Hello together,
Does anyone know if and how it is possible to controll allways the volume of your complete phone with the scroll wheel?
For example:
When you are playing music with the media player and the player is running in the background. On your display you have another application running like TomTom. Now, if you want to change the volume of the music, you have to take the media player to you display and than you can change the volume with the scroll wheel.
Is it possible, with a register setting e.g., to controll the volume of the music without taking the media player to the display?
Thanks for help.
Greetings Pudl

There is this app for iPod Touch called Activator (only when jailbroken) which lets me bind lots of controls to different buttons. For instance, when I hold the volume up key, I can set the device to play the next song. Or when I hold the power key, it toggles rotation on or off.
Now I'm wondering if there is such an app for android, especially to control the music (previous/next song, pause, play, ..) with hardware keys.
Hi Everyone,
On my Samsung Epic, I was able to access the directory of system/usr/keylayout/sec_jack.kl where "headsethook" was listed. This enabled me to use the little button on the wire connecting my Bose Headphones to the Epic along with an App called "Headset Button Control" to play/pause music.
When I searched the same directory of "keylayout" on the Nook Tablet, I didn't find sec_jack.kl, and as I suspected, the same button had no effect on the nook (checked via debug option in Headset Button Control)
I was wondering if there is any way to make the NT recognize the headphone button, or if this is a pure hardware issue?
Thank you so much for your attention!
(as for the reason, I would like to press the button to flip pages on my ebook reader and manga reader. I have tried this on my phone using Tasker, and it works 100%)
Here's a screenshot of the headphone button: 4electronicwarehouse.com/content/bose/mobile-on-ear-headset-ser2.jpg
I was attempting to setup my PS3 controller with my GalaxyS3 using the app Six Axis Controller.
I was to pair my controller, and get it to work wireless but I'm having some strange configuration issues.
It seems that the PS3 buttons have pre-assigned functions such as the Start Button which behaves like the GS3's home button.
This is causing conflict in some of my games.
Specifically on Dungeon Hunters 3 there are only on screen controls.
I went into SixAxis and setup a profile for the on screen controls.
However when I push the start button it still call the Home Key and kicks me out of the app.
It seems the keymaps do no override the pre-assigned mappings.
My question is,
Is there any way to disable these pre-assigned mappings so that there is no button conflict?
I should note, emulators work fine. If I go into an emulator and assign a key it sees it as a gamepad button.
The NES emulator for example accepts the Start and Select buttons just fine.
It only seems to effect native Android games with on screen controls.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?
Thank You...
I think I've figured it out.
There is a change you have to make to Six Axis Controller.
After creating your OnScreen controls, you have to set them to active in SixAxis.
To do so when you open SixAxis you'll see an option
Active Touch Profile
You need to select the profile that you want active in order for it to take over the button functionality of your PS3 controller.
Hope this helps others...
I want a bluetooth remote control. preferably something customizable. IE buttons on a remote I can strap to my steering wheel and an app where I can "define" what button presses do (preferably app specific) so play pause skip in music app for example.
a button to "toggle" between two apps
a button to "invoke" voice search so I can tap the button and then speak commands.
