Since there are many people asking for this mod which is available on CM9/10, I was searching a bit and finally got it working. It works on any ICS/JB rom but I havent tried on GB. Thanks to rovo89 and stole38. Make sure you are following all steps correctly because if not, your phone will be stuck in a bootloop. OK, here we go ! :fingers-crossed:
Requirements:
1) Root
2) init.d Support
3) Brain
Installation:
1. Download this APK file and install it on your phone (Xposed Installer) HERE
2. Download this second app and install it on your phone (Xposed Tweakbox) HERE
3. Open the Xposed Installer and press Install/Update. Wait.
4. After installing the framework, press Soft Reboot. The phone will reboot and might boot longer than usual, dont panic
5. After the phone has rebooted, open the Xposed Installer again and go to the Modules tab.
6. Check Xposed Tweakbox. And exit the Xposed Installer.
7. Open the Xposed Tweakbox app and choose Miscellaneous from the menu.
8. Check Skip tracks with volume keys
9. Exit the application and reboot the phone
10. Enjoy !
NOTE: It works only when the screen is off (locked).
Thanks lot, I'll try it
great app, trying it out now, and softreboot was faster than a regular reboot.
working good on my SXP. thanks a lot for this.

Yes, after the installation of this mod you must NOT install any other tweaks from tweakbox
thanks to share this...it will work with any player?
EDIT: so tested on my P with power amp and...woooo it works
Btw if you use power amp to use this mod you have to go on settings/lock screen and enable lockscreen ICS
Someone can explain me what is "init.d support" please ? This tweaks looks like awesome but i don't want to brick my Xperia U..

So here it is
Init.d plays an important role in the world of Android development and customization It allows users to install scripts and mods to be run at boot—everything from battery tweaks to performance tweaks. It essentially opens the door to a world of mods only possible through the Init.d process, which in turn is usually only available on custom kernels.

Hi, thanks for the rom! Silly question - how do I flash the .zip file? Do I have to rename it to update.zip and then install from sd card in the recovery mode?
No, you don't need to. You can use the recovery to install the file from any location.
I'd just like to let you know, DSP Manager works out-of-box on stock SE without replacing audio libs.

Thanks. I've managed to flash the new ROM. Get past the boot screen thinking all good until I get this message: "Sorry! The Application HTC_IME mod (process jonasl.img) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Force Close.
I've installed the compatible kernel so not sure what's gone wrong here.
All I can do is power down the device, no access to menus etc
Any advice please?
Seems like the keyboard is giving you flak. OP, did you test it?

It's not a question of compatibility, it also gave that error on other phones where I also made the rom (lg optimus dual) I repeat that mistake it to be 'only immediately after the first flash ROM, tested and running perfectly

Hi, thanks for all the replies regarding this issue but reboot hasn't helped.
I've rebooted it about 5 times so it's not a first boot issue. I'll try leaving it running for a while, as you mentioned it might create the file structure etc.. will let you know how I get on.

Tried that mate, no joy I can't get no apps up, can get into the keyboard settings by holding one of the hard keys then selecting the settings icon.
Should I reflash the kernel perhaps and then reflash the ROM?

Thanks, I have a little experience with flashing android phones and the iPhone. I don't have that much concrete knowledge of the "in's & out's" of the phone but I'm very good at following directions to the "T"...
Thank you very much. Looking forward to your rom

Therefore, I'd like people to confirm it's working, and if not, please give me all infos

So I'm a bit confused with the description... Does it allow the modification of the stock launcher or it's a tool to fix errors and/or create backups?
As described, the purpose of this script simply is to backup, restore, clean and fix the Home Datas.
To mod the Home, see HomeCustomizer.

I made one time flasher for this small apps mod, but the phone got stuck in an endless bootloop. Even if you add these in your rom you will get bootloop. I think it has something to do with the framework

This will work if you have an already installed small apps on the instructions of the first message. You need to take these files and install a replacement for the framework-res.apk in system/framework, for systemUI.apk in system/app with set permissions. Do not forget say thanks Spaun_Studio it's his job. Made specifically for SXP.

After a lot of trial and tribulation, I found a method to get long press on volume skipping tracks in all music apps. To be clear this works on STOCK ROOTED ME7.
If you need info on rooting, check out this thread
To get it working you need XPosed Framework and Wanam Xposed to send the correct long press command. This can then be intercepted by the HeadsetButton Controller app, available on Google Play, in order to skip tracks.
INSTALLATION
1) Install XPosed Framework. Then REBOOT
2) Install Wannam Xposed from the google play store and REBOOT.
3) Open up XPosed Installer, and click Install/Update. Reboot.
4) Open Xposed Installer again, and click the Modules tab. Click the check mark on Wanam Xposed. Reboot.
5) Open Wanam Xposed and click the Sound option. Make sure "Skip tracks with volume keys" is checked. Reboot.
6) Install HeadsetButton Controller . (There is a trial version available for you cheapskates ) Open it up, and go to the advanced settings. Make sure "Enabled" is checked. Make sure that under "Target music app" that "Currently running music app" is selected.
7) Finally, REBOOT and enjoy.
I know there's a lot of reboots. I'm not sure that all are necessary, but I do know that if you do follow all of these steps, you will be enjoying long press volume skip as much as I am.
I do all of that with only one reboot. Also you don't need the app. Volume skip works for me on me7.

I'm on the previous stock release and have only rooted (and custom recovery for future use). I'd LOVE to get this feature back (had it on my GNex)
I thought the Xposed framework only worked on deodexed ROMs?
Interestingly the long press volume up is one of the only features I'm greatly missing (I use my phone on my motorcycle all the time and really want to get back the ability to skip tracks while riding). I was contemplating changing ROMs but really I'm happy w/ stock except for not having this.

Don't know for sure whether or not it will work for MDK, but I'm guessing it would. And yes, Xposed framework works with regular, stock (rooted) ROMs.
Just exactly what the title of the thread says... nothing else!
I am not a dev....
Just to make it clear, there is 0% of development work from my side here, just used the available tools around and spent a lot of hours in testing and trying the best config to reduce as many bloat as possible but still don't affect first boot with setup wizard.

What?? That has nothing to do with their question...
But to answer them, you need LP installed, root, & recovery(from the install notes above) to even install this. Seems all you get here is deodex and zipalign.
I'm on a 6603(US) and I did my phone like 20 times yesterday to get xposed to work. Got root and recovery each time, the first time. This is how i did it from scratch...
1. Using Flashtool, flash .93 fw
2. Boot and enable debugging, mock, unknown sources, & airplane mode
3. Run giefroot (v2 worked best for me)
4. Run dual recovery installer (after root's reboot)
5. Flash prerooted LP from twrp recovery
6. Run byeselinux after first boot
Phone will reboot and your set. You can then flash this file, or u can flash it at step 5 (this I haven't tried).
I take no responsibility for what you do to your phone. Follow my steps at your own risk. Backup everything first to an external device/sd card
Does this have any Oi customization? I mean boot logo etc...

All right, did almost the same friendly process, this thread is for those who have at least Lollipop.
Do not use Xposed, very unstable for me.

I let the thread link by serajr the option rom debloted. The deodex is only in app, priv-app framework and does not include boot unless use the FW Oi BR
To be sure how this works:
This is for not deodexed LP stock roms.
When you flash this .zip it will automatically delete the unnecessery bloatware and zipaligne the rom?
