I've noticed this happening and sometimes a reboot fixes this but usually not. I seen this on various roms and kernels. Ideas?

Wait, what lol
I don't quite understand what you're saying. Are you saying Project Butter is setting to 40 FPS? It should be locked at 60 FPS the whole time at least to my understanding.
Are you using Power Saving Mode OP?
One of the features of this mode is that it cuts screen refresh rate in about half. Lower framerate = less work on the GPU = more battery saved.
Then again you say a reboot fixes it so might not be that.

Does everything work ? and is it worth flashing a rom on this phone ?
Why you don't ask in the fuc...cm9 thread?

Not only are you posting a question in the development thread in violation of forum rules
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27254541
But you are also asking a question that can easily be answered by going through the cm9 thread.

You don't even have to go through it, there is "known issues" on the first post

did you even check their thread?

Everything is great. Level 42 is particularly amazing... you need to look out for the invisible unicorns as they can attack you from behind. I would suggest powering up on Scooby Snacks at the end of level 14, otherwise you will lose a life on level 17.
The Gatekeeper will diddle you if you get too close to him, but just don't show him your 'peepee'. If you need help, press F1 but it only works the first time. Your mind will force close of you try to do it twice.
As you asked, it is definitely worth flashing on this phone.
Good thread.

No. It is awful. Do not flash it or your phone will blow up.

I would agree except for the fact that the unicorns attacked me from the sides and behind on level 43. And the scooby snacks are only a short term fix, some jabberbabywalky's will keep you from losing life past level 17. Just my opinion

Dont even try to get to level 43 since your battery will be empty in 45..

Ok guys I did CPU stress tests on no both CyanogenMod and xxellc 4.1.2..(both stock)
In cm 10.1
I ran the test ran for almost 10 mins with no throttling @1.4ghz
Throttling started at the 11 min mark when CPU temps hit 80c and battery temps were about 52c...I was throttled to 800mhz
In xxellc 4.1.2
First 2 mins...no throttle
Throttling started at the 3rd min mark when CPU temp was 65-70c and battery temp 42c
The CPU throttled to 800mhz
I don't know whether the GPU is throttled or not
So this explains why I have been having an much better gaming experience on CyanogenMod..
What do u guys think about this?..why is the stock ROM throttling so aggressively..if GPU is throttled gaming may be affected severely..

is there any solution for the throttling problem on samsung based roms?
i donĀ“t have throttling problems with CM10.1, but with OMEGA 40 the cpu throttles when the battery reach 41C.
Not that I know of....I cant believe more people here have noticed this issue.....nexus 4 forums contains so many throttling threads....
Would love to have a custom rom dev to fix this issue.
Since cm10.1 allows temps above 41c....I wouldnt believe it would cause any problem for the battery.....that would be like saying aosp devs dont know safe temp limits lol

Hi all,
My phone freezes when I play intensive games like Modern Combat 3, Contract killer or Blood and Glory Legeng. Everh timr this happens i can see that mmcqd and kswapd0 are keeping the CPU up. It takes around 5 minutes to retur to normal or sometimes a reboot.
I'm on stock XLLA with Siyah kernel, but this also happened with perseus and full stock.
I dont't havr power saving enabled and already did factory resets. Also no external sd card.
Anyone has an idea if there is a fix for this? I've read other topics about people having similar issue, but no resolution
Thanks.

I don't know why you keep saying it, but it says in the rules that you CAN bump posts, just not more than once every 24 hours.
So yeah, OP broke the rules
Does anyone run their s 3 without power save mode and do you have any comments about battery/performance? I notice when I run my phone with it on it makes it quite laggy and apps take AGES to load compared to say my mates phone?

I use power save mode all the time with great battery life and NO LAG Omega Rom XXELLC
I use without power saver enabled.
Difference in battery life is about 20%. There is no significant difference in screen time though.
So the power saver only helps if the screen is off for long durations.

please ask in the correct section
Always. ..and yeah Q&A for questions please!

Never use it, everything it does can basically be done by you independently anyway.....
I use power saving cause my battery is messed up (not by me XD) and it helps but, if your battery is fine any way you want to have it is fine, although power saving will help you a bit more

Don't think this is a ROM issue, as I've posted there and have had no reseponse.
When using the S-pen in handwriting mode for a text message, it no Ionger automatically inputs a space. No matter how much room I leave between words or how much time before writing the next word I have to physically tap the space key to insert a space.
It's quite frustrating because this wasn't always the case. Has anyone else noticed this? I have looked through all S-pen and Samsung keyboard settings but haven't seen any thing indicating a specific setting. TIA

I have never gotten consistent spaces. Hardly ever get a space at all in fact. I just tap the space bar with the pen now.

Really? I don't get it. On Jedi r1 I could write entire sentences fluidly and quickly just by spacing out my words. Now on Jedi xv11 it's just not working. I've posted in that thread as well, nobody has responded. I enjoy the handwriting and (found) it very effcient. But now hitting the space bar after every word is getting old...

Im sorry. That jumbled mess of a massive paragraph is impossible to read...thought it's way pretty general to the Note 2 and certainly not the only question in the general forum. But thanks for letting me know.

If you write 2 or more words at once (meaning on the screen at the same time) it will put spaces where it thinks they should go, if you write one word at a time you need to do a dash or hit space.
But that's a wild guess.
