I tried rooting my LG Optimus L3 E400, and it was successful, so I tried installing CM9 . . . I followed the instructions and it went well . . . but on the part where this robot thing with the blasting blue background appeared . . . it took a long time for it to boot . So I decided to remove the battery since it won't turn off . Then I when I turned it on, the robot booting logo continued . Then I tried turned on normally, but the graphics had a high saturation and the fonts weren't clear anymore . The Superuser was removed, but the ROM Manager was still there . Then I tried KDZ update thing but I always get this error ' Upgrade error WParam: 100, LParam: 6 ' . It said that it would make my phone boot normally, but it didn't . Now I can't charge, the USB logo won't appear, and ask me which USB connection mode to choose .
Got a possible solution!

Well , i got the sam problem at the moment , and i've been searching the internet for days now to find how to fix it... since i'm not very experienced i can't just go to modifying something in my phone but completely change the rom. With my previous experience with an LG P500 i've found a very good solution using KDZ installer so i've jut googled KDZ LG L3 and apparently it will work on L3 too ... Now i dont know if i'm allowed to post a link , but anyway even with ban it will be worthy if it helps you. The LINK* wow i'm new so i cant post outside links* or if it doesn't work (this is the direct link) : (lg-phones.org/lg-optimus-l3-v10d-firmware-download.html) put www before.
Good Luck! I'm trying this method on my own right now.

Is it your USB cable that's broken? Can your computer still detect the phone? And most importantly can you still turn the phone on?

No, my friend had an LG Optimus L5 . . . she borrowed my charger yesterday and it charged . . . My phone can't connect to the computer . . . and yes It can turn on . . . but the LG start up logo is broken . . . The part where there's a pink and violet wave . . . it's like a broken television signal .
Unless you can connect your phone to the computer, it'll be really tough to fix... Okay, are you able to launch these things: 1. Emergency Mode: Make sure phone is off. Hold Volume up + down + power button. You should get a yellow screen with the words emergency mode on it.
2. Can you still run Clockworkmod recovery?
3. Try a factory reset. Volume up + Home button + Power button.
This ones tricky if you have CWM installed. Hold down the three buttons until the vibration comes along and quickly let go. It might take a few tries.

If you can still make it into emergency mode and CWM, that's good. Okay, first, go into CWM and WIPE EVERYTHING. Data, cache, dalvik cache. Wipe them all. Then, put your phone into emergency mode. Try to connect your phone to your computer and try to use the Kdz flasher again. IF this fails then download this:
http://www.shabbypenguin.com/OUDstuff/LG-E400/stockrom+.zip
And flash it in CWM. It's probably in a different country then yours but it's better than nothing.

That one is kinda tough. Unless you know how to use ADB there's not really a way to get it on to your phone. Its like the CM9 installation. Just install exactly the same way as you did for CM9. Try fixing your phone with kdz flasher first. Don't forget to put in 3QCT and Emergency modes first.

Actually, are you using the CM9 rom or did you restore a backup? Also, try mounting your phone in CWM, connect your phone to computer and see if your computer picks up anything. What does it say when you launch software update anyway?

Yes, and I dunno how to mount CWM . . . and It says the same error . . . Param: 6 . . .
In CWM, there is a menu named mounts and storage. In there will be a sub menu called mount USB storage. Go into it. You'll see the only option in there is BACK. At this point, connect phone to computer. See if you have connection. I have to ask, do you know how to use KDZ flasher. Please tell me step by step as to what you did.
Hi!
My LG L3 E400 is bricked. When i try to turn it on,it vibrates and the LG logo appears and thats it. Hard reset, recovery mode or anything else is not possible to do. The only thing i can do is emergency mode. I was trying with software update kdz with stock .kdz files (V10G_00.kdz and V10A_00.kdz) but i got an error (Wparam 100 Lparam 2) Same thing on two different computers (Xp and 7,drivers installed...).
Is there any other way to make him alive?

Hello,
- i'm the proud owner of an LG P500, i mannaged to "kill" it alot of times, one time i bricked it so bad the power button was useless. I'm going to tell you how i always manneged to fix it.
1. - install the USB DRIVERS for LG P500 Download LINK
2. - extract the KDZ archive , install msxml.msi, Download LINK, Download Froyo 2.2.2. v10E.kdz after that open >> KDZ_FW_UPD.exe, select type 3GQCT and mode DIAG (select this only if your phone starts when you connect the USB and the battery charging logo apears) if the phone starts in Emergency Mode or dosen't start at all >> remove battery and while holding the BACK and volume UP buttons connect the USB, the phone should start in Emergency Mode, after that select in KDZ, MODE > EMERGENCY, select file > V10E_00.kdz and press the "Launch software update" .
- wait for KDZ to do it's job ( until it says FINISHED) after it is finished it will reset the phone (alot of times the phone wolden't start after reset and i had to start it manualy @power button) an LG logo should apear , then an Android logo, wait about 5 - 10 min (the phone should start and you will have froyo 2.2.2. working), but if the Android LOGO stops or lags for 2,3 seconds then you must remove battery , put it back , and power on the phone. if it dose the same thing , then you must reflash your phone. Usualy it works with the battery on and simply flashing under DIAG mode.
- after reflashing if you have the same problem , you must remove battery and try installing it DIAG mode. if it still dosen't work enter emergency mode ( UP + BACK + connect USB (or press the power button)) and reflash using KDZ , MODE >>> EMERGENCY.
- when phone is connected go to COMPUTER > PROPERTIES > DEVICE MANAGER > MODEMS > and disable LGE Modem.. (some say it helps i diden't saw any difference.)
- as i was saying i killed my phone alot of times, KDZ always helped me bring it back to life , be patient.. and if you get alot of errors and flash meny times the phone gets hot , leave it to cool for a while and then try again.
be patient !! hope this will help you ..

Hello
I have the next issue
I have a Samsung Galaxy Europa GT-I5500
And it bricked when I closed odin 4.36 after, when the phone was in downloading mode due that there was no completion. I wanted to install a newer version of the clockwork (mod) recovery.
I installed an old version but was unable to install the CyanogenMod (hte one from psyke83) that I wanted. And after I wanted to try a newer version of the clockwork (mod).
And now the phone is with the PC---to Phone icon brick mode.
I tried the volume down + main button + power off and isn't working
Also i tried to run the one click unbrick and isn't able to connect to the phone. Seems that the phone doesn't reach the computer
I tried an usb list (lsusb) in the ubuntu and does appear if i connect it.
I tried both in windows 7 and ubuntu
Do you think is a softbrick? Any clues? recomendations or questions for more details
did you find any solution..
i have no warranty since it as directly imported..i have the same problem ..
i was trying to backup my rom when it bricked.. (using rom manager) .... i tried volume down + home + power button (disconnect button) but nothings showed up.

I had a problem with the buttons on the phone the volume down wasn't working.
What do you mean by home button the one with the home icon or the main one with the metal borders because is that button the one that you need to use.
I also tried the resitor of 301kohms between the pins 4 and 5 didn't work.
Now i have the 2.3.7 working stable at the moment
try that combination of buttons if not tell me
I am pretty sure there is nothing you can do about it, if it is completely bricked.
And the phone won't turn on, in any case what so ever?

Depends if it is hard bricked or soft bricked. If the screens turns on and appears the PC---/!\ --- phone. The he can try to use the three key combination or the usb homemade jig. Otherwise he can try to find someone with the JTAG
search in google JTAG galaxy for more info.
sounds like a hard brick. People claim that taking the battery and sim out of the phone for 30 mins (min) and then putting back in and booting to download mode sometimes works
You could try that
MY BROTHER IS IN THE WAY YOU DOWNLOAD but equally can not install any OTHER ONE IS A STRONG BRICK
On galaxy s this also happens from time to time, even i had it once. Try if Odin possibly connects anyway and flash again, if not, remove your battery leave it out for 60 seconds and then try if you can get to download mode again. You definitely have not hardbricked your device...

Did you already try: vol up, menu, power on (by this order, holding them all together in the end) ???
(It might be that for your device you should press and hold: vol down, home button, power)
Did you try taking out the battery (for 10 - 15 secs) and trying the above combination again???
Also you might find this page of interest for your case: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1734997. Credits to @neerajganga

Afternoon guys, so today, I finally found my phone. I moved out this previous weekend and I left it at my old place, my friends figured it'd be hilarious to post something on Facebook or send people texts from my phone, but locked themselves out, and then apparently attempted to restart in recovery mode. Now it's stuck on the LG logo, it's not seen by my computer by LG's software, or KDZ, and I don't want to take it back to the shop and get it replaced because it has all of my stuff on it (And it was rooted with Cyanogenmod installed) Anyone have any other suggestions? Do you think the store will find out or even care if I had Cyanogen installed?
Cheers, Chris.
Also, I apologize in advance if this thread is in the wrong place.
1.does it boot in recovery or not. If it does there is no problem
2.Have you tried wiping dalvik cache and data.
3.you can flash another rom it boots in recovery
Attempt Further
Try all SWISS ARMY methods ;-)
Can you get into RECOVERY???
If so try wiping CACHE,DALVIK,BAT STATS then reboot..else
You can use option MOUNT USB STORAGE(when connected to pc)
and COPY files from sd to pc.
After that Flash a new ROM after a HARD RESET

No, doesn't boot at all, stuck on the LG logo.
I haven't wiped any caches, I don't have a clue how.
I can get it into Emergency Mode, but KDZ isn't finding the phone, with the modem disabled. The LG software wont update, says there's a problem with the connection between the phone and the computer (My guess would be that it doesn't like Emergency Mode). Does it want a recovery image to be on the SD card? It'd be my first point of call, but I don't have an SD card reader on hand, but if that's all it wants, I could probably find one around.
I usually work with computers, not phones, and to my understanding, this could all be resolved by resetting the bios/removing the CMOS battery for 5 minutes, is there a way to do this on my phone?
do you have lg united drivers because kdz updater picks up the phone even while booting and also if phone is off .

So Backup all data in SD then PERFORM Hard Reset by:
Pressing Home+Vol.Down+Power
(CAUTION:HARD RESET DELETE ALL USER DATA

One thing you can always do is brick your phone and take it to lg ppl and say i was playing a game suddenly my phone switched off do this only if in warranty!
or
DO NOT PLUG IN YOUR PHONE UNTIL STEP 3!
1. Went to system restore in windows(you'll find it under Backup and Restore in the Control Panel) and restore your computer to a state before installing any drivers for your phone.
2. After everything had completed, installed LG Mobile update. There is an option to install general USB drivers for your phone, DO NOT do it! Go to Customer Support > Application, Manual & USB driver download. Input your IMEI number from behind the battery in the back of your phone(or just select the "Read your phone" option if you can get it to read your phone). It will search and return the correct drivers for your exact phone. Download and install your USB drivers.
3. Keep your phone disconnected from your PC, and start up LG mobile update again. Connect your phone, LG mobile update should verify the connection by trying to connect to your phone, checking software versions, etc. It will connect even if you are stuck at the LG screen.
4. If everything checks out run KDZ updater and flash your phone back to original specs.
try this this uses lg updater instead of kdz updater
have you flashed a .32 kernel on .35 rom or vice versa?
Press thanx if i helped you..

3 questions:
1. I guess it should work on all L7 II series, right? I'm asking this as I have the P714 device.
2. Please elaborate on step 6, not sure I understand it.
3. Any risk to brick the phone? If so, what's the way to recover?
Cheers,
D.
Works on my rooted LG P713 L7 II.

Big cheers!

I have a doubt:
you say that the phone will restart on recovery mode ¿ will this happens every time I boot the phone or only through this program?
I'm willing to install it on a p712

Only once, after applying these steps.
another doubt:
¿is there anything you can flash on the L7 II, or what's the purpose of using cwm at this point?
has anyone tried backup and restore, wiping battery stats? which other features that can be used at this stage are provided? p715/v10i/india/vroot1.7.6
Also works on P710 (L7 2). Didn't run the script pushed APPSSBL.bin and recovery on sd then put them in dev/block/. Works good i can make backup, restore and flash but there is a problem. If i leave the phone off for some hours when i start it it will go into a bootloop. To stop this I need to take battery out and open the phone using external charger.

To stop this (bootloop) you need to take battery out, and then put battery back, connect external charger, and press power button... Right?

No to stop the bootloop i do this. Plug out battery for 1 minute. Start the phone with charger only. If it doesn't work wait until a yellow triangle and battery comes then push battery in and open phone. But i flashed the appssbl again using adb from that rar and i didn't get bootloop.

Hello Riskey,
Unfortunately I did.. And the method mention below by Christi also did NOT work. Whenever I plug the charger to the phone, it shows LG symbol and goes to CWM recovery.. However I flashed stock Rom on my P715 and its fine now. The problem I think qas an update.. The phone took an update from LG which said 1 app to be updated.. And when I restarted the phone this isaue occurred.. Maybe this will help you?!

Sorry man maybe it is different problem because I am running it on a p710 with latest firmware the 10j one. Anyway you can always recover bootlop with Kdz flasher. For those that don't know how. Pull battery out. Wait 1 minute or so then press Volume-Down and hold it while you insert your usb. There will be a yellow screen (Emergency Mode). Be sure to have all drivers download the firmware for your phone, run Kdz Flasher Type: 3GQCT - Phone Mode: Emergency and run start. You will recover the bootloops.
OK, so I tried to see if this fixed the bootloop problem (do I have a death wish or what?). With the previous version of CWM, I booted to recovery mode from power down - got the bootloop (recovered with battery out and charger plugged + home).
Now, flashed the new image. Succesfully got to CWM via reset to recovery from power menu. However, when trying to get to CWM via button combination (power, vol up & down, home), I never get to CWM but only to regular boot sequence. Tried maybe ten times, always the same. Anyone can explain?

Hi ,i have the same model, does this recovery works fine? i mean ,does it have bootloops problems? and to answer your quesrion, try using this combination:
Power button + up volume + button home
after the vivration just release the power button and keep pressing the other 2 until you reach the recovery screen.
Tell me if its works, and also if the recovery is stable for the p714,thanks

Thanks mate. :good: This combination brought me to the recovery menu. Don't know why I didn't think about it - was the same with the Samsung device I previously had.
And I can confirm that this fixes the bootloop issue. We have CWM for this device.
Hi everyone ! I appreciate this forum very much since we do help each other here. So thanks in advance !
I've recently got a Samsung GS7 which was a carrier operator based system (Orange France) and recently, it gave me a bootloader error. I did reflash the bootloader with a newer version and also the system (Android 7.0 FTM) via Odin, all was working perfectly till I downloaded Antutu and tried the benchmarking, when the system went to the CPU multithread, the phone did reboot and when it started, I uninstalled that application to avoid problems. Then, the phone didn't want to reboot afterwhile.
I'm blocked with a black screen and all keys combination doesn't work.
I really need help. It's a G930F. If you need any information; just ask.
Hi , did you flashed 4 files on Odin ? and Did you tried to flash with Samsung Smart Swich ?

Yes, I did flash all 4 files (BL, CSC, AP and something else as described in odin).
I did try the Smart Switch recuperation feature but it didn't gave me any option, then after flashing with Odin, I did retry once the phone has completed his turn on ignition, it just gave me a feature to upgrade the phone.
The Emergency Software Recovery and Initialization you need manualy to do like in that video , first you need to put your phone in download mode .
Because you say that screen is black hold just power button for about 10 second to make sure your device is off , then Hold vol - Home and Power to enter in Download mode for bout 7 second and then release power button , wait just litle and then press vol + like for odin flash and then try The Emergency Software Recovery and Initialization. If it Doesn't work try with old version of firmware to flash , if you are able after that to enter in to recovery Wipe Cache Partition and Reboot your phone.

The Emergency Software Recovery has been removed from Smart Switch. Sorry to say that but I can't access it.
Also, I can't enter the download mode or the recovery mode. I'll wait until the battery goes empty, and then, will try to charge it to see if it changes anything.

You can try that , but try this , press and hold just power button and plug USB on PC and your phone to see if is your device recognized as Exynos 7422 for example if it is then your Bootloader is dead .

Strange , maybe your battery is dead or you have phone with hardware issue : / . Try to put him in charger for about 3 hours .

I think it may be a software issue, the battery was working fine three days ago, I was working with the phone for about 5 - 6 hours without charging, it wasn't a battery problem.
Tomorrow, if letting my phone discharge and then charge doesn't work, I'll put it in charge for 3 hours.
Thanks !

The phone worked after letting all the juice go empty and recharge it for a couple of hours. It is working now perfectly.
Thanks

It just did it again, I was downloading a file and then, the phone did make like a screen cracked and it went off another time.
Is it a software issue or a hardware issue ?
I'm not sure first what file you was downloading and how you mean like screen cracked ? Colors or what ? ( Try to do Factory Reset and do Wipe Cache Partition if the problem comes again probably you have device with hardware issue .
Here is the screenshot of my software system infos.
Also, I get a small line with grey pixels like the old TVs
