Here's my problem, I bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 from a friend like 4 months ago, which means I don't really know if it's a factory unlocked device or international unlocked device or unlocked using some kind of methods that I don't really know anything about them...
Anyway, I rooted it probably a month after buying it, and I installed two or three custom roms her and there. (I think I installed the X-TremE CM10 1.5 Pure, 1.6 Pure and others roms from other developpers...)
Finally I found the perfect custom rom that I used all the time until now, it was the SuperNexus rom from Faryaab.
Everything went fine until today, I decided to try a new rom, the Omega v16.2 from ::indie:: (I can't post the link sorry but it's very easy to find).
Factory/Data Wipe, Wiped the cache and the Dalvik Cache and installed from zip, everything went fine.
The problem here is that all this time I was using my default modem which I found with the phone, the XXLPX (not a quite loved and famous modem from what I've seen), but the rom I installed was "equiped" with the XXLSJ modem (I don't know if we can say so, i'm not really a professional), so my Baseband version actually changer to I9100XXLS6 (it was I9100XXLPX as said above) and know I have in my hands a SIM Locked device...
I tried the Galaxy S2 SIM Unlock application from Chainfire and the Galaxy_S Unlock from HELROZ and none of the two have worked.
I switched back to the SuperNexus rom, redownloaded the XXLPX modem and reflashed it through the CWM Recovery menu and my phone is still SIM Locked.
So my question here is, does the fact that the rom have changed my modem version locked my phone, or did I do something wrong when installing ?
And is there anyway I could reunlock my phone using any method (probably not, but I ask anyway, who knows) ?

You tried those apps with busybox right? sometimes you need to install another busybox installer version to getting it unlocked.
Have you tried Galaxy S2 SIM Unlock?
if you have a tendency to switch ROMs too often, you might want an app that keep that locking nightmare away.
if all apps fail, look into what these guys did (do not replace the bin file posted there, it's a diffrent method):

Can I actually change the version of the Baseband of my phone ? If yes, do I lose the SIM Unlock ? And if I can change the Baseband version and lose the actual SIM Unlock, can I reunlock it and keep that version of the Baseband or do I need to get back to the old version by reflashing it, then reunlock it ?
And finally, the efs folder that I need to backup every time before flashing a new rom (I didn't knew that), what does he contain ? From what I've seen he contains the nv_data.bin file which I think contains the unlock, and that folder also contains some IMEI informations and other stuff. If I actually back it up before installing a new rom, and if that rom changes the baseband version which will probably lock my phone, is it safe to put back that backed up efs folder while keeping the same rom and the same baseband version that came with it ? Does it reunlock the phone ? And do I just put it back using a root explorer and just overwrite it the existing ones ?
Yeah I know, too many questions a man can handle, but I really need to be informed of all those things so I can be aware of what I'm doing.

1) There are a lot o people that become some sort of experts on devices thanks to this forums. It takes houndreds - if not thousends - of hours reading posts and executing some things you learn here.
2) busybox is an app. It's Linux based and to tell you the truth, not too many people know exactely what it does, It's very difficult to pinpoint every single thing that this "busy" app performs; Just think of it like a an app that does a lot of things for other app(s) to perform better or to perform at all. You can download it directly from Playstore; bare in mind that sometimes the unlocking app will work with different versions of busybox, so you'll have to try and see. I'm now using "Busybox Free 8.9.7" & "Busybox Installer 4.1"
3) You can always change your MODEM, Baseband it's some sort of radio version that cell phones use to get service, some basbands work on many countries, regions, some don't, still...you always can "odin it" and change the modem (Always read about flashing modem with odin before you do anything).
4) Some ROMs will re-Networkl-lock your device, hell, happened to me every time I went up from Gingerbread - Ice Cream Sandwich - Jelly Bean Leak. The only thing you have to do is get the right tools so you can always unlock it without the drama.
These unlocking apps let you LOCK & UNCLOCK as pleased.
5) the EFS folder indeed contents your network information, IMEI and stuff, it's always good to back it up as it is an important folder for your device to function. I use HC-kTool to back it up whenever i need to.

So what are the tools I need? I already tried 2 different sim unlocking apps on the play store and I got someone to try changing the upload ur nv_data.bin and it still doesn't unlock

Thanks alot for those "enligthments".
I don't know which method the guy I brough my phone to used to unlock it, but I reflashed the Omega custom rom yesterday and it actually didn't relock my phone ! But from now on I'm gonna be alot more cautious when flashing a new custom rom. Recovery backup from the CWM recovery mode, efs backup and maybe some Titanium backup too, even though I prefere having a clean "new phone" and install the apps by myself rather than referring to a backup. Yeah I know it's stupid but I like it that way.

Anyway, what I know is that i have to downgrade it to 2.2 in order to be able to root. I've looked through a bunch of tutorials on a bunch of websites but there are a few questions i have about the process that isn't answered anywhere i've looked.
Apparently downgrading requires me to get a stock ROM from LG, there is a topic here for that but it does not have the right ROM for my country, i tried a couple codes but they all got me 404.
Can I just flash any standard ROM from, US maybe, will it work?
And if yes, how do I flash it? Apparently you can do that by booting into recovery mode, but to get there you need it to be rooted which I can't do.
I've read about KDZ and downloaded that but... it crashes a lot in my PC (whenever i try the Read Device) it gives me error and closes the program (windows program not responding dialog).
I'm afraid it might crash in the middle of it if i try flashing and that would brick my device.
Is there a simple way to flash a new ROM? Is that the first thing I have to do in order to get a custom ROM say Ubuntdroid? It says I need a new recovery... but for that I need to downgrade first? It's a lot to do... and I don't really get the order in which I should do it all in...
Can somebody post me a little "do this, then do that, then finally do that" so that I can understand it all finally?

1. Find a suitable v2.2 stock ROM for flashing (link)
2. Use KDZ to flash it (I am not aware of another tool capable of doing that). Try doing that on a PC running Windows XP (important - that's where you're stuck now and I guess you're using Windows 7).
3. Root your phone - search for "z4root" on Market, install it.
4. Install Custom recovery, which will replace your current (stock) recovery mode (link - you may need to create an account on another forum in order to download).
5. Using Custom recovery you can now install any custom ROM and create nandroid backups to restore your phone to a certain (working) state.
You will have to use KDZ again if you ever want to flash a stock ROM, also losing the custom recovery. But you will have no reason to do that, except if you need to take your phone to some warranty repairs.

NEW PROBLEM: About step 1... i finally found a way to get my country's rom, but... it's.. the same thats on my device right now, it says V10a_02 and thats the same on my phone (the kdz read phone tells me that) so... won't I just be flashing the same 2.2.1 again?

Indeed, I have not tried that method and therefore I can't recommend it. At least KDZ is successfully tested. If you are patient enough to wait for some replies either here or in that topic, you may find out if it works. I would recommend it only if you have no other choice, like if you're unable to try KDZ on an XP machine.
In the mean time, I remembered that a newer version of Custom recovery is available (v1.2) - here. But you still need to download a file and read the tutorial from that other forum I mentioned in the previous post.
what about the first part of the post? i think i might have added that after you replied i don't know... asking about the rom i found if it isn't the same i have on my phone. and asking if i can just add another country's one...

First backup your data, then download a factory ROM, it doesn't matter which version u download, what matters is the version. Make sure that it's 2.2 and not 2.2.1 or 2.2.2. Follow all the below steps without skippin any, no matter how simple or stupid they are.

Now download KDZ updater and uncompress it

Install msxml.msi from the uncompressed directory
Charge your battery to almost full state (I'm not sure, but it can be reason if phone doesn't start)
Turn phone off somehow (remove battery etc.)
Install drivers properly
Get rid of all usb drivers like Nokia, microsoft visual ++ run time environments
Install the LG drivers by selecting the update manager from the lg site
Disable LGE Virtual Modem. In your Windows operating system, go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Modems > Right click on LGE Virtual Modem and click Disable.
Press and keep pressed "Volume up"+"Return" and connect USB cable to phone
Yellow screen with text emergency mode should appeared
Shake the handset (I know, it sounds ... strange, but it helps for ones, so... why don't try it?) UPDATE: Read some quotes on bottom.
Run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe (Has administrator).
Select Type : 3GQCT (I have one report that CDMA mod works too)
Select PhoneMode : DIAG (in case of fail try EMERGENCY, and as last chance use CS_EMERGENCY)
I Recommend do not switch phone off. There was some people, which done it and after they was not be able to turn it on again. If flashing failed, just select some another mode and try it again, again, try shake/connect disconnect, again, again....
In KDZ file : Choose the ROM file you downloaded in the first step
Press Launch software update
Shake the handset (I know, it sounds ... strange, but it helps for ones, so... why don't try it?) UPDATE: Read some quotes on bottom.

i also have one that i got from that topic following the instructions of putting my serial number, it linked me to a rom V10A_02... on KDZ when i try to read my device it says i have V10A_02 too. isn't that the same one i have now? with android 2.2.1? if it is it's very pointless to flash the same rom already in it.
any way to check?

As far as my knowledge goes, the LG P500h you have is the same phone as the P500, only branded for Telus. The hardware should be identical, therefore you may use any ROM designed for the P500 family.
The only thing you may miss if you install a ROM not customized for a Brasil (or South America) network operator is the internet acces point name, thus rendering your phone unable to acces the internet trough its data service connection, but only trough WiFi. Nevertheless, the phone's APN can be configured manually, all you need are the correct settings from your mobile operator and you're good to go.
Ok since you guys told me i can go ahead and flash any country ROM i just did and now my device burst into flames and then the flames consumed my apartment.
ok, not. it worked too well actually, i did the kdz procedure on my win 7 anyway, despite the errors when reading device info, and it took like, 1 minute, rebooted, took like 2 minutes on the android screen then it came back, with all my data still there... i thought it didn't do anything but... its now version 2.2
i tried z4root, worked ... got the superuser app and.... i'm happy ^^ thaaaanks!
anyway about the custom recovery thing..
i'm going to install the one in that post you gave me...
but i read something about the best one being clockwork something...
shouldn't i go ahead and install that one?

Glad that it worked Install the Amon_RA's recovery!!! Many ROM's for OO won't support clock work I suppose. Amon RA's recovery is neat, I've been using that from the time I had an HTC tattoo.

You can do anything you need with ThunderG. Now that version 1.2 supports backup and restore of ext4 partitons (a feature you don't need if you don't plan on installing a custom ROM... but you will, eventually ), it is complete.
Moreover, in ClockworkMod's first topic says: "This recovery will not allow you to flash every ZIP file". ThunderG does, if you choose to allow flashing of unsigned zip files. Sometimes this is useful.

Although there are some criteria with the sd card or you'll get unmounting problems.
Use a class 4 or higher card
format with fat32
I've never officially tried this method but its apparently supposed to help
allocation unit size: 64kb when you're formatting

So, how does it goes?!
I´m brazilian too, got a brand new LG Optimus One from ViVo, and a want to know if you´re having any troubles with conections, calls, internet, 3G etc.

I´m afraid that if flash any custom rom, it will break or cause any misfuncition of the 3g service.

Not only on GPS fixes, but on comparing, updating, rooting, flashing, unlocking, APP's and other issues with my Galaxy s. So, after reading quite a bit, I decided to update or flash my phone to the latest (assuming that will solve GPS problem and all other issues). As a newbie to Android software which I was about to temper with, I selected androidadvices.com to guide me. I had read very carefully and I followed instructions meticulously to flash 2.3.4 XXJVP. but it did not work. then the phone did not start and I got the little mobile and pc with triangle in between sign. I still could get to download mode. I tried to repeat the process many times, but got same results. it halted after it started to load bin file. I consulted the so called expert at androidadvices if the I9000M differs from I9000 and if could that be the reason for what happened. HE did replied promptly "YES" and advised to take it to service center. I searched a little more on the web with other language and I found a tip about omitting pit file (using Odin). Tip worked fine and flashed to XXJVP. Please do not congratulate me yet. Now the phone starts showing I9000. I did not only lose M, but it is network locked. Getting back to the so called expert to ask him if it's a good idea to upgrade or rooting (as he described in his instructions) to 2.3.4 XXJVQ to solve the problem. Also I meant to publish what happened on his site to save other newbies from believing what he writes. And his answer was "YES" again. Now I know the trick how to use Odin by omitting pit file, I did flashed to XXJVQ. Unfortunately, the galaxy s still locked. By that time, with no search, I already know that XDA forum from their tens of Youtube videos and links on every galaxy s site for their unlocking techniques. I'm sorry I'm trying to make this story short, but I can't for I won't feel well if someone trying to help asks me "did you do that?". However I tried everything I could, using Generate Unlock and SIM less methods, on XDA to unlock, yet no luck. I logged on a site I do not recall the address and up loaded the nv_data.bin.orig and entered 8 digits twice for unlock and unfreeze. I got back the message "the file is smaller than it should". the file was 4MB. I paid for unlock code from unlock-freedom.com 2 days ago, which promised to send code within 12-24Hrs. Yes the store I bought it from is finally open today. I went there and he plugged it to laptop hooked to USB unlocking device. He tried many time and ending with the message unlocking successful on the unlocking app. Yes you got it, the Galaxy s I9000 previously I9000M still locked. On the bright side.I have Gingerbread 2.3.4 XXJPQ installed and if I dismiss unlocking screen I can log in my email. Any help from a real Expert!!!!! will the unlock code, if I receive it, solve the problem. will I ever have my new phone working again????

Ok that was pretty long and slightly confusing. But I think you lost your unlock yes? Have you tried Helroz's Galaxy S Unlock app from the market?
Thank you for replying, I'll be more than delighted to clear your confusion. The answer I coulld not try Helroz's for it's like some other methods require to gain access to efs folder. I don't have folder named efs. and the only file I found browsing internal sdcard whether through PC or Myfiles icon on mobile was nv_data.bin.org with another file called devicefriendlyname.txt with rest of regular folders like sovx and android. all under: /mnt/sdcard as it shows in the phone.

i tried changing TW launcher through sgs tools on simply honey but it said i didnt have busybox installed so i installed it and picked the newer version but still said i didnt have it, so dont know if i did something wrong

No Way I think you chould replace your TW launcher with your TV guide and look for the cable guy movie
I have a problem here installed busybox and ran it to get the following;
Root not found!
the su binary was not found on your phone. this application will not work since your phone is not rooted
Then I press OK to get:
Status: looking for Busybox....

you used root explorer ?? so you must be rooted
i tried restoring app with titanium and it said i wasnt rooted so i rebooted and then it worked

can anyone write happy ending to this endless story. but please consider I'm A NOOB not anything less than that. meaning I'm not familiar with most of terms and expressions you are using here.
However, if you are following this annoying story from beginning, I'm facing a dead end again, but i know there is great hope considering the following:
I have decided to start clean so I followed instruction in this thread (NOOB GUIDE: HOW TO ROOT/ODIN/FLASH/RECOVER ** 04/28/11 W/ Videos **).
I did every thing as it should be I believe, but I'm stock half way. Phone now flashed to stock T959UJFD (I'm glad now I can say that since I know what stock means) but shuts down as soon as I plug USB cable???????
I have update.zip file on internal SD not the 2GB external.
Also have the Rom of my choice zip file (Trigger 3.2) on internal SD.
Oh I also have SuperOneClick. And Odin 1.7
tried too many things like flashing without reparation or without reboot. tried also to flash some 2.3 Rom versions. and they do work well as I saw. Only one main problem I can't root the phone (meaning I can't see efs folder to unlock phone) which what I have to do since I locked it while trying to fix GPS, in case you are not following from the start.
I also have a very light nice functional stable Arabic Persian Rom. as a matter of fact, I do not know how, but with this version of Rom the phone was able to receive calls and sms. half locked

you cant root rooting means you can flash custom roms which you've done ?? so you must be rooted ??
and you dont need odin or super one click on your sd (if thats what you meant)
but trying to fix gps locked it as in only open to 1 network/carrier ?? (whatever it's called where you are)

I've been researching a lot the last few days about flashing ROMs, Unbranding and Root etc..
i currently have SGS2 which is also my first Smartphone / Andriod Phone.
So even tho I've read FAQ's Wikis guides. etc i still have some things to get cleared up. which i hope some here could help me with ^_^.
1. I live in Scandinavia, more specific Denmark. Do i have to use Certain "CSC" and "PHONE" Number/Codes, for the phone to work, where i live. afaik. the CSC and Phone is the things that controls WIFI BT GPS, and the 2g/3g networks.
2. Sometimes i see people mention "Kernel" and that its important to use a rom based on the same "kernel" is kernel just another word for firmware? the thing is i think its entirely different. some clarification is needed here.
3. If i flash a modified Stock rom To my phone. with ROOT CWM for example this one (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399). is it possible to undo Root and CWM. i'm in doubt because further down in the thread, he states by flashing a stock rom onto the phone, you can remove the triangle but not the root and cwm.
This is the things that is still unclear for me. and since it's my first time to try and do all this, i must be 100% sure, i understand it all correctly.

on your dialler enter *#1234# and look at the last 3 letters of the description under PDA.
- You will also find this info if you go in to settings\about phone\Baseband Version

Similar to what I mentioned above, use one of the ROMs that has the same 'extension' as your phone now as it is most likely using the same modem etc..

If you flash a stock, unmodified ROM, it will remove root. It's like getting an update from Samsung directly.

Kernel is not firmware its the base below OS level that communicates with the CPU . Firmware is a full package CSC Modem OS Kernel APPS .
Kernels can be mixed but thats a user choice and user accepts it may not work well .

I'm still a bit unclear on my first subject.
The Modem/PHONE number, does it have to be a specific "Scandinavia Compatible" Number/Code for my phone to function with calls etc.
the same goes for the CSC code.

Some users report that particular radios/modems work better in certain countries than others, but you sohuld be able to use ANY of the modem/radios found on these forums on your SGS2.
For example, my phone came with KE1 radio. I flashed KE7 to match the cf kernel installed when rooting. It works fine

Well the familar volume up/down button broken happened to me, phones not that old either
Had it repaired in the UK straight from Samsung, who's service is to be honest damm bloody good! Special Delivery pre paid envelope sent, and the return time was less than a week inc a Bank Holiday day, so that part of the service was great!
Now the not so good part lol
The phone was rooted by a mate I think who said he could "UNLOCK" the carrier for me, so I could use my simcard.... a nice little note from Samsung was packed in with my phone, telling me the fault had been repaired, and the very latest firmware had been installed to keep the device UP TO DATE :laugh::laugh::laugh:
Now of course, not only is the phone back to stock, its not accepting my simcard either!!

I looked at the Cyangenmod10 which I found by accident, it looks good and to be honest I hated my radio cutting out because I had turned over and the phone had too, so I wouldn't miss that specific feature, but would installing it "ROOT" the phone?
I need to be able to use my carrier. I may have come across some APK files which might need to be installed, and some of these need the phone rooted, Titanium Backup is another app I use which needs rooting and Superuser access I believe
Will all this be done if Cyangenmod10 is put on the phone?
Any help or info appreciated please
Flashing a custom rom will not unlock your phone!
And AFAIK, your phone needs to be rooted before trying to flash CM
So:
-first root your phone with CF-root by Chainfire
-then unlock your phone with GalaxSim Unlock by Spocky12

Yes, I know it can be turned off, but to be honest coming from an iPhone 4s to this, The S3 is FAR superior, there are just a few things I am either not used to, or dont like, touchwiz being one lol

Well, I rooted it successfully after following the instructions, I then installed the Sim Unlock and it said it couldnt find busybox, so I installed that, then went back to sim unlock and it failed, all the things are in RED
I tried rebooting the phone, it turns on and asks for an unlock code, tried Sim unlock again, not working, any ideas?

I heard it opens up a world of opportunity with your smartphone, and some apps I really want are only available vain rooted phones. I have the Samsung galaxy s3 international version. It was originally from Australia if that matters at all. It is on 4.0.4. Anyways, being a noob to android more or less, and being a bit apprehensive (because I have no warranty and I cannot obtain another phone easily) I was wondering basically how risky it is to brick your phone in a) the process of rooting your phone. Is it common? If it does get bricked is it reversable by a restore or simply gone? Also after rooting, is there any upkeep or management I need to do to make sure my rooted phone does not screw up? And lastly. What is the safest and easiest way to root the international quad core gs3 on ics. Thank you to everyone for your time

Well, most you could pick up be reading a bit, everything is already explained around here but since i was in your shoes very recently:
- there's always a risk. You need to be aware of that. That said, most cases that actually go wrong it's usually user's fault who failed to follow instructions closely. So read them. And read some more. And then read again just to make sure. And then i'd read again.
I used this very recent method from chainfire (salute and donate to the man if you like and can, he deserves it) to root my 4.0.4 international GT-I9300 S3:

Triangled away next and everything worked like a charm. This preserves everything as stock as possible just adding root to your phone.
- from what i can tell, as long as you don't do anything that messes with the bootloader, you can always recover from a procedure gone wrong. Just disconnect, remove battery, insert and try again. Rebooting the computer or changing usb ports usually helps too (on odin).
- after rooting successfully, the very first thing you should do is backup your /efs folder. This is easy, just pick up root explorer or some other file manager that allows exploring you root (/), go up in your folders until you get to / look for the efs folder and just copy it (NOT MOVE) elsewhere (sd card, external sd, your computer preferably, whatever, just have that safe). This will come in handy in case you lose your imei at some point. Just restore this folder's contents and you're good to go. If that happens and you don't have a backup, it's a f'ing pain you can do well without.
- anything else root related is just common sense. Since you have the potential to screw up your entire phone with root permissions (this is why you don't have them in the first place), if an app pops up asking for root permissions, be sure what it is before allowing. If you're not sure, you can always deny first and allow later in the superuser app.
- you can also look into backing up with nandroid. You can think of this as an image of your entire phone. With this you can restore your phone to the same state it was when you did it. Useful when something went wrong and your phone doesn't boot anymore or you just wanted to try new roms with the option of coming back to what you had before. Not sure how you do it on the S3 still, but it usually requires a modified recovery like CWM. The method to root above doesn't install one though, it preserves what you had. 1) You don't need to root to update to JB.
Just download any ROM you want from http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9300 (I recommend the UK unbranded ROM, BTU) then use Odin3 to flash it to your devices. Search the forums for specific instructions on this procedure. I'll just tell that it takes no more than 2-3 minutes.
2) If you're going to root, I suggest you do it beforehand, by flashing a kernel like Siyah (in ICS), and then proceed to flashing the stock JB ROM, HOWEVER, instead of using Odin3, you will use MobileOdion (available from Play Store), because that way you'll have a fully rooted and stock device.
3) Using step 2 above, it will not wipe not unroot your phone. It is safe and retains all your settings. That is the beauty of MobileOdin. There is a free version.
If you root and THEN install via Odin (PC), then you'll lose root, but not your settings.
In either case, you only wipe the device IF YOU WANT TO.
So, the best option is to:
a) Install SiyahKernel using Odin3 (PC)
b) Download the JB BTU ROM from http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9300
c) Extract the .md5 from the ZIP file and move it to the device's ext. sd card
d) Install MobileOdin in the device
e) Use MobileOdin to flash the .md5 you moved to it in step (c)
f) install TriangleAway (download from XDA) and run it to reset binary counter (which got incremented in step [a] )
Results: rooted, JB, stock, all settins retained, no binary counter increment

I do have a slight question thought. I live in New Zealand and have the GT-I9300T model of the GS3 and I'm wanting to install the international unbranded rom for that I can get updates faster (here in NZ it takes months and months to get updates)
I downloaded the International UK unbranded firmware 4.0.4 and was going to flash that rom onto my phone then upgrade to jelly bean via kies but have since relised I should just download the jellybean UK firmware straight away. Do you by any chance havea link to the firmware that I would need, I noticed there were a few different versions.
Also about the CSC, would I need to do any changes?

The 9300T and the 9300 are NOT the same device, therefore they use different firmware (ROM). The ROMs for the 9300T are here: http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9300T
I don't think there is a 9300T ROM for the UK, since the model released there is the 9300 (non-T).
It seems that either Samsung-updates hasn't indexed any ROMs for your model or they haven't been released.
About CSC: just don't worry about it... download and flash any ROM you want for your specific model and don't worry. If you don't like it, just download and flash another one.

I actually just tried the UK unbranded rom that was for the i9300 on my i9300T and suprisingly everything seems to work ok so far (phone calls, txting, 3g etc)

Thank you for your responses to my post regarding rooting my s3. They were very helpful. i succesfully rooted via chainfire cf auto root for the I9300 model without problem. Just one last question, I have been searching around a bit and some people are saying that flashing the jellybean firmware via odin, is not a perfect copy.. i mean some say they have been experiencing very minor problems here and there. So, if i update to the uk firmware on jelly bean via odin or mobile odin, and i experience some problems, can i still get the official ota update or jellybean 4.1 via kies when it is released?
