Hey Guys
The thing is i love the application monitor app on ICS 4.0.3.. Now since yesterday, i have been trying few aosp/aokp roms for the first time..and i dont find any application monitor/ task manager in those roms..i dont like the market apps for this purpose..
So is there anyway i could use this application monitor app (marked in red in Titanium Backup) in a aosp cm9/cm10 rom? That is i have taken the backup of application monitor and would like to restore it once i install cm9/cm10 rom? Will that be possible without causing unecessary problems/troubles?
thanks

there is a software named Link2SD which converts system app to user app... u can try converting application monitor app(marked in red) into user app, then backup with titanium backup n restoring it in custom ROM...
i haven't tried this method myself, but i guess it should work...

I do not use Google backup as I do not sync phone contacts with Google contact.
I do use Titanium Backup, but I do have some concerns about flashing different version of ROM likes 2.3.4 and 2.3.5. Can titanium backup and restore apps in different flavours (likes CM7, AOSP or etc.) / different version (2.3.5 or 2.3.4 or 2.3.3) ?
I also have moved all user apps to sd cards (sd-ext) using Link2SD.
Can I just flashed a new ROM, and use those apps directly?
Also, does boot manager compatible with our phone LG P500? (I know I could just install it and try, just asking if anyone has tried)
Thanks.
For titanium backup question, yes
There is a thread on boot manager in the themes and app section u may want to check it out
On ext stuff, I'm quite useless sorry.

Hi everybody!
I was wondering if there is a way to install in "batch mode" apps from the market. Since I change rom very often, it takes me a lot of time to install over 200 apps, one by one, from the market every time.
Thanks everybody.

Why don't you use Titanium Backup? You can just use the Batch option to backup and then restore all your apps with data. (you should have the pro version for this). You don't have to depend on the Market (or the Play store) for restoring the apps. Titanium Backup even restores the apps with the market links. Couldn't live without it.
Ok thank you for fast reply.... I already bought titanium pro but if I restore the apps from titanium, will they updated from the market? Or what happen with the purchased apps? Thanks you for your help!

Titanium Backup Pro not only backups up your apps and data, but it also backs up 'market links'. So after restoring your apps, your market app will recognize the installed apps and you can update the apps in the future when you get any updates. And it will also work with purchased apps, so don't worry.
My silly method for new roms .
Update apps on the market .
Update the Titanium Pro backup .
Do a Nandroid backup .
New rom .
Restore apps from TB .
Nandroid in reserve in case you want to go back to old rom .

Wow! Perfect!
Now last question: i heard that somebody suggest to restore only the apps and not the data, because it can creates some problem for mixing old data with the new system. Is it true or i can go on in this way?

You can restore Apps+Data for all your apps. No problem. But do NOT restore with Data for any system app coz your new ROM will have different system data. You don't have to worry about normal apps though.

Now I'll try this method to change my stock rom into the new Miui v4!
Everytime i switch roms all my app icons are deleted while all the app's data and folders on my internal sd card are intact... The only way i know to get my icons back is reinstalling every single app i had before which is truly annoying. Anyone knows how to keep all apps when switching roms ?
Thanks.
PD: Avoid the use of titanium backup, its stated not to use on almost every JB rom.

You switch for new versions of a ROM or switching for one ROM to other ROM ?
I believe the best option for recover your applications is the Titanium.
I believe you had this problem because the /data folder is different for Rom to Rom.

Na, i have no issues updating a rom, thing is when i change to another rom.
no other way to fix it without titanium? cm10 (which im currently on) clearly states not to use titanium backup
What? If you change ROMs, you generally have to do a full wipe. That means losing apps. Titanium Backup is one of the only ways to backup/restore data for user apps, or other apps that are similar.
did you switch from an ICS Rom to a JB Rom ? you cant migrate ICS apps to JB Roms - it simply doesn´t work
and you can use "MyBackup" to backup and restore apps ...
Both apps work very fine, but i think titanium is still better
so here is my problem...i am using rainbow mod now....and i am unable to install dft bluetooth transfer....now i want to change my custom rom that supports dft bluetooth file transfer....but i dont want to reinstall a large number of applications again..morever there are apps that were free for specified time only like utorrent remote....i din't find any way specifically for backing up only applications and app data....WP7 easy backup tool backups eveything..firmware and all.......but isnt there any app to backup apps only? so that i change my custom rom and reinstall all apps at once using backup?? please help....
I am currently using Xperia Sola. I frequently flash custom ROMs. However, after installing a new custom ROM, I have to go through the process of installing apps all over again. Also, I would to preserve the settings and data for each of application (which gets lost everytime i reinstall the app). Is there anything which can install/restore a fixed set of apps along with their data(whatsapp,fb messenger, sms backup restore etc) directly in one go for a new ROM.
In case I haven't looked deep enough, please post links to threads which already discussed this.

I am facing one minor issue , not sure if it is because of Titanium Backup.
I use Facebook Messenger a lot, when I restored this , I dint get any notifications from this app , the app was even updated from Google Play Store but stil no notifications
So could it be because the app was not installed cleanly in first place and restored using Titanium Backup? Any one faced similiar issues while using this tool?
