mine was fine, only got one now, what swappable are you trying to use?
I've got sky sports and navigon working on mine but are basically rubbish, good idea badly implemented.
I wanted deezer and tv...
I get absolutely nothing and the wife gets offered only Russell Grant's astrology!

Make sure you wait till after your next bill date if you upgraded, that's when the swappable kick in. I'm using gocommute and deezer fine on my one x+

I upgraded a month ago, start of first full month was 24th Dec. I guess I'll be waiting til end of Jan then!!!

did you manage to get them working then? its just i joined orange at the end of november and i cant get anything but russel bloody grant either
i did a little hack to make them think i was using an sII and got games to work but out of the 4 i grabbed only 1 worked, probably the sII being the issue
ive also just swapped out for deezer which works fine now, once you get the little app installed its great but it took some time to be able to just choose the damned thing
whether i use the orange app or through a web link i only get 'sorry your phone is not compatible' message when i try to use sky sports, frustrating really, although on a plus note sky go now works

Have switched to The Times and Deezer which I have to say is now my best app, can download all my favourite music to my phone for playing off line and costs nothing!

So my HTC one came in today at 8am from FedEx. I preordered the first day I was allowed and choose overnight shipping. I did not get a dev version or sim unlocked. Did anyone else's come in? And do you think its okay if I activate it since its not the 19th yet?

Why would there be a problem to activate it? It will only start you're 14 day return policy.
I'm not an addict I just flash a lot.
Wow. I actually ordered my 64gb edition as an upgrade don't AT&T yesterday and hoping that it'll be here by Friday. Should be fine with the 2 day shipping. Didn't think they started sending them till today. Awesome that you got yours.

Only calculator flashlight and sound recorder I believe. I did it before turning it on.

I fastboot flashed the international one TWRP recovery and then used it to flash Chainfires SuperSU via zip.
It can all be found under the HTC One forum. Although everything is working for me, keep in mind they are seperate devices and I am not responsible for any damage caused by flashing stuff for the international variant.

Also remember to turn off quick boot under setting/power. With quick boot on it doesn't go into bootloader or recovery.

Just curious if you are gonna keep your device or not. I personally have been though at least 5 HTC one's all with dead pixels. Don't know if I should just go with a nexus device instead of trying to get the perfect HTC one.

You will find a perfect one. Go to a store, test them before you leave. Or just send it in to HTC they said the would fix them.

Just say you have been through *blank* amount of units and they all have dead pixels and you want to get this phone but don't dont ant it to have dead pixels. I don't see them giving you a hard time. Or if they give you a hard time just get it and test it there and turn around and get them to change it.

Well I returned my silver one and got a black one because I know they arrived today. Everything looks good though ran pixel test really quick and didn't notice anything. I didn't sit there trying to look for one though, maybe I'll just leave it at that.

It's my experience with AT&T that you don't even get to touch the device until you swipe your card, but could be different depending on where you live

Hi,
I was just wondering are people still receiving units with hardware defects or are people just trolling and putting the HTC one down. Its been about a month since release date, it should be reasonable to assume that all the defects in the manufacturing process is gone.

I pre ordered mine from at&t and got it the day before release, it's also in perfect shape
I got mine a week ago, and it does have a few gaps here and there but I dont care enough to do anything about it lol
Picking mine up very soon, hopefully I get a flawless device.

Send them a support message. Mine said the same for 4 weeks so I did. I got a response 4 hours later telling me they had received my device in the condition I stated and that my card would arrive to me within 3 weeks. They said they are having trouble updating the status page for some orders.

There was. You had to pre-sign up. It's now closed. HTC was offering a $100 Visa card (or more if your phone was worth more) if you bought a One and sent them (most) any old smartphone and proof of purchase.

Yeah me too, I have several phones lying around the house. I sold my nexus 4 for 200 (it was more like a gift, guy just had a baby girl and broke his phone off a motorcycle) I figured I might as well get a rebate with some old phone I barely remembered I had.

Got mine in the mail today! My online status says the same, waiting for phone. I sent my phone in a couple days after the phone was released. I don't remember the date
So there is hope! I am glad it seem to be just a system update problem. Maybe a majority of people will get their cards in the next two weeks.

2) need to be able to call and not get "emergency only" when I'm standing underneath a tower (Seriously the Nexus 5 has a bad radio)

Weird.
I have a Nexus 5, HTC One and Note 3.
I have no signal issues with my Nexus 5 and the audio is comparable with the note 3.
Im spoiled by the front facing speakers of the HTC One.
Im getting my One tomorrow (according to ups)... im excited. I have not had an HTC since my HTC One S from two years ago, loved the phone but haven't had a chance to buy the One yet (til now).... The one thing i disliked about the OneS process was having to flash the kernel through adb becuase of s-on. I think the one is similar...

Check out the international forum (htc one forum) there is far more activity there. And I don't recall rooting breaking the camera or beats but it certainly doesn't break them now.

Nice...just checked my ups tracking and its here tomorrow morning will root it and s-off it and start deving roms for it ...I was on sprint for a long time but now time to give it a go on the gsm side and make some roms for this phone

I have grandfathered jump and I still haven't jumped, the only thing the HTC M7 is missing is the Moto X's always listening (you could with gel launcher but since your hardware doesn't have a low power core, there goes your battery life) and the tap to wake of the LG G2 and G3. You can also install a kernel or the knockr app but they both drain battery as it wasn't built into the hardware. The M9 would be great if it was in the format of the M7 but with a real wrap around screen so there are no side bezels seen from the front. Lastly, OIS camera of at least 12mp and good for night shooting,
