after a mega wipe you will stay in recovery and you will be able to flash a rom or nandroid, but it has to be on external SD as internal will be wiped!

Yes you can but your phone must be Rooted and a Clockworkmode installed
and to install as mentioned in that site :
- Download ROM and put it on your S2
- Format System / Factory Data Wipe
- Wipe cache and also wipe dalvik cache
- Install the zip file and you will get the CWM install completed message.
- Select Reboot Now and let the phone boot up to an Android setup screen.

I have to backup EFS? or its not needed?
it is always a good idea to backup it before playing with phone......
there are some tools to back up your EFS, and also some Kernel like Siyah kernel automaticaly backs up EFS to your SD Card.

Hi! How do you wipe your phone completley? Not only factory reset, but wiping the phone totally clean.
Regards
Using this tool.flash from cwm.remember it will wipe your internal sd-card aswell,so u need an external sd-card to flash new rom or flash with odin.
Happy flashing

Just remember that it will wipe your system partition completely..so you will not have a rom to boot into..keep a ROM in hand to flash after you flash this zip..
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I used CF auto root and then installed CWM 6.0.2.7 to install the CM10.1 rom. I copied gapps and cm10.1 on my external sd card but when I tried to install it I got an error, and now my phone is stuck on boot.
Please Help!!!

Thanks, now its not stuck on boot, but I still would like to get cm10.1. Any ideas on why it didn't work?
Hey guys.
Basically I put on CM10.1 and then MIUI, but I read that when you upgrade to CM10.1 your files go into a folder called 0?
Well basically I wanna go back to standard by doing a restore, but I go onto CWM and it says after I click "restore" - "no files found"
So where have my restore files gone?
Or how can I get it back to standard? Will I be able to do it on mobile ODIN at all?
Thanks in advance.
Oli
If it helps guys
I have gone through file explorer
0\clockwordmod\backup\ has my restore in it, just how can I restore it in CWM?

Copy that folder to the root of your sdcard then CWM should be able to see it.

I don't have odin, will heimdall work?
if the restore of system worked, just wipe data/cache/dalvik in recovery and reboot your phone

nope it didn't, it failed to copy the files over a couple times, did it in the end but it keeps failing to restore...
You'll have to do a full wipe and flash a rom again then I think.

Restore the stock rom from your cid (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2210619)
or follow this tutorial if your cid supports it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212067

You put the backup inside your TWRP --> BACKUPS --> ''YOURSERIALNUMBER'' folder?
Because it's the only way to update for you

Make a folder named TWRP in your sd card then in that folder make one named BACKUP and in that one a folder with your serial number as the name. Then place the backup in there
