[Q] Apps2SD App Inquiries - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Dears,
I have Xperia mini pro "Rooted" and I tried Apps2SD app and it is an amazing app but I need your help about some info cause I am a newbie in root and these stuff…
1. How can I get the app back normally to the internal memory!?
2. After I used the app with some apps, it showed me some errors but the transfer to the ROM is done.. Is it normal!? If it is not normal so how can I undo this action!?
3. What is the function of the button Disabled/Enabled!? What it enables and What it disables!?
4. My status in the app is the below..
ROM Free: 71.01 MB ROM free AR: 71.01 MB
User Free: 131.64 MB User free AR: 131.64 MB
I want to know regarding the above status if I will face any problems soon or it is fine and I want to know what the maximum or the minimum for my ROM and if this app is affecting my ROM negatively by anyway or not!? And if yes, so tell me how can I fix it!?
5. Will I receive updates normally for apps which have been moved to ROM!? And if yes, Will I be able to uninstall the apps or move them back to internal memory normally if I want to!?
6. Free ROM means faster device or Free user means faster device!? “I really care so much about my device performance as I am a gamer and I always use Multi-Tasks & I am not sure if what I am doing now will make my device’s performance better or not.. I need your advice guys!
7. Last thing & I am so sorry if I annoyed you with these amount of questions.. If I want to uninstall the Apps2SD app after I used it with some of my apps, Will the moved apps to ROM be affected or not!?
Thanks in advance & I really very much appreciate your support.
Best Regards,

Get control of flash memory

I am using an O2 XDA I installing XDA-developers. I am so confused of how to manage with the Flash memory. The XDA-developers has many programs that maybe lower the speed, and I just want to delete some. Please help!!!
Thanx
Only s/w in RAM may slow the speed ... any s/w in ROM doesn't count
Thanks, And another question: Sometime I can not delete a file (eg: Arial.ttf) nor uninstall a s/w. Is there any solution?
manythanks
if it's in the rom then you cant
rom mean read only memory
and much of the os is placed there
a xda1 have 64MB ram and 32MB rom the rom cant be used to place stuff in at run time and the device cant use it as work memory

HELP, memory is way low and cant uninstall

Hey all, need some help. For some reason I am not able to uninstall some apps. I get a message saying it cannot be uninstalled but would I like it to still be removed from the app list. Example, I have PocketCM 2.0 and 2.1 both installed and listed on my apps list, but I cannot uninstall the 2.0 version. (or the new one for that matter cause I tried that as well)
My memory sits at:
MAIN
Storage
total 166.41
used 73.66
free 94.74
program
total 46.00
used 41.14
free 4.86
I need to remove some apps, but cannot. Also, is there some special trick to remove apps installed on the storage card rather than main memory? And do the apps installed on the storage card effect in any way the program storage on the main memory?
I am runnign DCD 2.3.2, does anyone recommend moving up to a new ROM thats stable and clean?
Thanks!
Hopefully you have enough RAM free to install a util such as dotFred's Task Manager to then run and close running processes.
Your problem is that you are attempting to run too many apps at once. You have to learn to conserve RAM and only run what is necessary.
Beyond that, you are using what's now considered a rather dated OS ROM so the timing may be good to choose/build another for your phone.

Agreed. Flash new radio and rom and then install cabs to your new preferences. I do the same with my laptop once a year and they last much longer, run much faster, and are more reliable. It also forces you to do backups on your files.

[Q] How to disable App2SD in custom rom that based on CM

Dear All,
I want to remove / completely disable APP2SD inside custom ROM that made base on CM7 or CM6.
this is CM'APP2SD not regular app2sd. yes, its mean "CyanogenMod's apps2SD"
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Apps2SD
I have search the forum, including forum outside XDA, take me approx. 1 hours a day and almost 2 weeks and still can NOT find any clue or instruction to remove it.
If "maybe" I missed and somebody already asked and answered? my apologize.
I want to use Link2SD only, coz link2sd have more manageable option in the way to move apps to sdcard.
So i can decide which apps that still fully stay internal and apps several time used which i decide only app (not dalvik) put in sdcard and rarely used fully store in external/sdcard
App2SD can not do like this
So, Please Kindly help me
thanks n brgds
Try to delete it via Root Explorer.
Well u can still leave it on your phone.Just assign all aplications to be installed on your internal storage.

[Q] Motorola XT530 (2.3.5) Rooting querries

I am a Noob, so bear with me.
I went through many threads regarding XT530. links are
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1218506&page=2
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1271114
the first thread is said to be root XT530 (2.3.5 based) but the title goes for XT316(2.3.4). So i am a bit worried if thats alright or i got wrongly redirected over there. Moreover, the links for the files weren't working, so i need links for the files needed (like Google GMS pack).
the second thread says it will root the current android version, but i need to ask if that would install Google GMS services automatically or i need to download that pack externally.
PLus i need a few basic questions if anyone bother to answer:
1. I got just 19mb to 25mb as my internal memory constantly. i mean, i dont think i would get more than 35mb of internal memory even if i remove all apps installed. is it normal?
2. would i be able to shift apps to SD card after rooting?
3. can i overclock my phone? and if yes, what is the maximum limit?
No ine bothers to put down a single dmn answer? :\

Hello,
I know for a fact that both uper mentioned links worked fine, but i rooted my XT530 phone using the second one.
1. It is normal 19 to 25 MB of memory if u have installed a few apps, that is becouse you have preinstalled lot of useless junk which you cannot uninstall even if you have rooted your phone. I'm hoping that cianogenmod (or some other custom rom) will soon be available for XT530, so we would be able to uninstall things we don't need.
2. You can shift apps to SD even without rooting your phone, but the trick is that most preinstalled apps cannot be shifted or uninstalled.
3. After rooting I wasn't able to overclock my phone, and I tried every cpu-tuning app available on the matrket. Again we will have to wait for some custom rom.
Hope this helps a bit.
first thanks a lot for replying.
Can you give me a good reason to root my phone if i cant do anything in the casE?

How to get more free space

Hello! I bought Xperia M4 for my older son. As this is a common problem, like many others, he ran out of free space after he installed a few apps from Google Play. I've already look across the internet to resolve this, but I didn't get the point. So, my question is: If I root his phone and we delete some bloatware, do we get more internal space for apps out of the box? Regards, Zagor
Yes, you get more space, not much but you are able to install the apps, what you really need.
You should also try moving apps to the SD Card, you'll save even more space
Root it and install link2sd.but do not link lib files.
