Hey so i don't know if there is already post on this, but when i connect my HOX+ to bluetooth on my 2012 Mazda 3 for streaming music, the quality isn't very great. It sounds like it's peaking a lot of the times where there would be slight sounds of crackling or static at the ends of phrase. I was wondering if anyone on here came up with a fix?
Much appreciated!

Hi everyone, I'm new here. The HTC Aria is my first android phone, and I had an iPhone before. I am having problems, the Audio quality is really really bad. It's not my music's fault cuz it's bad for everything. I am the only one having this issue or is every one having this issue. My phone is currently rooted and is running the Liberated 2.2.2 or something like that.
Was this a problem before you rooted and changed the ROM?
Also, you need to be more specific... is the problem with the loudspeaker on the back of the phone, the earpiece (talking on the phone), or when connecting something to the headphone jack?
What software are you using to play music? What headphones / speakers are you using? ( Just curious ).
With my Sennheiser HD 280 pro headphones I've noticed the sound quality isn't as good as my girlfriend's iPod or my creative Zen vision m. It's pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I suppose it's because those are two devices specifically made for playing music, while the aria is, above all else, just a phone. With the aria I usually prefer to use "cheap" skullcandy earbuds so that I can't tell the difference in quality.
Of course, your results may vary from mine.

Thanks for the Response guys! I was using the default Music player. But I am going to try CM7 now because it has the Equalizer function.
Ok guys, it's sorta fixed. I'm using CM7 2.3.4 and a Music app that was ported from MIUI. It's sorta fixed, now so no worries. Thanks for replying fast though guys.
Hey, I've seen this question asked here and there but I can't get a straight answer, especially one that specifically applies to my 3VO.
SO--I've a bluetooth headset (Samsung HM1000) and a 3VO. Can I stream music, audio from movie tracks, etc. to my headset? I've heard a lot about A2DP, and since the headset packaging doesn't mention that I'm guessing that's not a feature. Am I SoL? Any apps or root tricks to fix this?
I would definitely have paid more for a legit headset if I'd even considered that this would be a problem (my fault for assuming!).
Thanks in advance!
I stream just fine to my Motorola S9 HD and Motorola S10 HD headsets.
Sent using XDA premium app.
...those are both A2DP so it's unclear to me whether your situation sheds light on mine, as my HM1000 is (I don't believe) A2DP.
no A2DP, no streamy to your headset..
yes, you are sol...
****. Kthanks.
Try an app called bt mono in the market. Might work for you.

They didn't sound good when I had them on, but I chalked that up to the fact that they fit SO horribly and uncomfortably that they just werent sitting in my ears properly. never had that issue with the S9-HD's
Motorola really dropped the ball on those, here is hoping there next upgrade is worth it. as of right now if my s9's die I can still find them without too much trouble at a good price.
not sure how much longer that is going to be an option though.
is there a combo type BT headset that can stream music but also be used to talk when a call comes in???????
oops. I think I didnt research this first.....i guess this one does both....SORRY.

.....S9-HD!!!!
The plantronics backbeat 903 are great for music. The quality is awesome. The call quality is only good when you have a very quiet background because the mic stinks.

I have a rooted Viper 3D and I just bought the motorola S10-hd........how do i sync bluetooth. I press the BT button but nothing happens. Do I have to download anything else from the market????
Quick question about this rom or the 3D. I'm running MeanRom 2.7 and trying to stream pandora or slacker to this bluetooth headset while working around the house. Have full wifi and the bluetooth is studdering while streaming....
I can listen to anything I have on my 3d sd card and no studder but it studders while streaming pandora and slacker.
Anyone know why and if theres any fix?
I'm pretty sure it's not the rom, just something with bluetooth and streaming audio.
I disconnect my bluetooth lg and pandroa and slacker stream perfect. I then can turn bleutooth back on and listen to music and audio on my bluetooth without a problem. It's just when I stream....any clues?
I had the Blue Ant Q2 headset and I was able to able to stream music to it. It also read off my text messages to me.
Can someone please test for me? Get your Bluetooth headset and attempt to stream Pandora or slacker radio to your 3d? On 3g and WiFi please....
There are apps for that.. just search bluetooth in play store if you have a mono bluetooth it will make your music play through it. I've done it before.

Was wondering if anyone on here is using bluetooth for making calls? If so could you post what you're using? The two headsets I have aren't being recognized by my phone. Thanks in advance.

Has wonderful noise cancellation too.
What ones are you using?
I have a plantronics marque that works great

LG HBS-700 works great. Even with S Voice.
I'm sure you're looking for a headset, but figured it's worth mentioning that bluetooth calls work fine using Sync in my Ford Focus.

Hi everyone.
I am experiencing an issue with the quality of bluetooth audio playback similar to the ones in these threads.
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=39632#c158

How can I fix it?
Thank you
Lots of looks.....
Does anyone else notice the poor sound quality over Bluetooth?
A scratchy distorted sound in the high frequencies?
Am I the only one?
It happens on both my 7" & 8.9" HDX's.

Yes I do. My bluetooth lags and randomly disconnects. I've t tried with three different devices so I know it's not the devices fault.
thanks for the reply gutts

Hopefully one of the guys/gals working on moding in the other section will see this and confirm the low bitpool settings.
Hey everyone. I just wanted to point something out and see if I was the only one that noticed. This is also the same on my SGS3. The bluetooth audio quality when streaming to my car, running any TouchWhiz rom(stock or custom) on both my S3 and my Note3, was hideous. Music had this horrible reverb or echo, it sounded like it was coming from a tin can!!! You could barely hear vocals, guitars and drums (I listen mostly to heavy metal) sounded so distorted with this heavy tin can reverb. Any audiophile would pick up on this immediately. In my experience flashing roms, when I would flash any AOSP rom, CM, PAC-rom, etc to my S3, the bluetooth streaming audio was absolutely perfect, the way it should sound. It makes me wonder if its a software, driver, or codec thing. I dont know much about developing roms at all, XDA and its members have taught me how to root, flash roms and recoveries, mess with adb, but is there something that can be taken from an AOSP rom and flashed to a TW rom to make the bluetooth audio better? As of now CM and PAC-rom are all that's available AOSP-wise for the Note3 and I'm waiting for stable versions to run so I'm sticking with freeza's and sac23's roms for now. Fortunately, I didn't have to give up my S3 when I upgraded so I'm using solely as an ipod touch but waaaaaay better cuz its android

I would look into Viper4Android if I were you, I was in the same boat before I wasn't that impressed with the bluetooth streaming to my stereo with the Note 3 after having my S4. Viper has helped alot. If you need help installing it let me know.

hmmm, haven't heard of that one. I searched and it looks something like dsp manager. If it can help my bluetooth problem I'll give it a shot. I appreciate the offer to help. I'll take you up on that offer either later tonight or tomorrow. I'll give it a shot by myself first, I always try to teach myself as much as possible. Thanks again!!!!
Besides this, I've noticed another issue between AOSP's and TW's Bluetooth implementation, kinda specific to my setup. I have a Kenwood headunit in my car, and one of it's features is it's ability to directly control Pandora and iHeartRadio. For iHeartRadio, it uses a 'connector' app, which interfaces with the service.
Using this app while on Touchwiz results in most of the stations being distorted, with audio being extremely high-pitched and sped-up. The same stations, when using any AOSP-derived ROM, work brilliantly. I just wish there was a way to swap the Touchwiz BT stack with the AOSP one.

That's interesting to hear, I personally haven't used Aosp since I was on my Epic 4g touch.
