[Q] flashing and entering into rcovery mode - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

heyy guyzz this is my first thread ..........so plz help me
how can i enter into recovery mode on my lww.......
i read all the methods but i couldnt enter into recovery method
and if i enter into recovery mode how will i come to know that its d recovery mode
and flashing with cwm i couldnt find the option of "install zip rom" or sumthin lyk dat it shows that cwm is not supported for my cell
can u plz provide step b step how to flash a zip file rom and where do i get the options of cleaning all caches as i cannot enter into recovery mode and CWM does not gives me the option of flashing zip file
plzzzzzzzzzzzz helppp.................if u can provide me wid the cwm sw for sony lww
my cell is live with walkman rooted and with locked bl

Xparts
I think the easiest way is to go to the play store download an app called "xparts", install cwm with it, then in xparts select reboot to cwm, wait for the reboot and then in cwm, the fifth option is install zip from sdcard >> choose zip from sdcard >> Yes >> And It´s done I Hope this can help you

The wipes you must do depends on what you wanna do, i suggest you to look for the Op in case you wanna flash rom, you will find install instructions you can follow

Wipe data /factory reset
Wipe cacge
Wipe dalvik cache
Flash ROM from zip...
Don't wipe system... Wipe system only if the its mentioned in ROM thread....
Otherwise don't wipe system

Thnxx I wiped everything u said but after flashing after rebooting my cell has stuck on Sony Ericsson logo

Make sure the kernel you are using and the ROM you want to flash are compatible. If they are not you will either need to flash a compatible ROM or use flashtool to flash a compatible kernel -there is usually one inside the ROM or mentioned in the OP of the ROM.

I mean I want ice scream pureness v4... M currently on gb..... Do I need to get ics officially in order to get this rom.... Becoz rooting lww on ics is not successful in all cases

If your rom is ics based you must atleast flash an ics kernel (on unlocked bootloader) and if u can't unlock the bootloader, just update to 4.0.4 and then root ur phone using mihahn's awesome guide in stickies....and then flash the rom doing correct wipes,

STEPS :
1) Remember to install CWm u need to be rooted.. ROOT u phone via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695514.... alternative is root ginger bread and update to ICS through update centre(WIFI) u will stay ROoted...
2) install CWM via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559685... just download extract and start cwm2.cmd....
3)Now to enter CWM recovery when u switch on phone SONY appears just keep on pressing VOLUME DOWN key at that time u will enter CWM recovery..
to install ROM:
1) download ROM through PC and copy in memory card...UNPLUG usb reboot phone enter CWM..
firsty BACKUP phone
than remove cache partitiion
Select 'wipe data/factory reset' (MUST DO)
go to mount and format system
go to advance and wipe delvin cache
now go to install via zip and locate u ROM install and enjoy...
EASY I M NOOB TOO BUT AFTER MY EXPERIMENTS THESE ARE EASIEST U CAN GET>>>
