I'am using a rooted I9000 for about 2 years and now want to switch to my new i9300. There are two thinks i hope you guys can help me with:
I'm not sure which I9300 version i got, if its sprint, verizon etc.. The phone is from germany and afaik it wasn't ordered over an telecommunication provider. That's what i can tell about the phone:
build-nr: JZO54K.I9300XXELL4
AP: I9300XXELL4
CP: I9300XXELL4
CSC: I9300DBTELL1
If everything went wrong with my i9000, i was able to do a cruel repair by flashing the official 2.3, which fixed nearly everything.
Can I do something similar with the I9300 ?
Thanks in advance

1. The International S3 GT-I9300 with a German ROM http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-I9300&pcode=DBT&os=1&type=1 (please search next time)
2. You can always reflash any (custom) rom by using Odin.
So if you would flash the XELL4 Rom you'll be back to a fresh stock rom.

Hi All,
Sorry for the noob question, I recently got a SGS2, my first Android device. I'm currently on At&t in the US. I believe the phone is unlocked since it has the yellow triangle on boot up.
The phone currently has :
PDA: I9100XWKE7
Phone: I9100XXKE4
CSC: I9100XEUKD1
I would like to upgrade the phone to Andriod 2.3.4 and not wipe any data on the phone. Which PDA, Phone, and CSC firmware should I get?
Thanks for your time.

the yellow trianlge means that the phone is rooted! - in other words a custom software is installed in it.
what ROM?
answer---> what would you like? stock looking? - kitchen KH3, Cognition, vilian etc
custom?--->MIUI, CM7
themed?---->litening
and you can continue like this for long time...go to the original android development mate and check the procedure how to flash and how to use CWM i think u may have one installed if there is the yellow triangle...
then check ROM's and atached screenshots - read about thems bugs and problemss and pick one...dont be afraid u can change back or for another one anytime - but i will recomend you back up EFS folder first - there is a topic how to do so in original android thread.
i hope u will find your way
Thanks for the info Hunteres. I think I want to keep my phone stock, so I was wondering which firmware from Intratech's Official i9100 Firmwares thread I should get that would work on At&t. The phone is rooted and does have CWM installed when I bought it. When I upgrade to 2.3.4, do I need to upgrade the Phone: I9100XXKE4 and CSC: I9100XEUKD1 also?
Firmware
Get the KG5 firmware. I have been using that for a few weeks on ATT USA and its perfect. Battery life is also excellent. I have an unlocked from Clove in the UK.
CC
Any rom can be used on any carrier.
If you are getting poor signal or data speed try a different modem, there is also a thread dedicated to getting the correct AT&T apn.

is the KG5 more perfect than the KG3?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
KG3 - HAS VIDEO for Google Voice - This is the only plus - some apps do not work.
KG5 - much better battery life - all apps work - very solid build, no crashes or freezes.

Thanks for all the info. Would KH3 firmware be better than KG5 since it's newer? Do I need to upgrade my current baseband firmware and CSC firmware when I upgrade to a new kernel?

no O2 on checkfus nor sammobile............badluck
you can put O2 i9100 firmware and act dumb ?? at warrenty

Surely someone on here has the same phone and could just do a backup through Clockwork and then upload it?
Ive messed up my phone and would like

PHONE: I9100PXXKI3

Hello,
I used to have a Galaxy S2 International edition (GT-I9100). Somehow I managed to fried its CPU (!!!) and I needed to buy a new motherboard. The cheapest one (and also new) was from a shop in Canada.
They send me the new motherboard (fits and working just fine) but looking into the phone's "About Phone" menu it says that the "Model number" is GT-I9100M.
Here are the details:
Model number: GT-I9100M
Android version: 2.3.3
Baseband version: I9100MUGKG2
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9100MUGKG2-CL371789 [email protected] #2
Build number: GINGERBREAD.UGKG2
Because frying the CPU was totally my mistake (not reading the flashing instructions completely) I don't want to messed up the phone again!
And you can see the android version is pretty old!
What I want to know is if the available roms for GT-I9100 can be used for GT-I9100M.
Thank you for your time

The i9100M is just a Bell's variant of the i9100 (Canadian service provider). The only different is that the i9100M has a model name of i9100M instead of i9100. So I can imagine you can flash any i9100 ROM without a problem. After flashing an i9100 ROM, I'll assume your model number will change to i9100 (no big deal). By the way, all the information was on Wikipedia under SGS2 > Variants if you bothered to look.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Yeap, the M is for show off.

Before posting here, I made a search and figured out that I9100M is a canadian version of I9100 but I just wanted to be sure that it will be safe to flash I9100 roms.
Thank you both for your replies!

Hi everyone,
I'm in a conundrum. I've gone and soft-bricked my Samsung G3 I9300T and my attempts to flash it with various stock firmware have fallen flat. Can anyone offer me help or direct me to a thread (for dummies) for identifying which firmware would be suitable for my I9300 as I'm led to believe there are differences eg. ZSALED (Hong Kong) vs UBALE6 (Brazil).
Phone details:
Model: GT-I9300T
I've seen other threads posting AP, CP & CSC but I'm not sure how to obtain these details
I'm sorry for being ignorant. But many thanks for your time.
History of phone:
I purchased it off kogan a few years ago.
This is my first time rooting and flashing my S3 and everything's gone horribly wrong.
When I try to put it into recovery mode it will 'cycle' the Samsung Galaxy SIII title page but never reach recovery mode
I can put the phone into Download mode.
I've attempted to flash the phone with these firmwares:
-GT-I9300_TGY_I9300ZSALED_I9300OZSALED_I9300XXLEF.tar. md5
-CheckROM_V4_LG8.tar.md5 (from a thread: PM me if you'd like to know it)
-I9300XXUGMK6_I9300OXAGMK6_I9300XXUGMK6_HOME.tar.md 5
(I use Odin3 v3.04-3.09 to flash these but everytime I run into a Fail)
Hi,
Could someone direct me to a thread that'll teach me the notation of firmware. B/c I still don't understand: the meaning of the designations for PDA & CSC.
Example
Model: GT-I9300
Country: United Kingdom
Version: Android 4.3
Changelist: 2168382
Build date: Thu, 28 Nov 2013 12:07:41 +0000
Product Code: BTU
PDA: I9300XXUGMK6 (What does XX, UGMK6 mean?)
CSC: I9300OXAGMK6 (similarly, what does OX, AGMK6 refer to?)
MODEM: I9300XXUGMK6
And what's the difference between Samsung Galaxy SIII International (firmware) I9300XXEMC2 & I9300XXUGNB4? (XX means Australia, but what do EMC2 or UGNB4 mean?
Again I apologise if I irritate some of you. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Kinetik

Thanks for the reply, Darke. Would this NZ firmware still be compatible for a handset in Australia, Sydney? I'll give it a try anyway

Hello Guys Im new here. I'd like to Install different Firmware with same model (GT-I9300) on my device but
Im scare it will cause Hard Brick. Here is my device spec:
Samsung S III GT-I9300
AP: I9300XXUGNA5
CP: I9300DXUGNB1
CSC: I9300LBGNB1
Currently on my device installed firmware I9300XXUGNA5. Yesterday I rooted my device to use Custom rom but
still confused is it possible for me to install different firmware ? Like I9300XXUGNB6 ?
Yes, its posibile install any thing firmware to your smartphone, chois Odin to install firmware.
@adriansalasa: but don't go back further than MG4, otherwise you loose IMEI
