Hi,
Anyone knows how can we enable the short/long day in the status bar in front of clock (except JKay)?
Thank you.
you can always install aokp build...
Maybe, but I prefer to have it for Sammy ROMs.
Best regards.

There are several great apps on Google Play. I am using app called Statusbar Calendar and it's GREAT. You should try it.

Notification bar power widgets is thing what I miss most after swiching from HTC Dream custom roms . Is this possible to make such modification for stock Froyo ROM with root of course . I suppose that it is not very difficult task and this widget could be located in phone.apk ?
Not sure if you're interested but CM7 comes ready with this feature.. its awesome

I think CM7 is not very awsome yet , too many problems still is reported .
So ... any other idea ?
Notification toggle widget from the market by j4velin works good.
Sent from my MotoDefy.
I will try it ... thanks .
Hmmm , it is not bad -- need more time to test ;-)
Widgetsoid?
It's somewhat complicated to use, but when you set all the options it's great.
Did you mean the options like in this screenshot in attach?

Hello. I installed Widgetsoid on my Defy but cannot get the buttons in the Notification bar to do anything. Can you please confirm if they work on your Defy?
How do you know that CM7 isn't good when you didn't even tried it?
Cm7 has improved greatly over time and comes with customizable power Widgets in the notification bar. But if you are really against CM7 I recommend you try MIUI which also has this feature but with more options and customizations. I have used both Roms and enjoy them both.

Awesome!!!!
Is the quick dock thing still active on the AOSP version?
And isn't that the wrong battery icon on the AOSP?

No, the quick dock is not in the AOSP version
in the AOSP there is no quick dock it is pretty much stock 3.1 homescreen experience. and the battery the AOSP was pulled from DocRambone's rom so nothing really has been modded by me on it other than just making it a flashable zip. I will look into changing batt colors when I get some time
Thanks doc & boosted awesome work. Love the aosp bar.

There's an app called "Wizz Bar" in the Market that adds a minitray function somewhat similar to Touchwiz. You can configure what apps appear in the pop-up tray. It's free, btw.

Awesome - thanks for clarifying!
I would love the AOSP version with quick dock and default honeycomb battery.
Although I do love the black touchwiz version - the default honeycomb bar is a tad too futuristic.
Where did you get your icons from?
An aosp themed bar on the way

That looks awesome!! - So basically the default honeycomb bar/notification window over touchwiz. If so = win
Will you have the blue version as well?
hey b00sted, any chance you've been able to fix up the issue of grey background behind the notification area items (like behind the Weatherbug current temperature area)? All options look great by the way! Thanks for hooking this up!

hmm....does this work with the stock rom?
got it to work...had to flash the "Return to Stock TouchWiz UX" FIRST, then the modded bar you want
THANK YOU!
loving the AOSP version but it would be awesome to have the screenshot button any chance in adding it back?

OK - flashed doc's stock rooted/deodexed touchwiz rom... my initial impressions of touchwiz: not happy. However, after using it for a while now I am warming up to it...
I hate the new graphics... much prefer the darker look...
I flashed the AOSP bar and am much happier now. I didn't realize that the notification windows was changed back to AOSP as well - much better than the touchwiz menu...
It would be awesome if you could fix the battery icon (which is still the touchwiz version). It looks a bit cartoonish next to the honeycomb wifi icon. It would also be amazing if you could add in the quick bar and screenshot button. I'm not sure if this is feasible, but it would be awesome if it was...
Big thanks to you and doc!
(Off topic, but is there any way to get the stock browser and loading wheel back? The new ones are ugly)
Hi guys.. i have installed Omega ROM v4.0 but i hate the notifications bar
http://i.imgur.com/yPDOt.jpg
it's possible change notifications bar with toggle button?? (similar AOKP)???
I have installed Apex launcher but the notifications bar not changed
Sorry for my language!
The notification bar is built into the ROM and cannot easily be changed such as the launcher; Android simply does not expect you to.
Over time tweaked and enhanced notification bars might pop up for flashing through CWM, but they usually are rom-dependent.
Thank you!
You sure can. Look here...

I know what you mean. I came from Lord Clockans Ice Cold Sandwich rom which had all those options. I miss them too! Unfortunately, at the moment nothing like that is available (to my knowledge). It's the price we pay for getting a device as soon as its released. The good news is that given time all those options will likely be available on the S3 too. Keep an eye out in the themes and apps forum.
Good!

when it is available ( CM9 ) ???

Hi there,
I have just installed AOSP Jellybean (and also CM10 preview) and am searching for a way to remove the status bar completely from the bottom of the screen. I was using AOKP and could do this from the power menu. Is there a way to do it in JB or a mod that could be applied.
I cannot find anything on the web or on XDA about this. I am posting here as I cannot yet post in the development section, but I think I should probably be asking that question there instead.
Many thanks,
Graham.
for status you mean notification? if so that has to come from a custom rom IF any developer feels like doing it.. that's a jelly bean feature.. if you dislike it go back to ICS.. personally y prefer this way because the os its more consolidated between phones and tabs..

Hi Msedek,
Thank you for your response. I am finding JB more stable than the ICS varieties as I have trouble with Splashtop with any ICS build (it crashes the tablet). It seems to run fine in JB. I need to remove the statusbar because when I run Splashtop to fill the screen the status/nav bar is in the way - therefore I need to temporarilly remove it when using Splashtop. Reverting to ICS would not work for me I am afraid.
I have seen mods for other Android version (e.g. Honeycomb) that add a toggle to the power menu (and software that removes the status/nav bar) but I cannot find anything for JB at this time.
Kind regards,
Graham.
Try this app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1769761 (until is included in the ROM)

Hi maplesyrup. Thank you for your response.
I had a look at that app however it wont do the job as once i have hidden the status bar then there is no way to return to the homescreen or another application as button savior and the gesture control app do not seem to work with jellybean.
Many thanks,
Graham.

I was thinking in including that option in the AOSP ROM, the next build I will. Also, you can contact the developer to report that bug.
Hello, is there any possibility to keep the status / notification bar ALWAYS visible (for fullscreen apps for example)
I'm not searching for an app which can make the bar visible if i do a gesture or anything else in a full screen app
just keeping the notification bar always visible is my request
thank you
I'm using I9000 (SGS) with 4.2.2 AOKP
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.jskt.togglestatusbar&hl=en
I found this useful for monitoring CPU usage, frequency, temperature, RAM, when overclock benchmarking.
thank you ill definately ceck it out (;

Have you figured out how to do it by modifying the AOSP code?
Thanks

Still helpful years later, thanks!
So did you ever find a way to do this? The link in the responses doesn't work anymore..
