I am running Gingeritis 3D v1.2 on my Thunderbolt and am having issues...
There has always been an issue with the sound enhancements that this ROM includes (Beats Audio, Dolby, SRS), so sometimes you had to dirty flash the ROM a few times for it to carry over all the files to prevent it from force closing when choosing between music sound effects.
After I made a backup for this ROM, it goes right back to having the force closes when selecting the effects button. Any ideas why?
Also my video stopped working. Any ideas on why that too?
I know this can be fixed with a simple reflash, but God knows I don't want to set everything back up again for it to eventually do the same thing again. I've also run a permission fix and it doesn't do any good.
Any other ROM recommendations that include Beats and SRS? Dolby was nice, but I've never heard of another ROM including all three enhancements.
I've always ran Gingeritis 3D because, for some reason, its always been the most stable on my phone and I really like how customizable it is.

Infected eternity is probably the best for those music mods. I never found a rom that was better in that regard.

Is there a mod for the 6 bar signal?
I could have sworn when I flashed it before, it was only the 4 bar.

I don't know. You could try a desire hd mod. They sometimes work.

Has anyone tried it with the gingerbread player instead of the sense player?
anyone tried getting this to work for bamf or tried to get an apk or zip
It's in synergy and it works
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA Premium App
It also works in both CM7 and OMFGB.
It seems to work in all AOSP ROMs, but I've never seen it in any Sense ROM. I don't know why. However... if you're running BAMF 2.1 or higher, you can use Equalizer instead. Sometimes I like it better than DSP Manager, sometimes I don't. Depends on what I'm listening to.
If you're running AOSP, like CM7, you can use either DSP Manager OR Equalizer. Kinda nice using them interchangeably to get different results in the same ROM.
DSPManager is awesome on CM7! I can hear my phone from downstairs haha.
What settings do u use on dsp? Like put all up to top or something else?

For phone speaker I have them set to 4.0 all the way across. Plenty loud!
It does this often when i exit maps, exit browser, exit tapatalk. usually when I'm running an app for a while it does that too. Sense would do that on my incredible as well. I don't think It's a ROM thing, maybe just an HTCsense thing coupled with usage. It gets annoying. I've ran the 2 ROMs on my phone so far. Uberbamf, and latest synergy nightly. Both behave the same and both have system tweak tools. I flash, i wipe. Is there anything I can do to keep sense in memory with those tools? Or do I limit the way I use my phone? I'm guessing there could be a solution besides flashing an aosp ROM (which I know some would suggest) Or using home replacement app? I don't care for any of those options. I just wanna enjoy my sense more.

My bolt did the same thing. Just use launcher pro and you will be golden.

I have been having the same issue with preview 1 of Uber BAMF but I think I read it was fixed in preview 2 and/or 3. I've just been lazy and haven't updated.

Is anyone else having an issue where Beats Audio has NO effect on Spotify on the Liquid ICS Rom? Is there a possible fix on it other than installing another EQ.
Maybe try reflashing
Sent from my XxX Sense 4 HTC Thunderbolt
It doesn't work with slacker either. No big deal. It'll get fixed eventually.
Sent from my Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2
I've reflashed it a few times.
Anyway, for some odd reason when I installed an equalizer app, the beats audio started working with Spotify... seems a bit weird there :/

The equalizer app may have added a lib that spotify needs. What eq did you install?
Sent from my ThunderBolt using Tapatalk 2
It's called Music Volume EQ:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...esult#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImhyLnBvZGxhbmljYSJd
Did you uninstall this eq and it still worked? I think this eq took over where beats wasn't working and you're just thinking that beats is working.
Sent from my Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2
I've had the sound cut out all together in Spotify. A reboot fixed. I've had a few other things wack out like chrome always freezing. I'm going to wipe and reflash. I'll let you know if that helped
Sent from my Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2
awesome beats won't work with pandora either.
I was under the impression that beats only worked with the stock music player, but then that might be a stock limitation and not really matter when it comes to custom roms <.<

Awesome beats is just what they decided to call the dsp manager for cm9/cm10. It should integrate with and music app like it did on cm7.

Nope. I actually started enabling and disabling beats features while the song was playing, such as increasing bass etc and it was functioning. I didn't uninstall the the EQ, but I did close it by holding the power button down for an extended period of time.
I'll try your method again. I've tried several others but none of them work. So far volume + has worked the best.

Hi guys I wanted to share what I found to be working on my Sprint Optimus G.
I've been using this audio engine and the results have been pretty great.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2002367
Use the universal installation in aroma and remember if you install walkman don't install any add-ons.
I personally skip the walkman installation and use the noozy add-on.
Please do a nandroid backup before trying and do not install on top of nocturnal's music mod until someone verifies it does not cause any issues.
Remember not to use music player equalizer as the installed app changes sound system wide.
Also don't forget on first boot let device settle and then reboot.
BTW this has worked on my epic 4g, gs3, touchpad, asus transformer and evo 3d with just about the same results: amazing control over sound with great clarity and bass.
I haven't tested on a att version so don't know if it works with no issues as on my sprint version but, wanted to put it out there for your guys as well since I've also been reading these threads from the beginning.
Thanks for viewing.
Backing up right now then I'm going to flash the Universal and then the Noozxoide addon just like you recommended! Will post back and let you know how things go Thanks for the link man.
Why make a separate thread...?
I find Noozoxide to be the best of the sound mods the recent updates only made it better

Nothing beats Voodoo on the Nexus S or Galaxy S because the Galaxy S and Nexus S use a very good audio chip.
so, I've noticed that when using teh Nooz player, if i lock my screen, the music will play to the end of the track, but won't move forward to the next track unless I power on my phone. . . anyone else notice this?
Didn't work on mine
Did the ACID installation along with the Walkman (like they suggested). Followed all the instructions. It gave me the ACID app, the Albums app, the Dolby Mobile app, and the Walkman app. However...
-I didn't get any service for some reason. Just a red X by my bars while I was using it.
-I get force closes every time I go into the Walkman app to mess with the sound enhancements. Literally doesn't let me do anything.
-My music doesn't play...AT ALL. On ANY music player
I followed the directions for version 6.1 perfectly too. Sucks because I just went to Slick Rom and got rid of Nocturnal (and their Sony enhancement app) so I wanted to bring some good sound quality back to the Slick Rom. Oh well...

Don't do the 7.0 preview, either. Headphones won't work and you magically lose the ability to play mp3's.

Has anyone managed to get rid of the sound shutter successfully for the JellyBean 4.1.1? I've erased the sound files, changed the .xml, etc. and tried tons of other stuff but it refuses to be silenced.
I've seen a few mods here, but all of them are for older cameras. i want to keep the current camera, just silence it.

What rom you running, my cam doesn't have shutter sound,,well you can turn the sound on and off

Sounds like you have flashing capability. In that case whatever Rom you are interested in look into the changelog and usually the dev will nptate if they have the shutter sound toggle added...hope that points you in the right direction.
Just did a quick search through roms I've used and OMJ has a jb Rom out with the shutter sound on/off toggle built in...Rom is pretty stock looking with added tweaks etc. check it out along with others on here...
