Hello, everyone...
So I just recently installed Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on my device...
And I wanted to root my phone, I tried many source over the internet and all attempts had failed.
I want to root my phone so I can install Clockworkmod Recovery in order for me to install update using Clockworkmod Recovery...
Please help me... I am trying to install an update that would my my S2's Gallery display grid or 3d spiral view as in Note 2...
I have that update file but I can't install it without Clockworkmod...

this kernal works best with the leaked rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877270
It will root your phone and give you cwm.
you may not see in the apps drawer because it attached to power menu. just press power to find it.

Please read around xda as well if you don't know what you are doing with regards to rooting as you can cause damage to your phone and even brick it

[Q] Need Advice..!!!

At last all these days I spent reading the posts and finally got a chance to post in here and dared to ROOT my phone.
Need advice please help me with tips how to back up my stock ROM and safest way to install custom ROM on Samsung Galaxy S II.
I know its a stupid question to ask when we can find a lot of posts online however I would need one last advice to risk it.
Thanks a lot...!!!
Thanks All.

Isint there anyone who can help me with this??
If you're rooted, and installed CWM, then boot into CWM recovery to backup your stock rom.
First picture in this thread is CWM recovery. This is where you do your backups/restore, and flash custom roms.
I tried to use ROM Manager and back up my stock ROM but getting a message "Superuser was not found at "/system/bin/su" or "/system/xbin/su"
Any advice how to fix this???

I have downloaded the superuser and installed it is asking me to update Binary from the CW Mode, bot M not able to boot to the CW mode as ROM manager is still not able to find the superuser.

[Q] Samsung Update + CWM = no update?

Hi guys,
I am experiencing a problem I dont find any answer to but which may happen to others, too.
I got my new S3 one week ago and for beginners, i didnt want to flash a whole rom. As i was coming from HD2, I wanted to give TouchWiz a chance. I used the SGS3 Toolkit though to root/busybox/cwm all, as nothing is more terrible than an unrooted phone =D.
My problem today is, that my phone just told me there is a Samsung update available to install (~91MB downloaded) and if I wanna do it now -> YES. Phone reboots to CWM and asks me if I really want to install the update, which didnt work then. My guess is, that my "original" Samsung ROM intended to use my (not available) "original samsung recovery" and cwm couldnt handle this request.
Can I create a update.zip to falsh it with cwm or is there any other possibility to flash the update WITHOUT getting a custom Rom?
Thanks allready!
Cmoe
:EDIT: I found the possibility using KIES but it tells me there might be problems with rooted phones. As I hat 4 build to chose from when rooting the phone with toolbox, is it better to first unroot it with toolbox, then appliing the update and then reroot again?
As per thousands of same posts remove root first .

[Q] Verizon GS4 4.3 MJ7 rooted + recovery?

Hi, i recently rooted my verizon galaxy s4 with software version 4.3 and MJ7 build using the chinese superuser method etc. I wanted to install a rom so i have been searching for a way to install (any) recovery but everything doesnt work! I really want to install any recovery on my phone so i can install ROMS and be safe incase i brick my phone. PLEASE HELP!!!!
Any threads that cover this issue would be helpful, but i havent been able to find one! if you have any links or downloads with instructions, that would be very helpful
Thanks

I'm in the exact same boat as you right now. As far as I know there is no recovery not the ability to flash ROMs on this phone running mj7.

Same here. I have read that Verizon is making it big time hard to root and then do anything else. Please if anyone else figures out what is being asked here, help us out.

[Q] Tried to Root w/ TWRP, didn't work.

So I Tried to root my newly acquired I717, using this method
"How To: Root AT&T Galaxy Note i717 Jelly Bean 4.1.2 " on You Tube by mooneyb123
I tried on my macbook but I wouldn't recognize the note in Jodin. So I used my Fiances pc.
I had to install keis as the video did not mention that., But it did instal TWRP, which is awesome, But when I tried to instal the CWM-SuperuserSU-v0.94 file nothing happens, it appears to work fine and says successful but when I reboot and check for Root its not rooted.
I've tried this 4 times now.
I don't know what to do next
I want to root to get rid of the ATT bloatware, and possibly overclock. I might try a stable rom like padawan later but I mainly just want to root. Is their any way to do it with TWRP? or am I going to have to go another route?
Also can I odin CWM on or do I need to wipe the device to factory first. The main thing is I don't want to brick it as I am using the phone daily.
I tried what I thought would be the "easiest" looking way to root, but since it didn't work, I need some advice.
How do i get it back to stock recovery If its not rootable? I am running 4.1.2.
I did upgrade soon after I got the device but am wondering If I could have rooted it easier on the original version of android.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
is their any way I can do it with

[Q] Note 3 Unroot back to stock rom for Original stock updates..

Hello everyone!
Okay like the title says.. I've researching these forums and the rest of the interwebs for about 4 hours and I just can't get this done..
I've rooted devices before, installed custom roms etc.
But now I have used Chainfire's Autoroot a while ago, decided to try to go back to stock rom for original updates.
So what I did was go into the SU Binary -> settings -> (complete or full) Unroot
It appearently uninstalled my SU Binary as it was supposed to I guess.
But in my download boot menu it still says it's a custom rom!
To make a long story short, is there anyone who could tell me, if possible step by step, how I can Completely unroot my device, so I can normally update from a stock rom etc.
Ooh my phone's info is:
Samsung Galaxy Note 3
SM-9005 (I guess)
Android v4.4.2
No SU Binary but still a custom rom.. (although 've never flashed anything)
Thanks in advance
I really hope someone can help me! =)
Greetings,
Thursten
