Can't seem to find a link to download the stock rom for the US 5.0 Galaxy Player. I flashed a new rom thinking I did a CWM backup, but apparently I only thought I did.
I've searched around and can't seem to find an ODIN tar or a ZIP that I can flash for the US version other than a file hosted on Multiupload which no longer works. I didn't post in general being that this seems more Development related.
If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.
....................
EDIT: It was a pain to find, but I found the multiupload link, googled it, found the cached page, found the name of the file, googled the name of the file and downloaded from fileserve. I then uploaded to my server. You can download it from there if anyone needs it.

Found it. Posted mirror in first post.
Thank you for finding it. I would like to ask you if you have tried it already.
I don't flash custom ROMs because
until now, I didn't have a stock recovery ROM to restore in case something goes wrong or I didn't like the new ROM. And I don't think Best Buy would want to replace a device with a cracked screen if custom software is installed.
Please, let me know.
Thank you in advance.

I have tried it. I just flashed back to stock. I had to Wipe data via CWM before flashing back. On the first boot it took me to Stock recovery where I wiped data and wiped the cache. It's now working perfect.
As far as I know there seems to only be one custom rom for the US 5.0. Various kernels to try though.
So, in case I just want to restore to stock with the file you made available, I need to have a custom kernel so I can use CWM?, or I can do it from the stock recovery window?.
And the only two options to flash a kernel and a ROM I see for the SGP 5.0 are "Entropy's Daily Driver" and "Eryigit-GB-2.3.6 G70ZCKPA ROM", have you found other options?
Thank you.

Normally you only need to flash the pda, but if you want to re-partition your device then use the pit file as well.

Welcome to the Dev section for the Galaxy Player. This is for development, not for installation help. You should be able to ask in General.
Flashing ROMs can be scary at first, but the Dev board is best left for software development, feedback, etc. It makes it easier for the Devs not to have to wade through a field of nonsense.
tl;dr:
Post questions in General, not in Dev. It's a common mistake, don't worry too much.
I just want it to be as if it just came in a box because I'm selling it, how do I have it stock and unrooted?

Flash the stock rom found here via Odin3 and if it is rooted, download Root Browser from play store and and delete superuser.apk in system/app and delete su binary in system/bin and after you delete these two, reboot and uninstall root browser and you should be good.

Hi Forum,
I need help. I am following the How to Unlock Your Bootloader by AdamOutler.
At Part3: Install Suck It Verizon Insecure Bootloader+Recovery. I downloaded the file and upzip it. I verified MD5 sum and number matches. But when I opened Odin and click on the Bootloader button, Odin said that file invalid, MD5 does not match.
Any advise would be helpful.
My phone is stock i605VRALJB .
Re: Need help- stuck at part 3
Instructions dont say to unzip the file. Just use the file you download
Sent from my virgin Note 2
I tried what you suggested, but Odin failed. The file I download is in zip format.

Thank you very much for your help. I figured out what I done. At step two, I used a BootloaderBaseline2.tar.md5.gz, but unzip. It was funny how Odin used this unzip file and all went through successfully.
I solved my problem. I went back from step one and started all over. Your suggestion help. I am very gracefully for your assistance. I got recovery now.
Now, it is time for me to thank AdamOutler with a donation.

Same here. I just got it 5 hours ago. I has been using Samsung phone for many years, but mostly with ATT and T Mobile. Did not have to deal with lockbootloader.
My wife got a ATT Note 2. I got it rooted with easy. But everyday is a learning opportunity.
Re: Need help- stuck at part 3
If you are going to stay on stock ROM, im reading that you should uninstall SDM or the update can still come through which will lock the bootloader. Just a heads up...

Hey guys, I was trying to root my Note 2 and I ran into a problem. I used the method outlined in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024207 which uses Odin to install the root66 Odin image. Everything went just fine and I used rootchecker to confirm root. Superuser was good to go. Next I went to install a recovery (CWM) so I could do a backup. I installed ROM manager from google play and installed a custom recovery. When I rebooted into recovery I got a message saying the phone had non authorized software on it and to take it to a verizon store. I did a little searching and found a thread that recommended using Odin to reflash the image. Did that. And got the same thing. Should I restore it to stock image as descriped a little further down in the thread (mentioned above)?
Follow instructions to restore with the LL4 update. Then unlock your boot loader next time before installing cwm.
Also next time post this in the right section (QA). Pretty sure you're not releasing anything. I went ahead and reported this to get it moved

Sorry about posting in the wrong area.
Anyhow, I'm a bit confused. Were exactly are the instructions to restore with the LL4 update?
I tried to restore per the instructions and Odin failed. Not sure what to do next.

Extract it before trying to Odin. So right click and choose extract. If it didn't work download 7 zip and use it to extract the file
Sent from the dark on a Note 2
Ok, got it this time. I didn't realize I had to extract the alternate file first.
I was able to flash the correct file this time and the phone is back up and running.
Thanks a bunch for the help.......I majorly appreciate it!!
I noticed after doing the OTA to VRALL4 I wanted to attempt to unlock the bootloader with Adams new method and I was not able to so I tried flashing back to stock firmware VRALLJB and I opened up odin clicked on pda grabbed the firmware file to start to flash and it failed ...What am I doing wrong does anybody have any idea what I need to do ?

I have been trying all day to root this bad boy. After finding nothing but broken link after broken link I finally found <cm-10.1-20121229-UNOFFICIAL-p4wifi.zip> and <cm10.1-20130116-UNOFFICIAL-p4wifi.zip> I am stuck at this point because I don't know which to use and well, quite frankly im a noob. ive watched a couple videos and even talked to a guy who rooted his but, i'm unsure about where to put this friggin file. some people say to have my tab in usb debug mode while others say to the contrary. some say to put my tab into odin3 while others say to have it in recovery mode but the one consistency is that they all say that its simple and "noob proof". Well with all the contradictory methods i've researched the one thing ive concluded is that for a noob it really aint that easy to sort through everything ive found and realize what the hell to do. I really don't wanna brick this frigger so this if anything is a desperate cry for help.
Long story short, I have the files which one do I use and what do I do with it?

There's nothing hard about rooting if you want to flash a custom ROM on your tab, 99.9% of the developers pre-root their ROM's so you dont even have to root it, so did pershoot.
Step 1: You start from zero: you have a gt-p7510 STOCK ROM on android 4.0.4, if not, flash the ics bootloader from droidbasement.com via odin in PDA slot.
Step 2: go to droidbasement.com, and it depends which android version you want to flash, 4.0.4, 4.1.1, or 4.2.2, let's say you want do flash android 4.2.2, download clockworkmod recovery 6.0.3.4, flash it via odin in PDA slot and reboot your device.
Step 3: once you have cwm 6.0.3.4 flashed, connect your tablet to your pc and get the latest nightly version, YOU DON'T WANT TO USE EXPERIMENTAL BUILTS!! Since they were only ment for pure development and they could be very unstable. Download the latest version here http://get.cm/?device=p4wifi here and copy the file over from your computer to your device. DO NOT FORGET!
Step 4: reboot your device into recovery and do a factory reset, go to your 0 folder in recovery and flash the latest nightly built. ( a factory reset via cwm will not delete data on your SDcard
Step 5: reboot your device again when it's done and wait up to 10 minutes.
And last but not least step 6: enjoy!!

Get your tablet in download mode, it's the same way as you go to recovery, but then the other image on the right side, your tab will warn you that flashing other software may cause problems on your tab and blabla, just ignore that and push yes. Connect your tab to your pc and open odin, while it's connected, your pc will look for a driver i think. Once odin is opened, select PDA slot and search for the recovery safed on your computer, then hit the square box and make sure the box in front of'PDA SLOT' is check with a 'V', now it will flash cwm on your tablet
So i have to have odin on my pc?

Why do people always feel they have to run to customs roms? To me that is like saying to somebody who asks how to change a wheel on a car that first they have to remove the engine and put in a supercharged version instead with all the added unreliability that goes with it.... Custom roms are great but sometimes when answering a question the sledgehammer to crack a walnut approach is not the best..... if you are happy with stock rom to start with try rooting that first then if you want to go further try the custom approach
If you just want to root a stock firmware then all you have to do is install clockwork recovery using odin and flash a root zip through recovery.....
Root file is here for you and if you go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44527963#post44527963 there is a good version of odin for your tab and drivers (if you haven't already installed them ) that I recently posted
As long as you are sure it is 7510 you have then recovery for pushing through odin is attached as well
I cant have root permissions after flashing CM 10.2 (I accidentally did full sd card data wipe with twrp 2.6.0.0 before) , now none of apps that request root works..I tried to flash older superuser.zip files but that didnt work (when trying to flash superUS v1.50 zip it always writes ''failed')'. Any solution to that?
Try installing SuperSu from play store, see if that works otherwise if that doesn't work go to android development stickies for this forum' download root.zip and try to root again through recovery

Don't be worried if I don't see you're reply right away.. I'm on my way home from vaction and my service is less than spotty.. ( thanks sprint )

If anybody else needs the files to root or a link to qbking77 video....look at my FAQ thread....everything needed to root is there, minus the Sammy drivers( you can get them when you plug you're tab into the PC )...
Also...do yourself a favor and as soon as you root...go put infamous twrp recovery on the device..I have flashed every single ROM I've put on my device through this recovery...no problems yet...Lol.
