Hello Developers,
as I'm a huge Fan of all your work I'd first of all thank you for enriching my digital life so much with your hard work.
Now to the subject: I can't understand that HTC resigned in Sense 4+ from the feature of the Quick Settings

A college of mine has the One X and another one has the One S and they are all the time making fun of me for missing that feature.
Do you think it will be possible in the near future to add this feature or import it from an One x rom or make a Sense 4 rom (without +).
Thank you in advance for your replies.
+1
how about just adding quick settings to the notification pulldown? i didn't take a too sharp look at the roms availlable, so i don't know if any other but cyanogenmod does have this feature yet. but you could on any rom always install the app widgetsoid and add the quick settings panel yourself.
here's a link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jim2
it's free, customizable and easy to set up. just take a look at the screenshots and you know what i mean
btw: i guess that they dumped these settings because they will (hopefully soon) give us android 4.2 for our one x+ which will already feature a quick settings tab in the notification pulldown. i think it wouldn't make any sense ( pun-alert) to build in a feature which will surely be dumped on the next major os upgrade which is sure to be delivered in near future.

Hey,
i have tried several of these notification apps, but it' snot the same... Long press doesn't bring you directly to the settings, no direct brigness adjustment... etc.
I\m just a little dissapointed as i had been faithfull to HTC now with the third android (Desire - Sensation - One X+) and i never experienced a fall back in the development Quick settings had been already developed by Leedroid at Froyo times and even Miui is famous for this feature. Gues i just bought a too new phone that doesn't yet have real modified rom's available.
Additional: in the wigdet add that you recommend the flashlight doesn't work
l Use notification toggles

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone could help me get the 3d flip animation to work on my Hero clocks. I have checked out every preview on youtube and seems like Hero does have the feature especially when you unlock the screen.
My device does not do that for some reason and I've tried to switch from one rom to another and still can't get it to work.
I would appreciate if someone could enlighten me as I really love this phone and have been showing it off infront of my iPhone owning friends
Thanks to all in advance
ciao
its been removed on the rom update cuz it takes up too much resources

IMHO, it never did take up too many resources, or was a specific performance issue. It was just that some people saw it as one.
It was just that the clock widget didn't update when the phone was sleeping or otherwise occupied. It *still* doesn't either - I often wake my phone from sleeping and see my clock is some hours in the past until it changes to a new time. It just does switches "instantly", rather than running an animation now.
Regards,
Dave
Ok, so if I wanna see it again I have to roll back to the initial ROM and suffer with the lagginess. No good news
Thank you guys for your feed back.

Animating Flip Clock Widget
I have a clock widget with a real animating flip, which does not require sense. Check my thread.

Hey everyone, kinda new here (although not so much to the world of smartphones and computers and all that jazz) and I'm looking for an app to provide a certain function.
I'll explain in words real quick what I'm looking for, and I posted some pics to make it easier.
I'd like an app that adds a softkey to the status bar, much like the home/back/menu buttons that I have in CM7 in the status bar (see img 1, and how it changes in img 2). I'd like to be able to click that soft button, and have a popup of some user-defined apps. I know that I can put icons on the home screen and just push the home button, but I really think this would be a cool app and would appreciate it if anyone could point me in the direction of an app like it or could make one (I do some minor java programming on BlackBerry, but nothing this complex and with my baby and internship I don't have time to figure out how to make this).
I'd definitely be willing to pay for this, so if any devs read this I'm not just looking for a freebee. Althoug, of course, free is always nice
Either way, loving the XDA forums, and need to get my post count up there so I can post in the technical threads lol.

What I imagine the softkey might look like once it's added:
One way the app popup might look:
I don;t care about the look that I made in those images as I do about the general idea.
Thanks in advance
Shane
i dont think thats probable from what i know about the android os.
Smart bar allows you to set 'favorite apps'. Good luck!
PS On appbrain it says that the latest version does not work well on froyo; I don't know about gingerbread (I have not used smart bar for a long time).
Thanks case-sensitive!
That's not exactly what I was looking for, but its good enough and will certainly do the trick

Hey all, I know some of you are like me and hate the TW buttons in the status bar so I threw together a KME version of SystemUI.apk Just copy the new one into system/app Make sure you backup the original in case. I am running it fine on the Starburst rom.

This is very good that you created tthis, many thanks. But this could definitely use some screenshots before someone commits to installing this.
Good point. That was a late night blurry eyed post, I'll add a screenie in a bit when I get back to my tablet.

there are a few of these out there already. but good one on contributing bro. i loike seeing more people create things around here.
I didn't realize there was an AOSP on available for the KME update, all of the ones I tried just made the whole bar disappear.

yep. ive made a few different variations, doc has, and boosted. now you. we should all start an aospbar mod crew.

Cool! Yeah I want to get the clock looking AOSP as well. Really my main goal is to hack the MiniApp framework to start building our own miniapps, I'd love to have a GTalk miniapp so I can send quick messages without closing out a video.
I've started work on it, but working part time and grad school part time is going to keep that project at low priority.

yeah i know how that goes man. 2 jobs, finishing my degree, and a 5 year old daughter prevents me from spending too much time with this stuff too. mini-tray is on my list of things to kill.
like AOSP
Hello!
I am running an overcome rom.
How can i remove light line above the system bar?
And how can i remove screenshot and miniapps buttons? I want to make AOSP like UX.
Thanks in advance.
In CM 12.1, the app drawer was recently changed to a vertical design by default. I know that some users prefer the old one, so this is a poll to see what the majority of you would prefer as the default. If the poll shows that there's a clear favor for the old material design, I can change it to the default in future builds. Below are screenshots of each one.
Material:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
CM:
Thanks to all that voted. It was a clear winner for material, so next nightly will have that as the default.
Those that prefer the new design, can switch it on in settings.
sorry to bother but
i dont visit xda daily so i missed the poll.
my vote goes for CM.
at least a productive appdrawer layout. imho.
is a six days lasting poll being considered a representive one?
30votes vs. over 700views ...
any chance to reopen it and let it open to see how it evolves.
there is maybe litte hope that usability catches up to 'i look nice like apple'
or maybe passes to lead the poll
CM for sure.
Faster, better, easier to spot all apps fast.
im on the unofficial nightlies for the i9192 by f4k.
Where in settings in this option? i cant find it. or is it an official thing for the i9190/5/5l devices?
Thanks!

But i have downloaded the Trebuchet 6.0.1.3 UNIVERSAL.apk
and it works on my installed CM13 ROM's.
Update:
Oops, it is Trebuchet 6.0.1.5 UNIVERSAL.apk
Material looks so good without the White background
Hey guys,
I'm currently using the CM 13 ROM, which is based on Android MM as you probably know.
The Notication Panel looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I really would like to change the Notification Panel so it looks like this:
Just as a side info: I achieved the look of the panel shown in the second picture with the app "material status bar notific", but i really dislike this app and it doesn't work to well.
So is there any way to make my Notification Panel as shown in the first screenshot to look like the Notification Panel in the second screenshot?
I would appreciate your help, thanks alot.

Installing Android 7 (CM14) would give you a similar look (except for the color).
Or you can get the same thing I said above, on android 6, with Xposed and the N-ify module (except for the color).
On android 6 you might be able to use a theme to get the desired colors, though I don't know if themes play well with N-ify.

That isn't possible. Only Samsung ROMs have that as far as I know.
Maybe Google will implement something similar in a future android version. But for now, you have to settle for this.
