I saw a second update from att? There was an update when I first bought the phone after rooting that did not affect anything. I had changed my network to exclude fota but I am still seeing an update it mentioned that this was the first of three attempts anyone else seeing an update? Is there a way to block it.

I purchased the phone yesterday. So this may be an update that you guys already received.

That's what it is...I just got the phone last Saturday so already had the update.

I've already rooted/unlocked my phone, and I'm running the base ROM. Is it safe to install this update? I haven't seen anyone mention it, so I'm thinking it's probably alright. However, I figured it would be safer to ask anyway, given the "do not allow any OTAs to install without asking if they are compatible" warning in the FreeGee thread .

I don't think it will install if you're not on stock. I think the install will fail.

I see. So am I missing out on some major bug fixes or anything like that? Is there a changelog somewhere?

I saw that I was hoping I could block ota without rooting. Thanks though I guess I'm going to have to root.

This doesn't require root.

K so I freezed com.lge.omadmclient but I don't have com.lge.Lgfota.permission 4.0.4-91f513f88d I have Something close but has different numbers on end and I have two of them so what do I need to freeze to stop ota
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda premium
The lgfota one. It's ok that numbers differ slightly. Fear not.
I keep seeing ROMs with the updated or potentially have the ME7 update soon...can someone explain to me exactly what that is?
It's the last 3 letters/numbers of your build number found in settings/about phone

The ME7 update that Verizon put out brought some new features to the table, like moving apps to the external SD card. However, the update also killed root. Root has just recently been found again in ME7.

In currently running stock firmware but rooted. I'm in the 3 network in the UK. I checked the other night to see if an update was showing and nothing, and I've been checking periodically over the last few weeks.
Tonight I thought I would give it a go and I am currently downloading a 548.36mb update. Does anyone know what this is??

Its kitkat buddy
It has to be Lollipop, pal
For real?! I didn't think I would get the OTA as I am rooted. Plus I've not heard anyone else getting it.
Is it sad that I'm stoked about this?!

Just attempted to update but Xposed and Root got in the way. No way to unroot the phone without a PC in guessing?
