[Q] remics-ux problem with camera and gyroscope - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

Well, in first of all, sorry for my English (I'm spanish, but i think this is the best forum for android topics). I've installed the remics-ux 2.0 rom in my yp-g70. Is the first time I have something with android and is the first time i've installed a ROM. It works so fine, but there are two big troubles. The first is that I cannot use the camera and my accelerometer don't works. Is there any solution? Or there is a ROM where all work fine? Thanks for your attention. I'm a little rookie in this world, sorry

And there is no roms based in 4.X.X android with everything working?

not yet...

Make sure you have read the op completely before installing any rom. They specifically list things working and things not.

Well, it's a pity that there is no android 4 full working rom... I've installed the stock ROM cause I want my player working at all. Anyway, do you recommend me a great GB based ROM? Thanks so much!

[Q] Custom ROMS vs Stock

Do all Custom ROMS for all the positive features they may bring always result in less stabililty than a Stock ROM?
I imagine CM7 to be the best....seeing as he works for Samsung also. I certainly found it the best when I had the I9000/Galaxy. However looking at the CyanogenMod forum there are plenty of people raising issues with the builds (including 'stable' builds).
I really enjoy trying different ROMS usually but I am deliberately sticking with a rooted stock at the moment - and it has never froze, crashed or rebooted itself yet! I do miss fiddling with my phone though!
Thoughts/opinions appreciated.
Thanks

Yes.

If you want a stable rom, then use the one in my sig. Oxygen is amongst the most stable roms that are out here. It's almost bugfree, because the creater of the rom, Adam G is a perfectionist.
You have no touchwhizz, just stock android that works. If you are looking for a shiny rom, then this one is not for you. If you want a stable rom and an almost bug free rom, then this one is for you.
ps you won't find this rom on xda, because he does not want that anymore.
Samsung Galaxy SII
try this combination...
*CheckROM Revolution HD v3.1.1 (fast and lite)
*Speedmod-kernel-s2-k2-18-test8-CWM.zip (best battery life)

I don't know if you can say that. It has some coding from CM, drivers etc. But it is supposed to be a stock android rom, the way google intended it, with (almost) no CM stuff.

[Q] Is there any ICS Rom Full Working without any problems?

Hi

Nope,
AFAIK there is no ROM out there that has running Camera! Neither Wlan Hotspot.

Anything that is not working on FXP CM9 like camera, hotspot etc....still waiting for solution
FXP127

yes there is a ICS ROM 4.0.4 working fully and very smoth only that camera is working still only on 6mpx and not in 8.1
remyICS, AOKP and xperia s port are the ones that I know that have less flaws, with the working camera at 6mpx.
I'm using Xperia S ROM
and only relevant issue (in a simple view) is camera
the other are little bugs of the rom in general, nothing catastrophic
im heading to MIUI v4? doenst look like ics but it is^^
edit: no camera and usb storage sry

Yes sir. CM7 the best. Is the most bug-free/fast/stable rom. CM9/10 just for playing with new android os.

Did you install the correct version of the firmware for your device? If you have a physical home button you need to install the International version. If you have a capacitive home button you need to install the USA version.

Well I recommend my ROM, but you could say I'm a bit biased. GB ROMs are the only ROMs to have a working camera. Most ICS ROMs now support Bluetooth, but the JB ROM is pretty much for developers only at this stage because a lot of stuff is broken. Currently ICS ROMs are the best way to get stable-ish performance whilst getting loads of new features. Just take a look in the development forum for a RM that you like the look of

Evervolv 4.3 - alpha

Hi all, As I said, here comes the first version of android 4.3 for the x10. This is based on the evervolv ROM.
The binaries can be found in evervolv 4.3 folder.
https://www.wuala.com/CMX10-Releases/?key=CMX10Team
BUGS
NO CWM delivered with kernel
NO CHARGEMON
The WLOD that because famous with android 4.3
Maybe a lot more.
Install
Copy ROM on your SD card.
Wipe Data and Cache
Get into CWM and install ROM.
Flash the kernel.ftf using flashtool
This is an early version, I might not have time to work on it a lot. If someone wants the sources before their released, PM me.
Scritch
PS: Forgot the little disclaimer.
No warranty about this. I can't be blamed if somethings goes wrong or if phone is damaged. Use at your own risk.
Hi
Nice to see You again on X10 forum. I always liked you ROM. I hope this will be good too. Now downloading and check how it works

Unfortunately still the old 2.6.29.
Good job! But unfortunately we won't be able to achieve the smoothness we want if we can't get out of kernel 2.6.29.
Great job and nice to see you back

Hey
Yes I got it... "just" have problems with display drivers... As scritch released his 4.4.3, I will work harder to make the kernel working... hopfully 4.4.3 bugs would be solved with it...

There's some pretty cool version of JB. The CM10 now has every thing except hardware video encoding/decoding. Everything else is working nicely.
CM10.1 and Everolv 4.2 and 4.3 have an issue with the kernel. But I can't manage to fix it. So we've been working on newer kernel, 2.6.32 but it has a camera issue. And we're trying to port a newer kernel, but it's not that easy.

Thanks guys, thanks for all your hard work in bringing 4.2 and (now) 4.3 version to our great x10 phone. It's been a great experience with this phone and with great ROMs by great Developers... Thanks a lot guys from all X10 users.
I really hope and wish this 4.3 ROM to be successfull and you people can able to get Linux 3.x kernel working for us..:good::good:

Yeah WLOD, like for the 4.2.2, it's a shame, otherwise I like the Rom.

Yeah, only place when You change something with GPS options is "Location access" in "Personal"
Some other options i cant find - for example i cant change icns on status bar - wifi, sync or something else - i dont know chow too change it ;p
But ROM can be nice in the future i like it too in alpha stage its better then other in beta ;p
One more thing - is it possible to restore USB charge or something like this to kernel? Becouse i read You remowe this options from source code and from 4.X kernel we cant use other then Sony charger - i have Philips charger for 2 phones but cant use it.
