install superSU from the market, then approve and install binary, do not uninstall superuser as requested by superSU. the use rootbrowser and go to system/app and delete superuser.apk. done.

[Q] Busybox

I just started to root my xperia x8, but I'm still confuse. which one version of busybox compatible with my xperia. or you can attached app of busybox in this thread. please.
You don´t need to worry about the busybox, just install a recovery, the you´ll have it.
After that, just leave it as it is, that means:
Don´t update it, don´t uninstall it, just leave it.
Custom ROMs also have the right busybox included.
Just leave it as it is.

You mean I just root with SOC without busybox from market?
Should I rooted my phone if I wanna upgrade the customROM?
and Should be rooted if I wanna install xRecovery?
U should be rooted to install xrecovery or CWM.
U must have recovery to install custom ROMS
Dont even bother about busybox...when u root,it install itself

SuperSU problem!

Okay folks we definitely got a problem here.
I just booted into a new rom and as soon as i opened superSU,it said "SU binaries need to be updared, continue?"
I click on yes nd then i click on install normally rather than through cwm
After that it says installation failed! And supersu closes off.
I need help how shall i update the damned binaries?
Help will be highly appreciated!

Why don't You try to download it from Play Store?
And there was sth called "super user update fixer", but it was for superuser, not superSU, which You're using.
@coolancool,
Use this superuser app, it's better than supersu & hasn't any problem with the binaries update.

Using phone without Busybox?

Hi all,
I want to ask one question. I flashed a CWM recovery to my i9300, and installed root (superuser.apk) via sideload. I don't changed kernel, it is stock. But I haven't installed Busybox. So, I want to know, is there a big problem? May I be able to use all root features and apps? Will I be able to flash some mods via CWM recovery? I am not developer, and I want to use stock ROM with some root tweaks and mods.
Thanks in advance.
Many root apps require busy box. There are installers on play

As above, I use Sterriksons installer from play, just search for busybox, many root apps need it

[Q] xposed installer won't install

I have just installed xposed installer but it shows the big red label the latest version is NOT active in the module section. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, master reset, several reboots, but nothing changes. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

Assuming that you are rooted, once you install Xposed, open the app, click on "Framework", Click Install/Update button, reboot. That should do. Else, confirm you've rooted properly and have latest busybox installed.

According to root checker I'm rooted. Busybox will not install. Now what? Thanks

There lies your problem. System partition is not writable & busybox is not installed. Try rooting once again. Also install try installing busybox using Flashtool.

Have you actually installed Supersu? You may have 'rooted' using Root Tools etc but have you installed a root management app and installed the binaries?
