Hi guys, i'm just a newbie on android phones and rooting phones, recently I have just bought a SGS3, and I have rooted it following the instructions on a thread on CF-auto root, and I have successfully rooted my phone, and I used an App called Freedom, which enables me to buy golds or coins in apps for free, and after awhile, I unrooted my phone, but after that, I cannot access Google Play, it says no connection, I think I was caught by Google Play for buying golds or coins for free. I have unsyncing my account, and creating a new one, but when I create new accounts or logging in, it always says "can't establish a reliable connection to the server. this could be a temporary problem or your android device may not be provisioned for data services. if it continues, call customer care." BTW, I have checked my connection, and it works properly. Can anyone help me with my problem? Thank you
reflash generic firmware
Try to go to Tools-> Applications-> google play-> clear data, then delete account from accoun and sync, reboot and re-create account

i tried installing play store, when i run it it asks me if i want to add new account i go yes and nothing happens... i run it again and it force closes
You need google apps first on cm9, flashing just play store won't work
how to do that?
i installed google apps, now when i add account and launch play store it says server error and im connected to wifi
If its not to much to ask, reflash after wipe, first flash cm9, right after that, without restarting, flash gapps.
Wipe just the cache and reboot.
Its all written in cm9 thread, should have read.
i just did full cache wipe, dalvik wipe, full data wipe, flash cm9, flash gapps and still the server error
Ok what account you are adding?
Post a screen shot of error

No I don't, but you can try cleaning play store cache from applications.
You didn't get it!
You started a thread with wrong info, you don't have a google account problem, you have play store not working problem.
Update your title or search for market issues you will find many here.
Don't start a new one about play store not working.
Hi everyone. My Nexus 7 upgraded yesterday to 4.2. Everything is running correctly except that all of a sudden, last night, I could no longer access Google+ or Google Messenger; instant upload (which goes to G+ stopped working); and none of my apps will update. When I try to refresh Google+ I get the following message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Hitting refresh only returns the same message. I tried logging out and logging back in and it will not take my log in. Instead I get an error message telling me that G+ is unable to connect to the servers. I checked my internet connection and everything is working correctly. In fact I have no problem accessing Gmail, calendar, youtube Drive, GVoice, Etc (all on the same account).
When trying to update apps sitting in the update list, I get the following error if I try to update them individually:
If I hit update all, all the updates fail with the same error:
By comparison, I'm not having this issue on either a Galaxy Nexus or a Transformer Prime, both running 4.1 (they both continue to work correctly).
I'm at my wits end and short of doing a factory reset and hope that fixes things I have no clue what could be going on. Of course trying to find someone to speak to at Google is like finding hen's teeth. If anyone could advice I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

Wow, really helpful. This is why I hardly post here anymore. You ask for information and some numb-nuts always has to answer with something stupid like "just root it".
I was actually wondering if you have root, I will never encourage people to root when a problem can be fixed in a different way. Upgrading to 4.2 doesn't have to mean that you did it using stock-software.
Found a fix (no thanks to AmeesingNoob). I had to purge the Nexus 7 of all the Google accounts (Settings -> Accounts -> Google Accounts -> select the actual individual account(s) -> open settings menu -> remove account). You can remove all the accounts and your device will still function. Now make sure you are on WiFi and add your Google account back: (Settings -> Accounts -> Add Account). once you do that several Apps (mainly Google ones) will prompt you to allow access. once you get past that, everything should be back to normal - no need to do a factory reset and no need to root.
I have A760 with New Cynogen MOD ROM Android 4.4.
I try to add google account to my phone, after insert verify number with 2 step verification. It's redirect to Google Account page

Same issue, Google account gets stuck during browser sign in
I have the same problem with my recently repaired (and factory reset) Samsung tablet. I am prompted to sign in using the browser and I get to the same My Account page as pictured above. But after following all the links and doing the various checks, there is nothing else to do. When I hit the device context menu, I'm given the option to exit the browser sign in, but nothing else. Any help would be appreciated.
Samsung Note 10.1 2014 Edition
I figured out my tablet's problem
My tablet was unable to finish the sign in process with the Google 2-factor authentication enabled. I hope that this helps @supakwong or anyone else who encounters this problem.
Solution: I went into my Google account settings and turned off the 2FA and then tried adding the Google account to my tablet again. The sign in process immediately worked and didn't require me to sign in using the browser. After making sure I could access things like the Play Store, I turned the 2FA back on.
After turning the 2FA back on, in tablet required me to log back into my Google account, but this time it worked great.
Ugh. This is ridiculous. I was hoping there was a better solution than turning off 2-factor, because all my application specific passwords etc will need to be redone.
And... there's our answer. Just create an application specific password and use that to set up your account on your device. Worked like a charm for me. No removing 2-factor.
It's seem happen to not specific phone, I got this problem too.
On a H815 (LG G4). I did a factory reset, and ended up with the "This device was reset to continue, sign in with a Google account previously synced on this device." message. When trying to sign in, it loops back to my login and tells me to use an account previously used on this device.
Google recognises this account as the previous owner as this phone as proven by the Android Device Manager.
On the internet it was written that this Device Protection thing could be postponed if both my password and phone changes within 72 hours, since it could mean that someone stole my phone. 72 hours have passed, and not just that, my password hasn't changed since July (a month ago).
I have contacted LG. They have explained that this is a Google server problem, there's nothing they can do since it's all Android. The best I could find was call a local employee who knows Google Play a bit but had no authority to do anything. Ideally I'd like to talk to someone with Google who can fix this for me. Unfortunately Google does everything it it's power not to have to talk to customers. Is there someone who knows how I can reach someone knowledgeable about this? Maybe someone knows how to fix this problem with selfhelp? I already tried flashing a new stock rom. Don't know how to flash CyanogenMod without USB Debugging or TWRP.

@kuya38 Wonderful, took some tweaking but it worked. Very happy, you saved me quite a few hundred euro.
HI all, does anyone know of an app that works in the same way as the built in google backup works, except it saves to a local pc over wifi on a schedule?
The 15Gb cloud space is nowhere near enough for me but I have a server with plenty of space, so makes sense to use that.
I have seen a few apps that backup media, but I really want everything backed up (sms, app data, wifi passwords etc)
Is this even possible with a 3rd party app? My phone is a Honor View, The official huawei app (hicare) does most of them but needs the device to be plugged in via USB and I don't think it will let me restore to a non huaewi phone in the future.
Edit: forgot to mention, locked bootloader so not rootable

Yeah I'm afraid the backup solution you were searching for is one who needs root. But I can suggest something else. You can transfer the data you have on your drive (files other than backups) on your server, it will leave room for backups.
Otherwise you may wanna consider rooting, if it is possible with this Huawei model (that's why I hate Huawei, but don't get me started on that lol)
Have a good day
@flamery
1. No root mode is required to create a backup
2. Hint: Backup to an external SD-card. Use Super Backup app. It's a free-of-charge app.

BTW: To root device's Android its bootloader must not be unlocked. Has nothing to do with each other.
Thanks both I will check it out!
Although I just discovered something interesting, if you change the setting in Google photos from original quality to high quality they don't count toward the 15Gb quota so I just freed up a lot of space.
