Just a quick question here I noticed that my home and menu buttons aren't working but my back and search buttons do is there a reason for this, a bug maybe?
Rather than start a thread try the Q&A for the rom found here:

There's a delay when pressing the home button. So when i press the home button it takes like 2 seconds to go the home page.
Its really annoying

Any apps that does that...
Ex... I hold down the search button and it launches Google voice search...
But I want to hold down the back button and it launches S Voice, how do I set that up?
Cyanogen mod 7 ROMs have that feature

I would like to remap the hardware Search button to Recent Apps, but the system/usr/217 method isn't working, nor is it in the system settings. Anyone able to get this to work? I'm on PA 2.56. Thanks!

I am aware of how to disable to function of the soft keys, but when disabled they remain lit. Does anyone know of a way to disable the back light for the back, home, and recent app buttons?
Running Jellybam 4.1.0
Thanks in advance

I just flashed AOKP, but the only way I can find a menu button is to enable the NavBar. Is there a way to make the recent apps short press be the menu button and make recent apps long press?

You need to edit the buttons in system/user/keylayout.
That pathway is not even close to what u need but if you search the thread you'll find the correct path

Click to collapse
System/usr/keylayout/synaptics-rmi-touchscreen.kl
Edit were it says APP-SWITCH to MENU save an reboot but you will lose the press and hold for recent apps
Also why you not give root box ROM a try it has all AOKP features plus the option you're looking for like in CM10 to remap these button
