Hi welcome to SGS2 forum
Just some advice first, In here we expect some common sense when asking for help and common sense would dictate that you give relevant information like what rom and kernel you're using etc etc.
Have you checked your roms thread for info?
Have you re-flashed?
Tried other kernel?

It happens on every rom i tried: "stock rom, Diaster, slim"
I tried
What kernels do you recommend?

It happens on stock rom, diaster and slim. I havent tried other roms yet.
You know skype, google+, stock camera so i can take pictures of me making duckface
that is certainly interesting, i have seen a few roms with actually broken camera apps, that give errors, once you activate the silly faces effect on the front facing camera.
also there is a known bug of google+ on several samsung devices including ours, that makes hangouts less than pleasant, i.e. not working at all most of the time.
but given that you experienced it on several roms and in all circumstances actually points to kernel issues, i agree with theatheist. (the rest was just for general information).
when it comes to recommending kernels, it really comes down to what rom you are currently running and personal preference.

Hey guys, Thanks to the community I've become somewhat comfortable with flashing kernels and roms but I'm afraid I still have some questions and requests
Does anyone know of any list that outlines known issues of various custom roms?
For example I found out that Cyanogenmod7 has issues with the camera, for example in my case when i start recording a video, its zoomed in and cant zoom out, etc
Check the development thread relating to the particular rom or kernel ? There's no "easy way" to find this stuff out. It either takes reading/research on your part, or trying the rom/kernel out for yourself & learning that way.

I just did cm7 and find that apps that i dont even use are turning on randomly. Even if i close all running apps right away they will start to come back on again.

Are you recording in 1080p?
It will be like that on all ROMs, it's to do with the way the camera handles 1080p recording.
It's been explained better elsewhere on the forum, but basically it takes a full size image from the sensor and crops it down to 1920x1080 to reduce the processing it has to do.
This won't be as prominent in 720p if you try it, that's handled differently although I can't remember how exactly.
Custom roms all have issues often posted on front page other issues are found as users try the phone and report back .
As said CM7 front page post one .
Upon review of user feedback and bugs that have been discovered with what was released as 7.1.0 stable, we no longer feel the 'stable' tag is appropriate for this rom.
The download is still available, however it is now being treated as a Release Candidate, rather than a proper stable release.
Sorry for all the confusion, and any issues you may experience. We will release a 7.1+ once we feel the ROM has matured to a truly stable status.
Checkrom 3 got rid of my notification bar, sd card, and a few other things, had 2 format my internal sd card and flash a new rom.

Thanks guys yeh i realise that they post the issues but they aren't as specific as id hoped thats all.. I really love custom roms, but i just hope there's one with out errors with camera and one with a music app that enables the 5.1 surround on my phone

I have tried just about everything released for the Amaze 4g and can not decide which rom is the best. Please tell me what you think and why....

No. I refuse!
personal preference, buddy!!! make a decision...its just a phone, not the end of the world.
by the way there are like 500 other threads asking what rom is the best...do a search.
-REFRESH-
Thanks for the suggestion but I have done many searches and Flashes and I disagree. I'm not asking about visual because that obviously is user preference but there has got to be a ROMthat has superior performance over the others to date. This question has been asked before but nothing substantial has been noted. Really just wanted to have the question refreshed and see if anything new popped up. Anybody here running ubuntu? I really like the mouse pointer and wish somehow it could be integrated into one of the roms.
Guys,
I wonder there's a cusom ROM comparison thread on this forum.
Can't make my mind on what to try, and have little time for extensive experiments.
Any known caveats with specific ROMs? Do they support specific features like S-Pen, HDMI output, dock modes, etc?
All of that is found in the OP of each rom. Sorry, but nobody can say one rom is best, because it is purely opinion based. And if you don't have the time to experiment with what's best for you, you probably don't have time to rom your phone at all.

Buddy, i've tried most of them... don't f**k around - hit up The Collector Mesosphere. It's smooth as butter, 720mb free RAM, heavily optimized and the devs are attentive to fixing any bugs.
I use a dock and finally relieved that you can exit dock mode ... i hated the other dock mode with the clock.... super gay
Idk but flapjaxxx ics has a cheesy grin on my face

I have used OnlyOne ICS and it is by far the best rom, uses a lot of Galaxy SIII themes, widgets, apps, and runs extremely smooth. I have even been able to use the S-Beam that comes on SIII. It is quite fast, only problem I have come to is there is no overclocking. Have tried other ROMS but this is by far the best one out there. You need to try this...
Hope this thread stays alive....
I have Objection #2 R1 and so far so good......a couple little things but nothing that gets in my way.
I know that people are getting killed for this, but are all ROMS now supporting instagram? i know it's not a big deal for a lot of people, but I happen to LOVE my social networking and I do love Instagram!

Yes, I've flashed almost all the roms and Instagram is working flawlessly on them all.
So, theres this camera here I want to flash but gallery fc's when ever I open Camera, thus making it un-usable, anybody have a solution or maybe a link to a better or similar flashable camera? Heres the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2133327 , what I'm mainly looking for is macro focus, but the more features the better!

Last i checked and tested, any 4.2 Camera port is for AOSP ROMs only. I have not found one nor gotten it to work on anything other than AOSP ROMs. I may be wrong, just stating my experiences.

D'oh. Well I like to stay on Stock-Based roms because I like full functionality of the dock, but thats not too important I guess, but I'm using a 4.2 camera on Hydro 7.0 right now, and its working fine, would this be cause its specifically made for the TF300T?

I consider the second one to be more stable as it has HW acceleration working, but the first rom has more features and an extensive theme. I'd recommend trying both roms for a bit and just seeing which one you like the most, but many newer apps have started to use HW acceleration so performance is likely to be better on the second rom, but again, your experience may differ to mine so it's worth trying both out

It depends on your device. If it has a physical home button, choose the INTL kernel. If it only has soft keys on the front, choose the USA kernel
