Does anyone use the xda app on WP8? I tried it but seems really outdated, slow and buggy on my 920. Will there be a update soon? (latest update is from 14/10/2011!)
just download boardexpress for tapatalk and you can use xda devs and all your other favorite forums.
http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/s...tapatalk/9a096f03-f1da-df11-a844-00237de2db9e
wonder why you all use apps for forums or youtube.
everything works perfectly in IE for me.
Thanks to pinch to zoom i am quite quick in reading
Still a dedicated XDA app would be better, i have use boardexpress but i just don't like the way it works. Best thing would be Tapatalk, but i only read forums of WPcentral with their awesome app, XDA is lacking on WP(8).

I think you mean Board Express for Tapatalk, a dedicated Tapatalk/XDA app would have been better.

THANKS! That was a spectacular video. I want to try that. However I worry a bit because in the comments to that video someone posted (only 3 hours ago) that Go Launcher updated its app and therefore its not possible to follow the tutorial. Not sure if that is true or not or if i could muddle my way through the tutorial but this is definitely a weekend project to try!!

My original post proves it works on the note 2. Running it now in fact. There hasn't been an update with go laucher since I set everything up so don't know what that post is about that you read. And the set up only takes about 30 minutes in my experience.
I just uninstalled go launcher and all necessary apps for this set up and reinstalled. No issues at all after following the tutorial again. Don't believe reviews or comments as they are filled with haters.

I don't know if anybody has seen this yet, but Android central just posted the camera app with photosphere. You don't need to flash this, just download and install the app and enjoy!

I would like to as I sort of miss the photoshere feature from my Nexus, but will installing this over write my current camera/gallery? I dont want to lose my current camera functionality and I sort of like the stock gallery lol..suppose I could nandroid..then install and see what happens eh
Check the international One section it's posted in apps. I have it installed on venom one and it works great.

OK installing it did NOT over write anything, I now have my regular camera and the google one..which is what I wanted!!!
Are photosphere photos blurry for anyone else?

I did notice that the one picture I took looked kind of blurry but I took it inside and it says to be at least 30 feet from what you are taking the pictures of. I haven't had time to try one outside to see if it works better.
It keeps force closing on me.

Yep. Tried it on a number of ROM and standard and it just produces blurry rubbish. I had an earlier version on a G3 and it was brilliant. Would be interested to see anybody who can produce one that looks good on an HTC one to be honest.

I tried the camera/gallery version from the 4.3 update for Google Play edition and Photosphere definitely seems a fair bit better on the HTC One, although it's still not brilliant. It's seems most likely that it is to do with the Ultrapixel camera.
There is an example of the latest version I used on my HTC One here, on Google+ : https://plus.google.com/u/0/117344384174087802750/posts/4VoHCETevbR
As you can see, it's not perfect, but it looks a lot better than any I have managed so far. Imagination/Circumstance or genuine update? Who knows.

I'm in disbelief. I cannot believe this does not get more out cries from the masses.
Even after so many updates, this feature appears to have been ignored in the mobile app. Yet, it is a cornerstone feature for Dropbox, and has been for some time.
Why does Google give so much thought to Gmail and the like, yet come out with half-baked apps like drive? It's mind boggling.

Is there a full conversion or at least half conversion ROMs for Windows 8 on Galaxy S4? I love the UI of Windows phone and open source of Android. I know i know windows phone is closed sourced. So? Call it a different name and legalize it foo. So is anyone making this and if not any willing devs or people want to help me make it? I know I'm not alone with the whole windows phone thing. So summary and less fast typing: Windows 8 phone on Galaxy S4 ROM? Also really I will make the ROM if i have help. What software makes roms? Lol noobtastic!

Well its illegal due to eula... and it doesnt use linux kernels so the chance of getting sammy drivers that work on windows kernel are slim, although you might be able to mod them from some sammy rt tablets
Also windows phone is closed source as is rt so part from having really good conectioms at either microsoft or any oem distributor od wp8 you probably wont be able to get your hands on the dev code

All you need is a good clean AOSP build(not cm or another aosp-based ROM... Real AOSP) with a good windows phone 8 launcher(Google it), contacts(Google it), app drawer(Google it), and lockscreen(Google it) to make it a MORE FUNCTIONAL windows phone.
I won't be assisting in any part of this though. I think it's the single ugliest operating system to date. With the most grandma friendly ui ever. With styling from the eighties.
But I will say, I know 100% that the apps are available because I did this same thing for a friend who plans to get a windows phone next upgrade because he was unhappy with his current phone(HTC one x that is a pos)

Because being an official tester for project elite/elite kernel, helping infamous's team with their vzw port, Google edition, blu Kuban(which I really need to get some work done on), ChameleonOS support and testing, miuiv5, and real life 50hr a week work isn't enough... lol
The windows ROM is not interesting to me at all. And frankly, it's the perfect newb Dev project. Nothing about it would be hard if you find the windows apps and find a good solid vanilla ROM. The most intense development in that project is using 7-zip.
