Root LAVA IRIS N350 with SP Flash tool and Droid Root and tool.
NOTE: This can BRICK your Phone. I'm not responsible for any damage. Stop immediately if you aren't familiar with Flash files, ROM's etc.
I've successfully got access to the root of LAVA Irirs N350.
Tools Needed:
1. MTKDroid root and Tools
2. SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1224.01
Drivers Needed :MediaTek-1.1123.0
Let's Start:
Step 1. Make a Scatter File:
Open MTK Droid Tool and Click on Block Maps..this will pop a new Window containing some Memory address. Simply Click on "Create Scatter File" and save the file.
Step 2. Prepare SP Flash tool:
Open SP Flash Tool and Click over "Scatter Loading" and select the File which we have create din step 1. Click on Readback tab.
Step 3.Preapare ROM:
Click on the button ADD. Double click on the line and save the ROM.
#Things To notice: The filename Will be like "ROM_#". in your case probably it'll be ROM_0.
#Remember the path of the File. U'll use this file later.
Alfter Clicking Save a new Window will appear named as "Read Back Block Start Address"
Windows Settings Will be as below
Type: Hex
Read Method:Read Page Only
Start Address: 0x0000000000000000
Length:0x12BA0000
Step 4. Readback ROM:
Click on Read Back button and connect the switched-off phone to PC.
Follow these Steps Carefully.Once Rom is Created you can use it in future. On success you'll see a BIG GREEN CIRCLE embded in a message box.
Step 5. Prepare files for FlashTool and make CWM:
Open the MTK Droid Root & Tools window which we left on 1st step.it is necessary to turn on phone and to connect it to the program. Click on To process file ROM_ from FlashTool button and choose the ROM_* file saved earlier. At successful unpacking rom it will be offered to choose CWM from similar phone. Chosen CWM it is checked on compliance to the connected phone and if ok, the CWM is created.
MOTE: A new scatter file and other neccessary files are created in the backup folder in droid root & trool program's directory.you'll need the files in the next step.
Starting with v2.4.0 CWM it is made automatically and the file from similar phone shouldn't be looked for any more!
Step 6. Download new CWM to the phone:
Start FlashTool, choose scatter in the folder created on the previous step. Remove marks from all blocks! Click on RECOVERY and we choose the file CWM in the same folder which was created on the previous step. Click Download and connect a cable to PC (phone has to be switched off) and expect the end of process.
DANGEROUS! On this step the CWM recovery block has to be marked only! Also it is necessary to use only the Download button and not to use at all the Firmware Upgrade button!
Summary of step 6:
--> Click on Scatter-loading.Select Scatter file from the backup folder.
--> Make Sure all the checkboxes are unchecked. Only the Checkbox labled as Recovery should be Checked.
--> Click Exactly over Recovery.
--> It will ask you to select a file. Now select a Recovery file created in step 6. Tt must be inside backup folder named as "Recovery_###.img"
--> Click Button Download.
--> Connect SWITCHED OFF phone.
Message bog with a green circle shown? it means all done.Exit.
Step 7. Install Superuser.
Load phone in CWM mode, connect to MTK Droid Root & Tools, go on the tab root, backup, recovery and, pressing on this tab the necessary buttons, we do:
- install superuser (often mean "get root" under it)
You have a Rooted LAVA N350. :good:
Once Again: I'm not responsible for the any damage. Do it at your own risk.

friend ,
when I started mkt tool ,on right side message box promte that un-identify rom i.e rom cannot be create.
avoiding this i'm proceed to next step.
step 4 is not successfully done i.e it not proceeding.

[Q] How to Root ZTE V793

Anyone can help will be very much appreciated.
It is this model = http://www.lelong.com.my/zte-v793-a...alcatel-hidamari-129512382-2014-05-Sale-P.htm
I also have this phone and still looking for a working method to root it. Please share the info if you know. Thank you.
ZTE V793 rooted
rooted my zte v793 successfully
i used the SP Flash tool to obtain scatter file and use that file to modify CWM from zte blade using MTK Droid tools. Then i flash the recovery image to the phone using SPF tool.
then using CWM, i flashed Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox_1.20.2-Update1-signed.zip to the phone.
Then i use Link2SD and partitioned my sdcard to offload files from the meagre 100MB limitation
i will put the detailed procedure and the customised CWM for v793 if that's needed so you don't have to mess around with those files.
thanks

edit: I also in need of usb driver for this phone because whenever I switch off phone for Flash tool, my XP laptop always ask for drivers of which I don't have.
Thank you in advance. I'll wait for your files and guidance to do it. :good:
Dear all,
my method ultimately becomes obselete now. to root, you can just use one of these 2 methods:
1. Ishuaji
2. e-root
the supersu included is in chinese, so you might need to flash CWM to change to english supersu.
as for flashing CWM, you can find tutorials using Mobileuncle.
thanks!

1. zte_mtk6573_drivers_cdc+vcom+adb_v1.1136.0.zip
USB VCOM driver. needed when you want to flash the phone (This is when you strip the battery off the phone and connect it to USB). this driver is unsigned, so for win8 users, pls google how to install unsigned drivers.
2. SP Flash Tool v3.1216.05.7z
Flashing tool. you need this to flash the custom CWM attached.
3. MT6575_Android_scatter.txt
Device-specific memory map. we need this to tell SP flash tool where to put the custom CWM when flashing.
4. ZTE-V793_130615__recovery_130802-123951.img
Custom CWM generated from my phone (ZTE V793) bought from Happy Mobile (DiGi) under SKMM package.

3. Flash custom CWM
4. Install Root & Busybox zip file using CWM

1. Download all related files
Pretty self explanatory. Download and extract all files.
First, download and install USB Driver:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/f7h1f7i7skggmtg/ZTE+Driver.rar
2. Install Driver
We need 2 drivers to be installed:
- ZTE_Handset_USB_Driver.exe
- JoinMe_for_Android.exe
the Joinme driver is needed when flashing custom CWM. However, it didn't work for me. so I installed zte_mtk6573_drivers_cdc+vcom+adb_v1.1136.0.zip manually. To install it, remove battery from phone, connect to usb. Wait for computer to start searching for drivers, select Browse for drivers and select the vcom drivers downloaded.
3. Flash custom CWM
1. Open Flash_tool.exe from SP Flash Tool v3.1216.05 folder extracted earlier.
2. Click "Scatter-loading". Select "MT6575_Android_scatter.txt" that you downloaded earlier.
View attachment 2159248
3. Click to deselect ALL checkboxes in the list. ONLY TICK RECOVERY.
View attachment 2159266
4. Double click on the word RECOVERY and select "ZTE-V793_130615__recovery_130802-123951.img" downloaded earlier
View attachment 2159267
5. Click Download. A warning will pop up "Not ALL images are correctly loaded blah blah blah". just click Yes.
View attachment 2159283
6. If you see below the application, it will say "Searching" next to NAND. Time to plug in your phone. DON'T FORGET TO REMOVE THE BATTERY BEFORE PLUGGING IN YOUR PHONE.
View attachment 2159284
View attachment 2159285
7. Now you're done flashing, it's time to boot into CWM. Unplug the phone from USB. Put on battery. Press Vol+ & Power Button simultaneously. When ZTE logo appear, RELEASE ALL BUTTON.
8. Let's hope you boot straight into CWM
If you have this, then CONGRATULATIONS! you are now a step away from root!
4. Install Root & Busybox zip file using CWM
1. Copy the "Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox_1.20.2-Update1-signed.zip" onto the root of SD Card on your phone as normally you would (I wouldn't elaborate since this is android 101 knowledge)
2. Boot into Clockworkmod (CWM) recovery. To do this, turn off your phone normally. 5 seconds after the phone vibrates (fully off), press volume up (vol+) and power button. Wait until ZTE logo appears, then release both buttons.
If you do this correctly, you will see "CWM v 5.5.0.4 for ZTE V"
to navigate, use volume up (vol+) & volume down (vol-). to select, use power button.
3. Select "install zip from SD CARD" > "Choose zip from sdcard" > Look for "Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox_1.20.2-Update1-signed.zip". REMEMBER: Navigate using volume button, select using power button.
then, confirm by selecting "Yes - Install Root_Superuser_" and pressing power button.
when completed, go back to main menu and select reboot.
if nothing goes wrong, you will see SuperUser and busybox icon in your App drawer.
UPDATE:
12082013 - finished 4th item - install root & busybox
todo - revise SP Flash tool version

Rooting/Unrooting and custom/Stock recovery without SP Flash Tool noob friendly

Ok I am posting a simple tutorial to Root your Canvas HD and flash Custom Recovery without using SP Flash Tool. Sometimes it is very difficult for newbies to get proper driver and correct version of SP flash tool. Some users scared to use SP Flash Tool. So here is the solution.
Requirements:
1. Canvas HD of course
2. Framaroot application
3. Root Checker to check if your device is Rooted or not.
4. CWM v6.0.3.3 OR CWM v6.0.3.0 OR TWRP v2.5.0.0 or TWRP v2.6.3.0 or CWM v6.0.4.0 (Touch Based) or CWM v6.0.4.0
5. MobileUncle MTK Tools v2.9.8
Procedure:
1. Download the Framaroot application form the above link and transfer it to SD card
2. Now go to Settings>Security and put check mark on Unknown Soruces
3. Now use file manager and browse to the location where you have placed Framaroot Application
4. Install it and open it. Now Select "Install SuperSU" and hit Boromir.
5. Now go to Play Store and search for Super User and install it after opening it might ask to update SU.bin, hit yes and then "Normal"
6. Reboot your Device.
7. Check with Root Checker, if your device is rooted or not.
8. If it is rooted, download MobileUncle and install it, remember it require root access to work properly.
9. Now download any custom Recovery i.e. CWM or TWRP from the above link and rename it to recovery.img and place it in the root of SD card.
10. Now open MobileUncle and tap on Update Recovery it will automatically search the img file, you just have to select and confirm it. Then it will ask to boot your device into custom recovery tap on yes.
11. Your device would be booted into custom recovery.
Congrats your device is now rooted and flashed with Custom Recovery, now you can flash any custom ROM and now you have full control over your device.
How to Full Unroot and flash stock Recovery:
1. Download this stock Recovery file.
2. Rename the file to Recovery.img and place it in the root of SD Card.
3. Now open MobileUncle and tap on Recovery Update, it will search the file by itself, you just have to select the file and confirm.
4. It will then ask whether you want to boot into recovery, if you want to confirm you can tap on yes otherwise its not required.
5. Now open SuperSU and go to settings, scroll down to Full Unroot and tap on it. The process would be finished within 1 or 2 secs now you are on Stock v4.2.1 that too unrooted.
Now your warranty is intact you can go to service center for any help from them
Very Important: I am just trying to help you guys, I am not responsible for anything that might go wrong, follow this tutorial at your own risk.

What kind of changes are you talking about? If you are talking about the changes which you have made through Gravity Box and other modules of Xposed framework then you should just uninstall the Xposed Framework.

xolo a510s

please some one help me root my xolo a510s. dont recommend frmaroot i have tried its not working on my firmware..... please help me root this phone
Rooting Xolo A510S
The method is very simple and you will have your phone rooted within no time, if you follow my instructions closely.
This method involves the use of a tool called, “Cydia Impactor”. (Yes, it is developed Jay Saurik, the brains behind Cydia).
Before we begin, make sure you have installed all the drivers for your phone.
Step 1 : Connect your XOLO A510S to your pc using the USB cable.
Step 2 : Enable USB Debugging on your XOLO A510S.
Navigate to Settings > Developer Options.
Tick to enable USB debugging.
USB-Debugging-Stock
Step 3: Extract “Impactor_0.9.14.zip” to a suitable location.
Step 4: Execute “Impactor.exe”
SS1
Step 5: Click “Start”
Make sure the option “# drop SuperSU su to /system/xbin.su” is chosen.
SS2
The application will start the root process and there might be occasional prompts on your handset, allow the installation on your handset.
Step 6: Enjoy your rooted “XOLO A510S”.
P. S. Always remember if you are asked to update the su binary when running the SuperSu app. Always choose the normal installation and not the CWM/TWRP recovery method. It will break your root and no method will be able to give your root back. You will have to flash your complete firmware again and start over.

The last week I had a similar issue stuck on KARBONN logo.
I used Stock from XDA Firmware xdafirmware.com/karbonn-mach-five
Download the necessary drivers (a must) .
The downloaded compressed file will have SP flash tool with it .
1 .Open "flash_tool.exe" under "\SP Flash Tool v5.1516" folder (with admin privileges) .
2 .Navigate to the "Download" section .
3. Click on the "Scatter-loading". Browse "MT6582_Android_scatter.txt" under "Firmware" .
4. Now this will give you a list of files to flash that comes from the "\Firmware" folder . Make sure every files load correctly to the list(location can be seen to the right of the item to be flashed) . Especially "Android" which correspond to the system.img file in the \Firmware which I think which actually solves the android system related files' problems.
5. Now Power off your phone .
'''Wait for a sec ( many people advice removing the battery for a while).
6. Now click on the Download sign in the SP flash tool window . Connect your phone with the USB cable immediately and click on the volume up or down for SP flash tool to detect your phone. If the phone gets detected SP flash tool throws some info on the left pane. Then the files will start flashing . Flashing status is provided by a yellow bar at the bottom of the window.
7. After the flash is complete a green ok popup.
8. Boot your phone to recovery and Wipe the cache partition.
9. Restart the phone.
This worked with my MACHFIVE . Wishing you luck :good:.
*Flashing always have a risk of bricking your phone. Think twice before you act . I will not take responsibility.
*Always take any errors in SP flash tool seriously and consult expert advice before continuing
*Even if you are stuck on boot if you have enabled USB debugging you can use adb pull to pull your data from memory.
