hiiii...
i would like to ask how to install stock rom from sony ericsson after installing one of the custom rom provided by xda.....???
Well if you are talking about having eclair installed along with your custom ROM just like a dual boot then you need to have a backup of the stock ROM along with your custom ROM in your SD card. Then you can switch between the roms via x recovery. You wont be able to.get a perfect dual boot but that's the closest to it. You will also have to have an idea about the baseband compatibility. For example the stock eclair rom works on .54 baseband just like z's beta 4.I hope that helps you out.

Make a simple ftf file in FlashTool to change baseband only to go with the Xrecovery, you will not loose data.
no no not dual boot...
just to make my mobile like factory setting...
Use PC companion or seus or flashtool
hi, recently i have installed some MIUI rom on my neo v, and was working perfect. but i wanted to go back to the stock roms, but i had a problem, and it was that it would take about 2 hours for every percent (using flashtool) !!! so i tried changing kernels, and the problem presisted, until i dont know how, i removed the kernel, and i couldn't install one again cuz it said that for doing so, i need to root my phone.
so basically, i have a phone without kernel and rom! can anyone help me fix it?
You don't need to root your phone to flash kernels. Flash kernels using fastboot. Do you have a nandroid backup?
Flash a stock ftf, sounds like you might have relocked your bootloader

well im only trying to flash a stock ftf, but im having the problem i said before!
and i have tried to do it in locked and unlocked bootloader, but there was no difference!
how many pc programs are there that can flash a rom?
is there any that can flash MIUI or CM roms (i mean zip ones)?
Flashtool for flash firmware like FTF file or flash kernel.
Fastboot for flash kernel only.
CWM for flash ROM through SD Card.
If u want revert back to stock.u will need FTF file and the right one flashtool...tick no verification final.
Sorry for my English

Message about root, when flashing kernel, refer to locked/unlocked BL.

well as i said, i wanted to flash a FTF rom with Flashtool, but it would take too long, and i was afraid that my battery charge drains, so i stopped it.

I'll attempt helping
Let's start with flashing a Stock ftf. U have one already. Use flashtool and do all as instructed. Untick Final Verification. Even if it is 2 hours per percent, just let it run. Perhaps your PC is slow.
And don't worry about battery running out. Did you know that when using recovery, if you remove the battery while the phone is still plugged into the computer, it won't turn off? It should be the same when using flashtool. Don't worry about battery
Once done, boot up your phone to check everything is done. If this worked, PM me, and I'll guide you through a MIUI flash.
You're welcome
1 more thing. Redownload the ftf. Maybe it is buggy.
Hey bro.
Is it fixed? Please let us know
sorry for being late to response!
good news, i fixed it! I dont know why i didn't try it sooner, but i tried flashing it with another pc, and it worked!
now i want some good roms for it,preferably based on JB. what are the bests out there?
BTW, Jass, your theory about "infinite battery while connected to pc" didn't turned out to be true, and it made me buy a direct charger! so please do not do this at home, school or...
when flashing ftf roms check in log to see if it gets stuck in this message [Ending Flash Session] (cuz it wont continue flash anymore)
if yes
plug out the usb
restarst your computer
try different usb ports

Hi, I came from 2.1 baseband M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015. I rooted my x10 mini pro, installed cwm and after that I installed CM7 mini, and now the phone is stuck on the sony ericsson logo. How can I revert this? Is there any metod of flashing original software through windows instead of the recovery on the phone itself?

Which ROM did you choose? If you chose MiniCM7 by nAa it won't work on the stock kernel. You have to either flash a ROM that states to work on stock kernel, or flash the kernel that is recommended by the ROM you chose.

If you want to taste GingerBread, go with BPaul's MiniCM7Pro ROM, install it the way you installed MiniCM7, but that one will run on stock kernel. Only downside is that it's a bit slow.
You can speed it up a bit by using These modules.
When you've donwloaded the ROM, open it up with 7-zip or Winrar (don't use the windows native way, it will mess up the proper compression, rendering the ROM unflashable), then navigate to /system/lib/modules and replace the ones in there with the ones from this zip.
After that, install it through CWM onto your phone. Good luck

This is true, didn't think about that. The thing is, on the custom kernel used with MiniCM7, CWM is built-in, so there is no need for it to be in the ROM. that is why you lost it. You should be able to just install it again though, but maybe it's best to do a repair with SUS or PC Companion first and then go though the steps again.

You're on the SE logo when you boot up the phone, so you CAN do everything with it in regards to repairing firmware (SUS is Sony Update Service, used to be SEUS, Sony-Ericsson Update Service).
And don't be a ****, you've opened a thread here for your problem, and you're getting help, so there is no need in posting the same question again in a different thread.

As long as you don't mess with the bootloader and custom kernels, there is no chance of actually bricking this phone beyond repair There is always a way out.

Take the steps you took to install CWM and then follow my directions in post #4
Hello guys, please forgive me if any of this has caused the slightest troubles to you
So,
i just rooted my phone a day ago and installed clockwork mod too...
i am a total newbie and don't know anything about this.... So i went searching for some custom mods for my sk17i or Xperia mini pro...
And i found one on this site http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102979
So then i installed it from the instructions given on most of the websites... i had a kernel of 4.1.b.0.587 on the phone and i don't even know much about flashtool...
Now the rom is installed or whatever it is but the UI has completely changed and it's not like the pics on the site... It's just completely black... And the worse part is that i can't even access my settings menu on the phone... So now i am blocked from doing anything... i cant even start usb debugging and take off the root....
please tell me some roms for the phone or any other way this can be undone...
Oh and btw i also tried installing some roms from http://get.cm/?device=mango because i thought cyanogen is pretty famous...
But none of them gets installed... and i even tried placing them as updates but no luck :crying::crying:
please help... thank you so much

Hmmm....okey, for you info, those custom mods are for CM10 Roms ONLY and i believe you haven't flash CM10 Roms FIRST before you flash those mods...you can't use those mods on STOCK ROM (GB and ICS)...its designed for JB rom only....No wonder your phone got black screen...you trying to flash some mods that isn't COMPATIBLE with your roms...you need to flash STOCK Roms back if you want to fixed your problem...
for you second question...did your phone BOOTLOADER is Unlock??? if is not then sorry you can't CM Roms without unlocking the Bootloader first....CM Roms mush use CUSTOM KERNEL not STOCK KERNEL and after Unlocking you Bootloader then you can flash CUSTOM KERNEL and CM Roms...

As far as I know, the kernel should be in the rom.zip (it's the boot.img). Extract it and flash it using flashtool or the fastboot tools
Otherwise search for a kernel for android 4.2.2 in Dev section and flash that one. Should work too
Sent from my Nexus 4 running Android 4.2.2
One thing to remember is, before flashing a custom ROM or MOD, ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP.
To be on the safer side, backup every week or so and keep the last two or three backups.

Your phone got almost bricked,No it didnt, First thing before installing a custom ROM clear your system, data, cache partition..did you do that?
ok so you have CWM installed..follow this exactly
Start CWM by pressing vol down when your phone starts up,Select Mount USB Storage under mounts and storage, connect phone to pc,transfer ROM zip file to sdcard then
format /system ,/data,/cache ,now select install zip from sdcard and select your ROM zip file from sdcard
Reboot System..
You should be clear now..
Hope i helped..
Regards..
PS :Certain CM ROMS can be highly unstable so i recommend checking out the bugs and everything before you flash a CM rom..otherwise ICS is always smooth and stable..and have got a lot a lot of mdpi roms on xda..thanks to devs..
EDIT: if u r on a stock kernel, then unlock your bootloader by following steps at unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com then flash a custom kernel that supports JB..look over at the index thread created by predator at the dev section..
then follow my steps above..
DO NOT FLASH CUSTOM JB ROM ON STOCK ICS KERNEL.IT WONT WORK.

hi! I have x10 mini e10i and want to install custom rom even if its just running on 2.2 or 2.3.
My phone is 2.1-update 1, rooted, cwm installed but locked bootloader.

Can someone make a "NEW" tutorial on how to install custom rom on locked bootloader on x10 mini e10i (not pro).

You have to use a ROM that supports the stock kernel. So all you do is download a ROM zip and flash CWM Recovery. An example is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1201116 It should work on X10 Mini BTW.

I finally installed cm6 on my phone. But i still have problem. It always restarting after the sony ericsson text (not the logo) but sometimes it can open 'til the homescreen but still it will shut down automatically.
I tried pc companion but when i try to connect my phone, its just restarting all over. I thought if I would install a custom rom, it will repair the phone.
What's the difference between flashing the phone via pc companion and installing custom rom via cwm recovery?

Flashing the 2.1 FTF with flashtool will reset your whole phone and it should fix your problem. If it doesn't, it means that you have a hardware problem.
can you give me a link of 2.1.1.A.0.6 tft for e10i?

You can use the 2.1.1.C.0.0 ROM. It was an update for the x10 mini pro in certain areas, but it will run on the x10 mini too, since there is no hardware specific stuff in the ROM itself. You will probably lose root and cwm though when you flash it.
I've got an 'undressed' 2.1.1.A.0.6 I made for myself in zip-format which includes root and cwm, but i took out all the google stuff, so there's no market in it.
If you want to know if your phone is ok, just wipe everything and install the 2.1.1.C.0.0.
