Hello, i just got battery i ordered for my Galaxy SII i9100 (brand new Samsung) however it's acting very strangely... It dropped from +50% to ~20% i then restarted the phone, plugged AC charger, just watched (10min later) the battery monitor app i have and it shows it went back 19% to 45% almost directly... What the hell does that means?
Already going to page 2 :/
It is normal that on first run the battery behaves a little stranger. You should let it completely run out and then completely charge. By doing what you did there is a great chance that you will ruin it.
Doing what i did..?

Hello everyone!
Firstly I am totally happy with my new Galaxy S2. But then happened something strange....
Yesterday evening I plugged in my phone and loaded it fully, I played a few games for about 1 1/2 hours and the battery was fully loaded, then I turned off my phone (and it seems that it made an full shutdown, because it turns the lights off and vibrates when it shutdown successfully).
Today in the morning I wanted to turn on my phone... nothing happened After a few tries to turn it on... I plugged it in... and see there... it loads... from 0%??!
How is this possible if the phone was shutdown all the time?!
I have original rom, nothing modified yet and there are no updates available for my phone.
How is this possible if the phone was shutdown all the time?!
No answer to that if it was a charged and shut off .

What do you mean by that? You were playing for 1½ hours and the battery was fully loaded !, or you kept it charging while playing
Regards.

I kept it charging while I was playing (it already was fully loaded at this moment) and later I turned my phone off with 100% battery. XD
In the morning it was not possible to turn it on, so I plugged it in again and it shows the loading screen with an totally empty battery and an yellow triangle. I really don't understand how this is possible..
Yellow Triangle? You are rooted right? And what other apps were you running when you turned your phone off, SetCPU or something like that?
No, I am not rooted not yet ^^
I think the yellow triangle appear when you plug in your galaxy S II and battery is lower than 5%. (When plugged in turned off)
Is it possible that gaming consumes much more energy even if plugged in? It's the only explanation for me at the moment. But this will also mean that the display of the battery don't update if fully charged and kept plugged in... mhmm.

Sorry I don't know about that. I thought Yellow triangle only appears when you are on an unsecured kernel/non official Samsung kernel, when rooted.
And while you were Gaming with charging, definitely Gaming took more battery out of your phone than the charging was filling in. But still, full drainage of 100% battery overnight is NOT normal, that's all I can say atm.
Regards.
This particular problem just happened to me. The yellow triangle in question (no photo for obvious reasons), is overlayed on top of the charging logo that appears when the phone is completely powered off.
I hoped it was my battery...not the case, like others, I believe the problem to be originating from a loose micro-usb connector. I slightly jiggled the usb side to side (very slightly) and the problem cleared up long enough to boot. It has returned and I am most displeased as I ordered from Expansys Canada and with a device I can't turn on and return to stock I am basically SOL.
Ugh, and I was hyping you guys up so much Samsung!
Your battery overheated and could not charge. When I play games and charge at the same time, the battery gets hot and I get an overheating notice. This is when you get the yellow triangle. It doesn't charge after that and I find that I have to remove the battery to get it to somehow "reset" the internal temperature sensor before it will charge again.
*kick* (since topic title fits my problem..)
So: battery nearly flat after reboot. Happened to me three times now, twice within one 'battery cycle'. First time it happened, the standard digital clock didn't refresh, so I restarted the phone. Before restart, battery was above 30%, after restart it was around 10. Afterwards, the level started climbing back towards 23 (hence, without me charging the device). Used it, so did not verify whether it would actually climb all the way back to its original level of over 30%, but the level seemed accurate because it lasted for many more hours until it reached 15%.
Last night, after a restart, batt dropped from high-20's to 8%. Because of the previous experience, I didn't charge, but let it be during the night. This morning, 8 hours later, batt level was back at 26%.. the battery graph showed a nice upward curve.
Couple of hours later, phone doesn't wake up and has switched off apparently. Startup reveals batt to be below 10% again.
Anyone experienced a similar scenario?
(Vodafone branded non-rooted GSII, PDA:KG2/Phone:KG1/CSC:KE2).
This has happened a couple of times more since then, I guess 6 times in total now. Have made screenshots of the battery level to provide an idea of what's happening, or at least, what it looks like. However, I can't post outside links yet.
Without recharging, battery level manages to climb back almost to initial level.
No-one with similar experiences? I have done no rooting, custom ROM's whatsoever.
(Vodafone branded GSII, PDA:KG2/Phone:KG1/CSC:KE2).
I was web browsing and suddenly the phone rebooted, and the battery charge dropped to the level seen in the screenshot. It's the first time happening. I'm on cm7 latest nightly with cg6.

hey guys not a noob but feel like one right now bc i have to ask this.
anyways i have a vibrant running nero 5 w/voodoo. my charger port is iffy at best. i ordered a new usb port off ebay and will be installing it once it arrives.
now the phone charges fine off, however i noticed that when im on it while plugged in charging its loosing percentage. i just finished charging it and turned the phone back on and kept it plugged in to top off the last 4 percent it had to go to 100. and when i check in settings it says 88% about 5 mins later it said 86%
any ideas?
i also did a search and didnt really find anything
I've had this issue since day 1. I've had my vibrant for almost a year now and it's never changed. It's happened on stock and all roms I've used. It seems to happen more when I'm using memory heavy apps or games. I used to play pocket legends and I once drained my battery (while plugged in) so much that I went from %100 down so low my phone died. The charger never lost connection either.
I've also had this happen while streaming tv shows to my phone & using tv out while charging.
Happens to me sometimes. I figured it was a badly calibrated battery. I calibrated my battery and it doesn't happen that much. Oh, and I've learned to not really use my phone when it's charging. Lol.
yea i bought a new battery yesterday. let it die then charged it. drained it and had probs. i wiped the stats and its off charging now sitting at about 92 percent. see how it goes

I've gone through it with the stock battery and my 3000mAz
Are you overclocked at all? Maybe set a charging profile with setcpu to lower clock and/or undervolt if you have a compatible kernel? Not sure, just throwing out ideas... Good luck, hope you get it figured out.
[SOLVED]
issue has been solved. thanks everyone
How did you solve it
it could be an app using the cpu at all times
turned the phone off and let it charge all night and that was about 3 days ago and its back to normal now. it was deff a bettery issue as i have 3 batterys and 2 extended ones and my other batteries would charge just fine. but all good to go now. thanks.
Hey All
Got 2 Feiteng H7100's and they both work perfect, except the battery
When charging, sometimes they dont charge, left them both overnight and both were only a few % higher than the previous 8 hours when they were put on to charge (this is through an iPhone adaptor 1Mah not 0.7Mah that was given, both with the chinese USB cable)
Every time the phones are restarted, the battery percentage is usually very different, can jump from 22% to 37%
Today is the first full day ive had with them, mine still seems to be on, restarted and it gave me a 62%, it is now, after a few hours at 58%, but im sure if i restarted it the percentage would either drop a lot, or increase a bit
Is this normal for chinese phones? is there something i can try? new batteries off of ebay?
Cheers,
Glen
So after some ultra heavy usage yesturday I found myself for the first time witnessing less than 10% battery on my Maxx, so I plugged it to charge as normal, around 12 ish mid night... An hour in, 1 something am, I was tired and decided to go to sleep and, as I checked on the razr, it displayed 24% charge... I wondered why it was charging so slowly, but decided to leave it charging overnight and thought it might help... As I woke up at 7:30 am, I notice it has 30% battery charge and it said it was "Charging"... As I went to settings > battery, it showed a straight horizontal green line, as if the phone was in deepsleep... It recognized it was charging, but it didn't go past 30%!!!!!! I was scared the hell off, so I removed the SIM card and put it on my back up phone (I needed the phone at the moment) and let it charge for another hour turned off before I had to go... This time, however, it did charge...thankfully... It was at 57% so I took it to school and kept charging it... Right now, its at 83%, so I guess its charging as it should (though slow as f**k)... Any ideas as to why this happened and how I can prevent it in the future?? And also as to why its now charging so slowly?? I just got this phone 2 days ago and it charged perfectly those 2 days.... Thanks in advanced!

I've had this happen a couple of times. Install "Better Battery Stats" (here's the Play Store Link), which will help you see if there are any apps causing unexpected wakelocks. If you see any, uninstall or disable the app and see if your battery starts charging normally again.
Another d'oh thing to check is making sure your charger is working OK, and you don't have a case that's preventing you from completely plugging your phone in (I did that before, too...).

Thanks for ur reply, Im gonna download the app now! Also, I'm using an HTC wall charger (for my old Evo 4G) because the phone was sold to me without any accessories or anthing. I'll look up on buying an OEM Motorola charger too. You wouldnt happen to know where I can get one without it costing me a fortune (fortune = apple prices lol), would you?? Thanks again for ur help!
EDIT: Would it be wise to purchase this charger?

The seller says its OEM... Also, I checked other sites like Amazon and that's about what they're selling for ($5 - $12).
Hello Everyone,
ive just bought a Honor 7 yesterday. updated OTA. the phone is charging very, very slow. its also decharging very quickly. like it takes 1hour to charge 10%. im using the huawei charger and cable that came with it. but it doesnt matter, charging with other chargers or at my pc is still exactly as low. so i charged the thing the whole day yesterday. i closed all running apps and went to sleep, at this point the batterie was at 97%. so after 6hours of sleep, the batterie is completely empty... theres a 128gb sd card in it, but ive already formatted it yesterday using the phone. (i did read it can drain the batterie if not properly formatted) restarting the phone doesnt help either. factory reset doesnt do anything. DOA? should i just return it?
you should change it to another. sounds like yours is damaged somehow, my battery charges 40% in hour
turn off phone and see how long it take to charge if still slow there is a battery problem, get it replaced
got a new one and its working now!
