.
