Download .10 ftf and .54 ftf too
Now : flash the .54 rom using Flashtool
2) and then flash .10 rom but in the right column exclude everything but KERNEL *DONT EXCLUDE KERNEL*
3) ROOT using (Root withRestore by Bin4ry_v18) LINK : http://uploaded.net/file/0fpyh5c5
4) Now reflash the .54 kernel by checking everything but Kernel *DONT EXCLUDE KERNEL*
that's all!
Please use the thanks button if it helped!

Hi, I need to know the same as well.
I'm on Android 4.0.4 firmware 6.1.1.B.1.54
Can somebody help me like in a step by step guide like this one? >>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2107775
All I want to know is if I can root my Xperia U with Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry on 6.1.1.B.1.54 FW? Or if I would need to flash another FW in order to root?
Thanks in advance.

Well you can give a shot to both kernel if one doesnt works you can try the other. And to flash only kernel, in flashtool exclude evereything except kernel and dont wipe anything
