I want a bluetooth remote control. preferably something customizable. IE buttons on a remote I can strap to my steering wheel and an app where I can "define" what button presses do (preferably app specific) so play pause skip in music app for example.
a button to "toggle" between two apps
a button to "invoke" voice search so I can tap the button and then speak commands.

Hi,
I'm search for some d-pad app, which can show me virtual d-pad on screen. I found some, but it doesn't met my needs. I need d-pad for example for edit of searched value. This can be done by "arrow" or trackball - but we have nothing of these.
I also tried remap UP/DOWN d-pad keys on volume UP/DOWN but I can't set up volume during call, mute, configure volume...
My requirements
- I don't want see d-pad all the way. I would like bring-up virtual d-pad by some hw key (long/short search button press for example) or for example from notify or by tiny persisted virtual key on display
- it should be possible move d-pad on screen
I found only one app which is really is close to my requirements, but it works strange and have sometime FCs. It is called softkeys.
I do not understand, why for windows mobile exist so much virtual d-pads, services for handling key shortcuts even gravity control "d-pad" but for android nothing?
There is this app for iPod Touch called Activator (only when jailbroken) which lets me bind lots of controls to different buttons. For instance, when I hold the volume up key, I can set the device to play the next song. Or when I hold the power key, it toggles rotation on or off.
Now I'm wondering if there is such an app for android, especially to control the music (previous/next song, pause, play, ..) with hardware keys.
So I have used the wii controller app so fat to connect and use my wii remote. Works great. A as media play/pause and right to track next and left previous track. Plus is volume up and minus is volume down. Now what I need to do is map a key to an activity. Is there anyway I can for example make the 1 button to be for example ( and then I can make ( to open my desired music app? Thanks
Hello guys,
I'm playing PUBG on S9+ Exynos and have trouble shooting while aiming.
Is there anyway to map the Volume UP button to the touch screen where the shoot icon is so I can shoot with the pointing finger while aiming and moving with 2 thumbs like on consoles?
Non-root method please
you need BxAction (or some other app that can remap hardware buttons. BxAction can remap Vol up/down and Bixby), tasker, and auto input.
- Use bxaction to map the button you want to a Tasker task (let's call it ShootGunTask, for example)
- in Tasker's ShootGunTask, go to the plugin and choose autoInput. Then input the display coordinate if the icon
I use something very similar to what you want in Telegram. When I'm in telegram app, short clicking Bixby button clicks the "send voice note" button. Effectively turning my phone into a walkie-talkie.

hey can you please explain more ?
Just got the Razer hammerhead ANC headphones. They sound amazing. There is only one drawback. The middle button on the remote does not skip songs in Spotify (using two clicks). They do work in other apps like SoundCloud or Play Music. The Huawei headset that came with the phone does work with Spotify. Is there a fix for this other than the workaround I found? Will try to explain expected and actual behaviour below.
1: Start playlist on Spotify and click middle button on headset remote pauses song. This is good.
2: Start playlist on Spotify double click middle button, repeats first action twice. This is not so good
3: Start playlist on Spotify
- use Google assistant to skip song (with Spotify on screen open Google assistant by pressing on screen "home button", select keyboard and type/use voice command "next")
- double click middle button, skips to next song. Strange but ok(why?)
