Hello everyone! Has anyone gotten the lock screen effect that makes the phone look like an old tube tv turning off? I've seen that effect on some Android phones but this phone doesn't have that effect?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had it on my X10 and I'd like to have it on my new HOX+.
Might try themes and apps section where they care about that effect.... Or just search the forums....

alot of devs with all devices have had issues getting the CRT screen off/on animation working since JB. I think some Nexus devs have it working though.

Actually at least with sense, they haven't been able to implement it since ICS. They did something to prevent us from using it.
With aosp it works, it worked with jellybean on my one xl
Slithered from my HTC One X+
Thanks for the replies everyone looks like I'm going have to wait till Jellybean is available for AT&T HOX+. I tried to mess around with the framework-res.apk but the phone did nothing. That's if I did it right.

When I first got my amaze I was able to play n64oid no problem and other touch control games ran fine. But now I have a Zagg screen protector and lots of games touch controls don't respond well any more . Any way to crank up my sensitivity? I have searched but was unable to find anything useful.
Anyone else experience this problem?

No it's not possible to run WP7 on the one x. You could try and port WP7 but that would be a ridiculous amount of work. But if your up for the challenge go for it

I just got my One X+ and wondering a few things about it.
First why is the option to have vibration feedback on button push unavailable?
Second is there no transfer wizard or way I can transfer everything from my vivid to this phone?
Any help is always appreciated.

The answer to your 1st question: because the option of ''energy economizer'' was activated, so deactivate it and you will find the vibration feedback and many other options in setting are available.
The answer to 2nd question: yes there is app in the mobile called "transfer" which is trans-mobiles transfer wizard by bluetooth but it will only transfer the contacts, calendar points, Internet favorites and may be another things ( I don't know ?).

A quick thanks is always greatly appreciated!
The vibration thing worked. It was because of the power saver option
However I don't see any transfer wizard. Although I have it set up now the way I like it. It's all good. Reminded me of the Inspire day's after flashing a new Rom. Thanks guys.

Yes it is unbranded international hox+ and it is the htc own app, may be this is the problem

Probably is. AT&T loves to take stuff off phones so they can load it down with crap nobody ever uses. I don't know one person who uses any of these useless apps. Even the icons are annoying. I would have loved to get an unbranded unlocked version but the upgrade saved me a few hundred dollars so I am grateful for that.

I havent unlocked boatloader or anything like that yet.

Hi, I got the HTC one X+ from At&t today and every time I try to use it it gets really hot, even when not using its still warm. This hapened to the HTC one X international when I had it like 6 months ago so I returned it. And now I wanted to give another try to HTC and still the same problem. I had lot of phones from Nexus one to last one Galaxy note 2 none of them had this overheating issues. The phone gets hot and the battery drains very fast.
Anyone have same kinds of issue?

Do you have some objective numbers for hot and warm in Fahrenheit or Celsius? Everything else is pretty subjective and what is hot for you is maybe warm for me
It gets "warm" pretty fast but what do you expect from a quad-core in a small shell "overclocked" to 1.7Ghz. I think it is similar to the GSII.

Haven't they redesigned the wifi antenna for the Hox+? I remember that I read something like that? Hopefully it is not affected by too much heat.

48C is within tolerance. 60+ is danger zone and I would suggest shutting off the device and letting it cool if it gets there.
This device doesn't have the wifi issues, I've confirmed it multiple times.
Don`t worry, the phone automatically turns itself off when it overheats and will only turn back on once it has cooled sufficiently, no risk whatsoever, the tegra soc was purposely engineered to hit its maximum thermal limit.
Get hot, yes. Overheat no.
Lol soon we might be buying heatsinks for our phones.

But the problem is, it looses a lot of battery if it is getting so hot. Is there a possibility that this can be fixed with a software update?

What don't you understand. If you want a cooler running phone buy a less powerful one. No matter how many of you moan on here. HTC can not defy the laws of thermodynamics

Yes, this is true. If something is using a lot of power and putting out a lot of heat, the battery will get used. What do you want us to tell you?
The best option is custom kernels and underclock/undervolt. Tegra 3 is a pile of crap but it's the only way to ensure that the One X+ didn't become a vastly different device compared to the One X.
It seems like whenever I'm playing game, even just a simple running game the battery seems get to excessively hot. When I have the phone charging and playing a game it can get upwards of 119f. Is there something that I'm missing?

I understand that but by that notion the phone is unusable while charging for any intense application. I previously had a vivid and was able to play intense games while on the charger until the battery was full and temp never topped 100f. Now I play some simple running game for 15 minutes while charging and my battery is at 119f.

So I just randomly came across this on flipboard, I found the UI to be intriguing!!
Part of me isn't sure if the DNA would be able to run the software very well, at least not without a lot of work, and I have no coding experience. I, however, think it would be awesome to run this on the DNA. If there are any Devs out there that would be able to get ahold of the software and would be able to attempt cooking this for the DNA I would be very happy and excited to run this UI.
Here is a video of the UI:

HtC DNA
XDA App
Yeah, it is definitely Windows-espue on the middle screen, but more advanced (I can see how some might find it slightly cluttered, I like it though). The right screen seems very much like the Android UI, just flipped at 90° (vertical page scrolling vs. horizontal). I would be fine without the left sceen; I guess it would make finding certain things a little easier though.
I just wish/hope some of the awesome devs in the DNA community would be able to get ahold of this and make some magic!

I find the warping animations a bit ugly, and have never been a fan of HTC's UI design in general. I would definitely prefer Windows Phone.
its not exactly HTC its more like a custom rom for a custom device....its KDDI Japan's custom UI (heavily modified sense rom), running on their device
