Keep getting Prepairing SIM card message - HTC Droid DNA

I keep getting a message at the bottom of the screen that says Preparing SIM Card. The screen will reset as if the phone just rebooted. It never says anything about not have a SIM card. It just preparing SIM card. I've tried rebooting the phone and taking the card out and putting it back in. Anyone one else have this?

Here are the options .....
1. What happens without a Sim-Card ?
2. Tried different sim card ?
3. Bad Sim-tray

I haven't taken the card out for an extended period of time. i don't have another SIM card to try either. I've seen posts of others saying that they get a no SIM card message but nothing like my problem.

I had the same error. It would always occur about one minute after a blue tooth device would connect. All signals would drop, com.android.phone would Force Close, and "Preparing SIM" would be displayed.
Factory wiped the phone, and it's been solid ever since. No more "Preparing SIM" or lost signals or com.android.phone Force Closes.
... now if only HTCDev.com would stop giving me "error 173"...

Qtek Keeps rebooting itself, without switching phone off!

I just got back from Dubai this morning, and I recieved my first call from the plane. Fine, it worked.... but then...
disaster struck!
The phone has the "no signal" message when I click on the reception icon. I've tried to click the "turn phone off" button but nothing works...
I can't get into the phone settings in the start menu to change networks...
I'm trying to back-up to SD to do a hard reset, but the phone re-boots itself every 4 minutes! The device is also very slow in responding to the commands. E.G. when I place my phone code it takes 3 seconds just to type in the number... strange! I have 48 / 64 MB free in memory and a 256 MB SD card...
I can't connect to activesync because the decive is not being recognized.
I took out the sim card and am using a crappy nokia until I get this deal fixed.
I searched the forum for possible solutions and some came close, but none popped the cherry...
Have any of you experienced this specific situation? Is there anything I can do to recover my data before hard-reseting the Qtek? I made about 30 new contacts on the recent trip and was going to sync when I got home from the airport... but the 1010 keeps passing out on me!! It's like giving a date a full bottle of Crystal Champange before hitting the bedroom... Sucks!
HELP!
Have you tried a soft reset without the sim or sd card in the xda?
From My experience, I faced this situation (very slow response) once when I selected "Calib/Debug" option by mistake from the GSM menu in the bootloader. The only solution was to do select "Reset" from the same menu but more than once. Hope that will work with you.
PS: if you didn't go to the GSM menu, forget what I said ... your problem might have another cause.

It's a long shot, but this could be dirty SIM or SIM contacts.

SIM card removed: Please reboot Airplane Mode

I own a Telus Galaxy S T959D. When I updated to Froyo through Kies I started having this problem. Whenever I turn off Airplane Mode a message pops up:
> SIM car removed
Sim Card Removed. Reboot Phone.
I've tried installing nero v5 to see if it would fix it, but same problem.
Any way this can be remedied?
Have you reseated and cleaned your sim just to make sure its truely not the sim card causing the issue?
Sent from a Galaxy S far....far....away.
Yeah. It doesn't seem like its the SIM card itself. The problem only comes up when put it in Airplane mode.
Hi akumasakana,
I'm receiving the same message, "Sim Card Removed. Reboot Phone." Have you fixed this problem? Thanks.
I too am receiving the same message and my Galaxy SGH-T959D (rec'd w/Froyo updated) was just bought/activated 10 days ago. It doesn't really seem to need a reboot as the data starts to flow again after about 1 minute after I set airplane mode off.
Can this be ignored?

Any help here?

I left a friends, pulled my phone out (non rooted and only 3 days old) and it wouldn't turn on. I pressed and pressed but nothing I did would get the phone to activate, no lock screen... Nuthin!
I pulled the battery and tried again, it booted up, twice and then the lock screen was back. When I unlocked it I went to look at my apps and noticed quite a few were listed as com.blahblahblah.android.... whatever, with no icons...
Then I went to the app drawer and looked for those apps and (see image) that's what they looked like.... When I tried to press them I got a "this app is not installed" message.... WTF?
Anyone else ever get this?
I'm going to try a factory reset and see if it happens again.
are you talking about the greyed out ones? there on ur sd card, unmount and remount ur sd card, doesnt seem to be loading correctly. sometimes i have issues where 1 rogue app doesnt load, never had it where all of them did unless it wasnt mounted
I noticed that when I plugged into my pc that my internal storage didn't show up, only the sd card.... Strange.....
windows tends to pop up a window asking if you want "fix" or error check your sd card. if you accidentally chose it, you may have to reformat it and reinstall your apps.
I guess what was most disturbing was the phone becoming non-responsive. Just wondering if my sd card going to pot would do that? Or is my phone screwed up and wrecking my sd card or some other disconnect there?

Sim card not detected

**Edit -this post is in the wrong forum - should be in AT&T One X (Evita). Feel free to delete **
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
My HTC One XL has had a problem with sim detection for a while. Occasionally it will not detect the SIM,but I could fix it by turning airplane mode on and off a couple of times. But it has become more persistent, and is now refusing to detect the sim. This is pretty annoying, as I have spend a lot of time and effort rooting etc.
If I pop the sim I get the SIM not inserted warning. If I then push the sim in, that warning disappears, but after a few seconds, the SIM detection error icon appears.
What I've tried:
It's not the SIM card. I also have a One X (quad core) and the sim works in that.
Tried the sim drawer from the other phone.
tape on the sim
nandroid restore
airplane mode cycling
Is there anything else I could try to bring this phone back to life? I don't want to root the One X, as I need an unrooted phone for certain banking apps that I use.

Sd card automatically eject, and 2nd sim card sometimes call ended

The title says it all. Heres a brief story
1st problem, i sometimes found out that my sd card ejects itself even if i dont use files under that storage.
2nd problem, i always use my 2nd sim for calls, any number i call sometimes it ended, didnt even rang on first attempt. I didnt encounter this on my samsung phone..
The 2 problems mentioned can be solved by restarting the phone or in 2nd problem sim card can be solved by turning on airplane mode and turn off..
Is this a bug on color os? And i hope theres a solution for this because its the micro problems that is just irritating..
And i wonder if its because of my simcard tray insertion that it affects its reading for sd card and simcards.. But the fact that the phone reads them means it was inserted the right way..
