Help! - Nexus 10 General

So this just happened to my nexus 10.
I have no idea what it is. And it isn't going away. It says to not turn it off or else I would've already tried to reboot. Help please! Thanks in advance.
My Nexus 10 is better than your tablet. Hah.

Also I am not rooted. Stock everything.
Here is a better photo of it.

I thought maybe it was a navigable recovery... So i accidentally pressed the power button. Won't boot now. Guess I'll be sending back to Google...

It looks like the bootloader, which is accessed by holding the volume buttons and power on boot. See the arrow that says Start pointing to the power button...you press it and it boots. It should not have bricked just by exiting it should reboot.

Idk what's up with mine then... It's won't boot. Put on the charger for a bit and still nothing.
Edit: I just held down volume and power for about 15 sec and it vibrated and rebooted! Problem solved although I wish I knew what the problem was.

There was no "real" problem, you somehow just managed to enter download mode by (accidentally?) pressing the power and volume down buttons at the same time while the device was powered off. If it happens again, don't panic, just press and hold the power button until you see the Google logo.

[Q] I think it's bricked, can someone help?

So my Prime is completely stock from an OS standpoint. Not rooted, just a handful of apps. I got the JB firmware notification this morning and I went ahead and kicked it off. Things seemed fine and the android with the blue progress bar popped up after a reboot. I left it alone and when I came back it was sitting on the ASUS boot screen. It has been on that boot screen ever since. I let it sit that way for over an hour and finally tried to power it off. I can power it off but it automatically tries to restart and gets stuck on the ASUS screen again. Tried holding the volume button down during power cycle and no luck. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Try the following and see if it helps.
Hold volume down and power button and when the text appears in top left just wait 5 seconds. When the icons appear on your screen use volume down to go to the wipe icon then press volume up.
Not guaranteeing this will work but it has for others.
If still broken come back and post.
I have a unlocked TF201 and managed to install cyanogen mod 10 on it. Then one fine day, it encountered the "turning on wifi" error, and I tried to be clever and did a format /data on CWM.
Now I have a TF201 which can enter CWM (but can't install anything because it can't read SD card) and can get into Fastboot (since it's unlocked), but can't seem to be detected when i run fastboot from my win-pc.
Can anyone help? I tried installing various of the ADB fastboot drivers, in particular the universal naked driver from another thread, but still can't seem to work!
Can help? Pls?

adb and fastboot are different things.
adb you will be able to use while in CWM and fastboot you can use while in fastboot.
You need to be able to push a rom onto your device thru adb while in cwm.
There could be a few things wrong. It could be a faulty cable or it could be that your usb ports on the computer don't like it.
Have you tried using usb ports on the back of your computer and seeing if anything shows up in device manager when you are in cwm?
If not can you try it on another computers usb ports and see if anything shows up in device manager when you are in cwm?
Please come back with a bit more information when you have tried this. Once you can see the device in device manager you should be able to install the naked drivers and I can help you from there.
edit.. can you please also tell me what happens when you just try to let it boot.. where does it get stuck, what is on the screen?

I also have this exact same problem. For mine, I can't get it to show the text or get to this menu (I've definitely gotten there before this, though).

Thanks for the response. vol down and power don't do me any good. It won't let me into the stock recovery mode. I've been down that road before and entered it successfully so I'm pretty certain I'm doing it right. It just loops me back to the ASUS screen.
Thanks again.

The only way to do it is to have it powered off. Then hold the volume down button first and while holding it start holding power button also.. Then don't let go of both buttons until it appears.
If that don't work I'm not sure what you have done sorry mate.

I guess I'm looking at an RMA then because it is powered off when I do the vol down + power. Still only get the splash screen. I wouldn't be upset if I was trying to load a custom ROM or something but all I did was let the blasted thing try to install the OTA. Oh well, thanks again for your time.

After communicating the issue to support, they said to do an RMA. This is my second RMA for this device, which is pretty annoying.

I think there must be some serious issues with TF201 and JB. I have got into exactly the same position by trying to use Protato's method to update to WW JB - and so have at least 3 others. But if the genuine update is doing this too!!
I'm going to request RMA. My tablet has gone to hell and this is just the seal of approval. Have a feeling I'm Infinity bound now. Good luck to all.
I am definitely going to have to RMA at this point. 3rd for me. Mine started off with the wonderful Serial Number unknown and was then suffering from pretty bad wifi/bluetooth fallout. ASUS has made good by me on both cases so far and I felt pretty good about my Prime but I must say I'm a bit disappointed that I need a 3rd RMA. I'll be happy overall if they get it back to me in good working order in a timely fashion.

Need help! Emergency! Think my phone might have taken a dump

Need some serious assistance. Was playing with my dogs just a bit ago and decided to record it. So I go to the camera and switch to camcorder and the screen just turns green and the flash comes on and basically it's stuck. Ok so I go to settings and force stop the camera. Try to start it up and it just says unable to start camera. Ok so I guess I'll just restart the phone. Go to restart get to the white htc screen and the flash is still on. hangs there for quite awhile so I start hitting buttons. Screen goes black so I hold the power button again. Capacitative lights just flash. So now the phone won't power on no matter what I do the capacitive lights just flash at me. Any suggestions?
try holding power for like twenty seconds to reboot it.. it's like pulling the battery out. The capacitive light flash apparently means it's signaling to you that it's about to do a full reset.

Will give it a shot. My first phone with non removable battery.
Seems to have worked thanks a ton. Kinda worries me that the camcorder freaked it out like that though.

Sorry to hear this, try this. Plug in the charger, hold the power button. Release power button, hold it down again all with the charger in. I had some sort of soft brick messing with custom roms. It would not power on till i tried with the charger plug connected. I was spooked and thought it bricked.
Let me know how you get on. If that fails, RMA time

Vol Down + Power not doing anything.

Hi!
I am rooted, and was running Android Revolution HD 13.
Tried to install KitKat 4.4 and the status was aborted. I saved a back up in recovery. I entered a boot loop once I restarted the phone. I thought, "No problem! I'll just get into my recovery!" But every time I hold the Vol Down + Power button, nothing happens. It simply shows, "HTC: Quietly Brilliant" and the developer disclaimer at the bottom. Any ideas?

When your at the HTC boot screen hold the power button and both volume buttons.... You'll see your button lights flash like 10-15 times and then it will force shut down your phone. Once it's completely off try booting into recovery again.

try holding it under a bright light ..the proximity sensor can keep the phone from shutting down if the room is not well lite

So are you thinking theirs some other miracle answer to your question ?
it's a fact that holding down the power button plus vol down till you see the blinking lights (around 10 seconds)
then let off the volume it will shut off, just keep trying.

I think it may be the vol down button to be honest. It is odd. I have never experienced an issue like this before.

Vol Up and Power for Battery Pull on One Max

I googled and only found info that said to hold the power button for 10 seconds to initiate battery pull simulation.
However after getting stuck on the boot logo, that didn't work.
I was playing around and discovered its volume up and power for 10 seconds for the One Max.
Hope this helps someone.

its a well known fact that all HTC's with embedded battery, holding power and volume up simulates a battery pull.

I'm going to assume you didn't intend to be as snobby as just appeared to be. It isn't well known to new HTC users, which is why its posted in the help section.
If you Google the issue or search here, you only find info about using just power button for 10 seconds. But that only works if the OS is fully booted. However, that does not apply when you're stuck at the boot logo as I was.
You must use VOL UP and POWER.

It should apply at the boot logo. Well at least it does for me. You should also notice the feedback buttons bottom blinking a few times too. After 10-15seconds of holding down. Immediately switch to Power + Volume Down.
When booting custom kernels and roms that have errors. I don't get farther than that. So I know for sure it works on that screen.

TAB S3 WiFi will not start anymore

I have a new app installed, from the App Store, and have started this. After I wanted to enter my name the app hung up and since then the tab is dead. It can not be started anymore.
Home Button + Volume up + power button does not work either.
Does anyone have another tip? I've never had anything like that and it's not the first device in my hands.
It is not rooted. Is the normal software from Samsung on it.
I had it on my tab pro 12.2 and it turned out my micro-SD card had gone bad. Please remove it if you have one in your tab S3 and restart it.

Try power button + volume up + volume down at same time? Are you sure the battery is charged? Try a different charger and cable.
The tablet hung on the original charger half the night and the other half on a Sony charger. Each time a different cable is used. Unfortunately it stays dark on the tablet. Power button + volume up + volume down did not help.
How dead is it? I mean, is it turning on?
(the lack of a notification light on this tablet annoys me, as I think it would help in such a situation!)
I had something similar when I was rooting it..
There should at least be a factory reset layer. I got to it with volume up and home - no power button required. I believe I had to hold them for a long time, ten seconds or so. And if it shows life you then hold the power button. Apologies if that's what you tried, but you don't hold all three buttons at once is all!
I am inclined to believe if this doesn't work your tablet might not actually have any power. Which could imply, say, a battery issue.
It could be the other way around, oddly. The tablet is on, but the screen has hung with no display. Another combination to try is power and volume down.
The tablet is absolutely dead. No matter what combination of buttons. And no it was not rooted or something like that. Since I still have warranty, it arrived this morning in the repair workshop.
The tablet has now been repaired and replaced the motherboard.
