Guys I've noticed that the graphic effects on our N10 aren't nearly add good as those in my SGS2 when playing NFSMW, we don't have floor reflections, motion blur or smoke, is there a way to force them?
Take a look at this video, the game looks the same way as on the Nexus 7 while on my SGS2 it looks the same way as on the iPad (perhaps with even more effects but that may be because I have faster cars)

? What do you mean by this?

Hi
Im just wondering...how come such a powerfull phone
Cannot "multi task" with live wallpaper..
When i put LWP the phone become very slow and laggy.
I have here galaxy s and he doing fine with heavy multi task and LWP
As well.
Even with another launchers the problem remains.
does anyone else having the same problem?

Nope, I run an lwp ..several ones actually. I jump between xda, twitter, facebook, gplus, gmail, corp email and browser all day long and don't have any issues with slow downs. In fact the only time I have ever seen this phone slow down is with the keyboard on occasion in landscape mode.
What lwp are you using. Could just be a crappy coder.

No problem here.

Fast on mine too and smooth!

Run a memory optimization app, problem solved.
thanks for the replay's m8's
same...the phone become slow when put an Live wallpaper
using stock rom 154_6 rooted.
used the Memory optimization tools but no go...
I have the same issues. I just don't run a lwp any more. I use launcher pro and when.I.open.the app drawer with a lwp, its pretty bad. Same on go launcher.

I noticed this on my EVO 3d as well but not on my nexus s. So I'm assuming it has to do with the memory hog called sense and blur.

Either the people in this thread don't know what silky smooth is or their phones are better than ours for some reason. But the display at the sprint store dis the same thing. The stock launcher is already laggy as hell so a lwp makes it non issue on stock launcher. But on any other launcher, there are issues.
My EVO 3d was the same way. Pure vanilla phones seem to do better with lwp...like the LG g2x and nexus s

And this happens with the stock lwp
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
I'm running launcher pro, stock rom, rooted with some build.prop tweaks and I have the same laggy opening of the app drawer. I never contributed it to lwp. After a quick test its only laggy with lwp as the op said. Its not terrible but its not silky smooth either. Everything else is fine.

Here's a tip: STOP USING LIVE WALLPAPERS THEY KILL YOUR BATTERY. Also LWP shouldnt slow your phone down if anything it should be faster since lwp keep your cpu clock speed a bit higher.

Anything that requires resources and CPU cycles should slow things down. Albeit how much depends on many factors. Video based apps like live wallpaper especially could be resource intensive.

Dont you mean lower? Higher, in theory, would make it slower because it needs that power to multi-task for whatever reason? But then again, some of my servers run well over 200% and no one complains? Oh well............

I mean live wallpapers keep the cpu active, you fire up the screen so its already faster than the phone with regular wallpaper because it needs to continuously keep the lwp going? Idk maybe im seeing this wrong......seems like the phone using lwp should be more responsive and able to multitask over the phone with regular wallpaper since the cores have to fire up upon the screen wake.
I use adw ex with no issues.

Using seeds of life and stock launcher with no problems as of yet other than having to apply the lwp twice to show all the..."seeds"

You see this phone is just great from the start. The moment you fire it up you just know its a great phone. How the **** anyone can say its slow is behond me. The only phone where I'm not tempted to install a custom rom, on stock with root and I tell you what its a ****ing beauty, end of, final, its just ****ing great

I have always wondered this, is this to improve speed or a design flaw? You got a square and the rest of the screen goes white for a split second. And even if you use a third party browser it's the same. Is this an android thing?

Would like to ask why Samsung display is a little worst in resolution in gaming apps.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I mean the display when you are on home screen. The resolution is clear. But when in apps. The color isn't that good and resolution is bad.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I think the display is pretty good
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Well you have to acknowledge that the display has a pentile matrix which means that it has two sub pixels instead of 3. That equates to roughly 1045x588 effective resolution for thé screen.
It could also be the fault of the game itself.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Ahh. Thanks for the reply. But the color is slightly different from the iPad hd display. Anyone feels it.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
In display settings try turning off auto adjust screen tone. Check if power saving is off. Also try different screen color profiles in display settings. Default is standard, may be a more vivid color option will suit you

A lot of apps are badly ported from iDevices, and unfortunately, graphics seems to be the part that suffers most from this. native Android-apps, as far as I can see, has the sharp look I expect from this display, and compared to an iRetina display, has an almost equal quality.
The screen mode is particularly important, and should be changed if you find the colors on your display to vivid or unrealistic.
I myself tried changing to a more toned down mode, but got a weird B&W-feeling (I've gotten used to the SG3 display), and had to change back.

Hello people
Is there any way to change the frame rate of a application or game to be slower, some thing like freeze banana in fruit ninja.
I had some app in windows that did it with changing the clock slower for example one second in computer was 1.5 or 2 seconds long.
in android 4.0.x in developer optioons there is this thing for animations only.
thanks

I don't know why people love the Zoes so much, I hated the Sense gallery app, I just a nice, no frills way to organize & view my images, not give fancy slide shows for others
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Haha, I suppose that's the beauty of android - a tailored experience for everyone. I like how you can have events organized by location and I do enjoy the preview slide shows.
Zoes: I like the 3 second snap shots. They're annoying to share but a neat way to remember an experience.

"A tailored experience for everyone" - I like it! I'll have to remember that phrase especially when I'm talking to Apple users.
I'm also intrigued by the Zoes, but have some mixed feelings about them. I tried to use them to take little "action shots" but found the timing to be very difficult to get right (sometimes it seems like the interesting part happens just after it stops, or it takes a moment to focus and you miss the beginning). It'd be nice to be able to tweak the duration, which got me thinking why not just have it where you press and hold the camera button and it does video/stills until you let go? Then I thought wait, why am I doing this again, why don't I just record a short video in the first place?
Not sure what the answers are, but I like that we're trying new ideas.

I still cannot find a better exchange email and calender application then stock Sence 5

quick pic > all
If you're taking zones for grabbing still frames, you can press the camera button and hold to get burst shots. You can also take video and then grab frames from that.
