Hello,
I have rooted my Kyocera Rise recently so that I could install hp beats audio drivers on the phone. Something went wrong during the install and now the audio drivers are corrupted and crash the app whenever it has to create a sound. My question is that since I have heard the kyocera rise is pretty locked down on the rom flashing side, is there anyway that I could reinstall the stock 4.0.4 on the kyocera rise?
I am a complete n00b when it comes to flashing roms, but am still pretty good with hardware. Could anyone give me a little guidance on what I have to do to restore the stock android or what I have to do to flash a stock rom. Thanks.
F.Y.I. I did do a TB but was an idiot and did not verify the files, and now everything is corrupted. Thanks for all the help!
Also, if anyone has the stock drivers in the system folder such as etc and the others, that would help a lot, and a TB backup of stock would be even better. A one stop way of restoring android would be fantastic instead of going through all the steps in: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801690
And would this work: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ve...-back-clean-factory-stock-update-10-23-a.html
im having this very same problem and im wondering if anyone solved this for you?

Hello everyone, I just wanted to find out why recently whenever i perform a backup of my rom, my radio is not recognized and i have no signal. Even after i push the modem file with odin it does not always fix the problem. After several attempts and luck it seems to fix it but lately I have had to reinstall the rom and everything all over to get my phone back to operation. Even when doing a restore it does not always restore the radio, I think once it did. If anyone could help shed some light on this problem I would greatly appreciate it. This has not always happened and just recently started to occur.
Hm.. Maybe you should just start from Original Stock Rom
Best way to fix problem here's my guide.

Thankyou, ill keep that bookmarked and use it in the future. I already reinstalled my rom to get my phone working again.
So it's been a while since I did any rooting/recovery stuff on phones and now that I'm on my 3rd phone but the previous 2 were HTCs which are different from the Optimus V, on virgin mobile.
I did some poking around and looking but haven't found anything, that I know of, that would allow me to do what I VERY MUCH like and prefer to do as opposed to basically starting over on the new phone.
Basically, I'm coming from the HTC HD2 on t mobile with a custom 2.3 rom and have backups of the programs I want to put on the optimus v by using titanium backup, if it makes a difference I also have clockworkmod/TI backup installed on both phones; obviously they wont work on the optimus till its rooted. I know I need to have root ability but don't/won't actually need it permanently b/c other than transferring apps/data over, I want to remove a few of the virgin apps on the phone and be done.
From what I did read, I know I can use SuperOneClick and adb to remove the virgin apps but where does that leave me for the transferring of apps/data?
If you could link files needed along with directions/steps or to a thread that shows how to do this w/ temp root or perm root would be most appreciated.
I need this done asap so i can wipe the hd2 to just a clean android 2.3 and then sell it to a buyer i'm meeting tonight.
Sorry, if this question has been asked but I did look before posting.
Thanks in advance!
See this thread for rooting, & installing custom recovery & custom ROM.

After everything is done, you should make another Nandroid backup in recovery mode, then could try to restore from your Titanium backup, but it's not recommended for even coming from a different ROM, let alone a different device. If you get weird bugs, then restore to the fresh Nandroid backup & and re-install all apps manually.
Thanks for the reply, i was just looking at your post on rooting/recovery/etc. Ok, guess I will have to do that then since I'm in a rush.
And by manually you mean one by one through adb, correct? If not please enlighten me!

ahhh got it lol thanks...well hope that doesnt happen cuz i dont wanna lose my data...thanks again.
And for the record so far the apps are being restored currently and everything seems to be working fine using the BumbleBee rom you linked in your rooting/recovery guide.

I'm fixin to try a Bumblebee + Blue Sphere combo just for laughs and grins. Will let you know how that works out. Might try the picasticks with it as well.
EDIT: Could not get the bluesphere kernel to play with the Bumblebee ROM. I did get the picasticks kernel to play though. It seemed to smooth it out a little more. I went down to 600MHz where I could see how angry birds played. Stock Bumblebee showed a little lag when game returned to the sling shot. With picasticks kernel it smoothed it out a little better. I liked it. This combo will now be my Froyo ROM in recovery backup(I like to have one Froyo ROM and one Gingerbread ROM in my backups). I'll try it with V6 script on option#2
Hello, recently I haven't been satisfied with Cyanogenmod 10.1. It's not that the ROM is a bad ROM it's just that I want a stable experience with my Amaze. So yesterday I tried using the Wind RUU which is only available in a .exe format from what I've seen. Trust me I've been looking heavily for a .zip format but just can't seem to find it. When ever I try to use the .exe it tells me my hboot version is to high so, it makes me think it's only meant for users going from Gingerbread to IceCream Sandwhich. I used to have a back-up of the Stock ROM from Wind but, during a recent issue with my partitioning table on my phone and a failed hard-drive which kept a backup of the backup. I lost the backup (I've had some pretty bad luck haven't I). I'm currently on Speedrom 8 as it seems to be the most stable ROM I can be on at the moment but, I do wish to revert myself to stock without going S-Off, as if I mess up with S-Off I'm without a phone for the next year or so.
If a thread already exists that can help me kindly point me in that direction (via a link would be helpful) or, if someone has a back-up if their Wind Mobile HTC Amaze (stock) that they are willing to send me in a dropbox that would be great. Thank you for your time and I'm sure someone will be able to help me.
Just a thought

But there are plenty of other good roms out there. i had a similar issue with a corrupted nandroid, which i didn't save to my pc (shame on me) but at the end of the day, the phone's not in warranty anyway and we've got devs like chevy still working on roms so why go back to stock? I guess if you freeze bloat and tweak your cpu settings, it would be ok, but I sure do like the customization and freedom of another rom. have you tried anything other than cyanogen? Funny, I've been messing with phones for years and never really liked cyanogen even though it seems to be the standard for custom roms. try viper and kaioken.
Hi,
First of all, I have next to no knowledge of anything related to operating systems and my phone and so on, but I can follow instructions well if explained in simple terms. Thank you in advance.
I bought a HTC Sensation Z710a from Ebay and I didn't realize that it didn't have the "normal" Android on it. I've had it for a while now, over a year and I only recently revisited the subject of my OS when I realized I hadn't been asked to update anything like my previous phone (Nexus from Vodafone). I looked into it a little and it appears I have Android 4.0.3 but "Android Revolution HD 6.6.0 XE" by mike1986?
I would like to know what the best thing to do here is, as I would like to update to the newest available Android out for my phone, and I think I would prefer the "normal" Android to the mike1986 development version (but whatever works I suppose).
I have absolutely no idea how to go about this, so any help would be appreciated. Also, my battery seems to be dying a lot faster these days. Will getting a new one fix the problem entirely, and will updating the OS aid in this at all?
Thank you!
Any help!
Please, I really need assistance with this. Thank you!
I would suggest you to take a look in the section for your device for a custom rom which you think look's fine for you and also I'm quite sure that you have a CWM recovery and unlocked bootloader on your phone so that's not needed to be added.
Well, after that simply download the rom and put it on your sdcard and flash it with CWM, sometimes you might need to update the radio to get everything working. After you have flashed the zip you need to wipe data / factory reset, otherwise you might get a bootloop.
I also suggest you to make a nandroid backup before continuing to flash your device
Okay, thanks. Is it at all possible to get the regular version of Android on it though?
Hi everybody. Like always, when I get into troubles with my phone I search for XDA's help but thing is, this time I didn't found what I needed.
I have HTC Desire Zara UL S-On with unlocked Bootloader and for me it's great phone, kinda like it, but after this mistake I made I'm not that much into it.
OK let me start. I had stock KitKat 4.4.2 with HTC Sense 5.5 on it and I decided to install custom firmware on it, CyganMod 12 which has minor bugs, camera, it doesn't see mine Router even tho everything else in my house connects to it without no problems.
I tried to find stock ROM to flash it but I didn't had success. Tried to find Custom KK rom for it, no luck. I cannot restore because I didn't backup'd previously OS and I'm sure I kinda wiped it from the phone. Is there anyone to help me, to give me step-by-step instructions or something? I would really love to get it back on KitKat like it used to be. Thanks in advance. Alvin.
Fixed it. Found stock recovery, boot and rom so everything is cool now. Thanks for "help"
