The isue is WELL confirmed - nothing past GB roms work on Flyer for BT calls. Semi working was Dexters XXL ICS.

No dude,it isn't working.I am using LeeDroid ROM .You can only call but cannot receive call !

Please read again. I am talking about phone functionalitiy ower BT as stated in first post and NO it isnt working on nothing alse but GB roms. I tried them all with dif. headsets; many roms doesent even suport BT.
On second note: speaking about wired headset and/or using internal mic/speakerLeedroid has phone functionalities and u can call and recive calls with proper dialer(exdialer).
So happy we have an official review for a rom last updated in October

M using leedroid hc rom and it supports calling too ..but not sure about bt or headset support

Honestly, I really wanted to see a new face on my Flyer GB phone, and thought the phone feature was working.
After installing, I wish i never upgraded to this. And i cant seem to roll back to GB or HC. This was my main phone/tablet and im stuck.
When i try to make a phone call with blutooth, it crashes, or i cant hear the person on the otherside, and they cant hear me.
This rom will basically ruin your tablet It's not worth the update.
Now i need to save up for a new phone. Not very happy.
If someone can direct me to a guide on how to downgrade my s-off flyer 3g-wifi back to HC or GB, i will love you. Thanks.

If the only backup you have is your GB ROM, or just want to go back to straight stock locked flyer you'll need to look here on how restore your flyer back to stock GB, it's in the flyer dev forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1307759
If i recall you'll need to re-root your flyer after doing the above and then restore your GB backup, if you have one.
If you made a backup of HC then you should be able to just restore the backup and you're good
Many don't have issues with going back to HC after going to any of the ICS or JB ROMs as they use the same bootloaders
What kind of errors do you get when you load any HC ROM here, like LeeDroid, Mwakous, etc...?
It is easy to downgrade, and it is certainly not the ROMs fault that a feature you need is not working. The issue of Bluetooth has been discussed dozens of times in the thread

For all of you who wanted tethering to be easy and clean on the Amaze I present to you the Android Wifi Tethering app in working order:

This is still somewhat beta but I have tested it and confirmed it works. Couple of key things to note though. You MUST choose Amaze in Device Profile and you must select "Routing Fix".

Very simple, if I can do it, anyone can. And I did.

What is your setup? Are you stock or running a custom rom?
It seems to fc in sense 3.5. Let me see if other versions work.

I have tried 4 different roms on my amaze. Quiksense 3, beastmod, bulletproof, and something else. I wasn’t successful with any to get the wifi, tethering or Bluetooth to work. How do I use your download and make it work on any one of these roms. Kinda new to all this so if u can describe in simple English whether I need to go from the recovery mode from sd or rom manager, it’d be appreciated. Thanks

You have to manually flash a kernel with custom ROMs

Im confused? If we are talking bout wireless thering for another wifi device to connect to your phone. I use my amaze all the time and I haven't rooted mine yet because im waiting for Ice Cream Sandwich .

tried both the newest beta (v3_1_beta11) and pre106. I see the hotspot from my PC and the log on the phone looks good, but the attempted connection times out.

No, or at the very least not until we have kernel sources for HC.
Long story short, lost my Nexus, switched to this for $200 bucks last night
Rooted, s-off, unlocked and on GB RUU. Every ROM I've tried, the wifi tethering doesn't work. I've tried all the old tricks.
Can anyone suggest a ROM that has it??

Every single rom I've tried wifi tether works for me you just have to make sure you check the right things:
Device: galaxy Nexus lte
Check routing fix
And I check reload wifi driver for good measure.
im on newts rls 3.2.1 sense 4.0 and tether works and very stable also on ics ruu
I would recommend a Sense 3.6 ROM vs the Sense 4.0 ROMS. I am on CleanROM 4.4 and it works flawlessly. Wifi Tether works great as well. Just follow the directions on the CleanRom thread.

When you say check the routing fix. and reload wifi driver, you mean on the phone itself right?
I know the devices that I want to use with it work fine. The Gnex wifi tether worked like a dream.

Yeah on the phone itself. If you want you can grab delete the app from /system/app and flash the zip provided in the link.
wifi tether works on ICS better, the only downside is battery life is a little worse on ICS

I got tired of using gingerbread and wanted the USB Device Host feature so i can use my ps3 controller.
Installed Dexters Jellybean 1.7 , works great except, you cant make phone calls anymore.
3G works for web/ remote desktop, but once u call someone, theres no audio back and forth.
Gonna try a work around so i can use voip / call forwarding.

I believe the wired mic option works with Dex' build.

No stable ics or jb rom? Not sure I agree with that statement. I recently installed YNC's CG rom, and it's been at least as stable as HTC's honeycomb build. Granted I haven't yet put the GPS or bluetooth through a good workout (both crucial to a setup in a car), but for everyday use around the house it has been rock solid.

There are still a few features yet to be implemented: front facing camera, usb otg, and a couple of others. So read the first post to see the full list of things that aren't yet functional. Hey guys, I dont post here much but i did some searches and read the FAQs and cant find any info on my questions.
Im wondering about known bugs.
Is there a problem with the bluetooth audio streaming profile? My legend streamed perfectly over BT to my car sterio but Amaze wont.
Lately it does not switch to wifi automatically when I get home. bug?
Has HTC released ANY updates in the last year, b/c Mobilicity in Canada has not given me ONE update.
I found in the FAQ that, when you record video, the audio on the video sucks, all my concert videos suck
the keyboard seems slow and flakey, swiftkey is waaayyy better
So im thinking if selling and getting a nexus 4.
Will a root and rom install fix issues and make it a better phone. Any inut appreciated. I think Ill stick with nexus branded devices in the future. Not getting any updates is unacceptable.

first of all its hard to reply to any of what you stated, because the only thing ive been able to figure out is that you have the Mobilicity HTC Amaze... are you running (STOCK)? is your phone unlocked/rooted/s-on(off)/? are you currently on GB or ICS i don't think there's an offficial JB release for the amaze as far as i know... unless you flash a custom JB rom... lets see what else am i missing.. what version Hboot/Radio are you on, and also not everyones phone works the same way, so the 'in general term" is vague lol

so your phones practically out of the box then? are they any real issues with stock roms though.. i mean besides compatibility with the other actually devices that your using with it.. your car etc... i would suggest unlocking the bootloader, and flashing a few roms to try something new and different.. but be warned... once you flash a rom you'll never stop wanting to flash rom

thanks yea, new phone. i guess ill try rooting and flashing,
i was hoping it wouldnt get to this point. I mean i love 'hacking' hardware to put on new firmware and stuff but not when its a huge hassle and could destroy my unit.
