Looking for creative ways to get Hulu on my tv.
I am open to ANY suggestion, but to keep it relevant to this section I need to know methods involving either the Vibrant or Android also.
Thanks!
Do you prefer free or paid? There's alot of paid options, but there are free options as well.

Do you have like a Blu-Ray player? you know the ones with Netflix etc? Or a PS3/Xbox?
best option and its very easy!! if u have a pc just download playon its a media server. So if u have a wd media player or a wii, 360 or ps3 then log onto the media server on any of those, it supports many other devices too. U can watch netflix or hulu or many many other channels on there.
theres a android app too

very easy and simple and once u get the android app u can watch netflix or hulu from ur playon on ur phone over 3g or wifi. Works great thats how i do it.
wow, I had heard playon, but did NOT realize it was on Android.
Can I then use TV out to my tv, from my vibrant? I mean, it gets wifi.. if the signal is good for the server, seems like that would work. Phone has flash.. hulu work on our phones?
hulu works on some phones but it works on all phones through playon i think. i know i get hulu and netflix very easily.
Alright, sounds like my Vibrant + PlayOn is the way to go.
Any other options that I am missing though?
3 months ago we canceled comcast services and picked up at&t u_verse Internet (tv not in our area yet) and the Roku HD box. Netflix/Amazon/hulu+ and lots more. Our kids use wii's for netflix. It's a switch not having regular tv but we really don't miss it, I prefer it this way.

I'm contemplating rooting my SGS3 but I know the TWC TV app live streaming does not work on rooted devices. Is there a simple way around this on a rooted device? Anybody out there rooted that has the streaming working in the TWC TV app?

there is not way around it as of yet on version 2.2 and the problem is that if you use an out dated version it wont let you use the app so previous fixes no longer work
Is TWC the save as Bright House? If it is there is a thread here.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1684823
After HBO updated their Now app to have Chromecast support, I took the plunge and signed up... only to find out that the app does not work on rooted devices. Are there any ways to hide root status that don't involve using xposed? I'm guessing not, but I figured I might as well ask. I was hoping that there'd be a general "cast" button in the app, and that I could just shoot video to my Nexus Player that way, subverting the attempt to play the video on my phone/ tablet (and thus, not being blocked due to being rooted), but I see no casting button anywhere in the app, so I assume it can only be done once the video has started playback. Which I can't do, because of being rooted... @[email protected]
Use RootCloak Plus which doesn't use Xposed. It uses Cydia Substrate instead.
I'm wondering if anyone had any luck using Verizon My FIOS app on Android TV. I was able to download the app on my Samsung S7 and then back it up to an apk and then sideload the app to the Shield. The app opens up with no issues, the problem is when I try to watch any videos or live streams, it crashes.
Does anyone has a work around or a solution to this? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
It works for me, no real issues... watching the baseball game right now on it...I use ES file explorer to push apps from phone to box..app doesn't work on my Remix OS install on NUC though....
I wonder if it's possible. I'm using an apk downloaded on aptoide and it runs the first time but no luck to watch videos.
I ask because I use a bluetooth remote and the Netflix phone app does not support it. Is that a case to use "Fake Device"? Or to edit Build.prop?
