Note in ICS. Will it work on tmobile?

If i have my note on the leaked ics roms, will i be able to flash one of the tmobile modems to get tmobile 3g or 4g
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Yes, that's exactly what I'm running. I get respectable 4G speeds (6 up / 3 down). Of the 3 or 4 T-mobile modem files out there, I found 2 worked for me...then it was just a bake-off with SpeedTest.net to see which one I wanted to stick with.
Unfortunately, I couldn't tell you which specifically...once I got it working, I didn't keep the files around.

I worked the hell out of the telus, KID and Blaze radios in ICS and have found, for me, Blaze gives the best result, with KID a close second.
You can find these in the developers and general sections under threads labelled for T-Mo modems.
Does my phone have to be unlocked or can I just flash the blaze modem?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Must be unlocked first and rooted.

What if

I was researching the sgs2 skrocket and the original sgs2 and seen the biggest difference is the skyrocket has lte capability. My question what will happen if I flash a skyrocket Rom on my sgh-I77? Will it even boot and what the odds that I can gain lte capabilities on original sgs2?

please tell me you are ****ing joking.....................
Why would I be joking what does not make sense, processor, same screen same.

Do not flash a skyrocket rom on your i777. I'm not gonna flame u or write a huge paragraph about it. Just don't. For numerous reasons. U will not get LTE.
Sent from team Pirate headquarters using Beanacle ROM. As soon as he builds it.
Thank you for the info. I'm not a complet noob,I was asking because I had a captivate and you could flash sg-I9000 Rom and gain a couple feature captivate roms didn't have. I was wishing this be same situation.

the 2 phones arent even similar....
flashing a rom from a completely different device wouldnt automatically give you an LTE radio....that piece of hardware that is NECESSARY for LTE to work.

Search and you will find. I know I did lol

If you're talking about the TracFone variant of this phone that is available directly through StraightTalk, then this isn't correct. (if you meant the i9100G. There is no such phone as the i9000G)
The TracFone variant that StraightTalk offers directly is actually model number SGH-S959G. It seems that it is most closely similar to the SGH-I777, and is likely just that; a re-numbered, re-issue of that same phone (for AT&T) specifically for StraightTalk.
If I'm right, and you do end up getting this phone, then do NOT flash anything from the i9100G forum to that device. It will at best, not work and you'll have to re-flash a stock firmware for that model... or at worst, you will brick it.
That was very helpful. I've decided to just get a GSM nexus and toss a similar in it. Thank you so much tougj

Is it Safe to flash international LTE ROMs?

Is it safe? What about kernels? Thanks in advance
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
that depends, but I can tell you that it's 100% safe to use the search function before you post.
I did a base of omega 11 said no sim installed. Tried insatlling scotts patch and the modem. But no success. Will try other things later. But I am running jedi from tmobile. 2 days so far no bugs that I can see
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Sorry for not using search, that was just plain stupid of me lol.
Bern, so you just flashed Jedi?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
I am running an ATT ROM, Novella Beta from Alliance ROM. I have had no issues with it whatsoever. It is a an awesome ROM. I was running Jelly Thunder Blackout before that. Both of these work with Scott's patch. I tried Jelly Bomb for Sprint. I got it to boot just couldnt get to in encrypt. Best advice if you are going to flash anything is to make sure you always do a Nandroid back up.

Didn't do novella since Dope tried that one. Now running T mobile. Myrom- revolution. So far everything working. The cool thing about it is it comes as two rom downloads. One the rom and one for amorastyle add on. Tried the add on, on jedi and they worked on that one. Just make sure you Don't install modem

The tar file for Odin cannot be used to downgrade due to bootloader. Much like the ruu on most HTC phones won't allow a downgrade due to locks in the bootloader.

Yep....your only option would be safestrap and a few roms compatible to run with it.
safestrap enabled, Hyperdrive driven
Or root and clean it up. I did even though I hate stock. TW and Sense are both horrible. VZW and carriers make it worse with the bloat. Root, delay and freeze. I even deleted VZW apk files so I didn't have to worry about them running. I'm on straight talk though, so I wouldn't need them anyway.

Yeah, thanks. She's not very tech savvy and prefers the old look. Smh at locked bootloaders
