[Q] Adding RIngtones/Notifications to Korean JB ROM - AT&T LG Optimus G

I'm running the Korean JB ROM, but can't add ringtones/notifications. I used Zedge to download the ones I want, but get an error message in Zedge when trying to set them. I then tried manually moving them into the ringtones and notification folders via Astro File Manager. Still no luck. Also tried renaming them to m4a from mp3. When I go into Settings/Sound/Phone ringtone or Notification sound, they never show up in the list.
Any way to get them to work?

[Q] Accidentally stopped MediaSerive - several media apps not functioning

I seem to have accidentally stopped MediaService on my unrooted stock S3 running Jelly Bean. Several media apps/functions are not working:
Not able to access sound settings - Settings crashes if I try change ringtones
Stock media player doesn't recognise songs stored in phone/SD card
Not able to access Gallery - Photos don't get saved to gallery
Alarm does not sound
I tried reflashing with stock firmware, that didn't solve the problem.
Any solution to this would be much appreciated.

[Q] how to set custom notification tone

first of all I went through more than 5pages of the q&a thread but
no one had asked this question yet
for some reason I couldn't set a custom notification tone no matter what I do...its only in mp3 format and I even tried converting it to ogg format but still didn't work, I also tried putting it in the system/media/audio/notifications and tried to change it in the settings but it would only see it but not set it, when I select it - it would just go back to default tone.. my phone is rooted and bootloader unlocked, any help is greatly appreciated.

[Q] Calendar sync breaks the ringtones on Liquid

Hi,
With the latest LiquidSmooth (08.07) ROM on EVO 3D GSM, my ringtones gone missing after flashing Google Calendar Sync for the minimal (Banks) GAPPS package.
I can use them after restart for a limited time, but then it says unkown ringtone in sound setting and I can only choose none from he selection menu.
I haven't met tis problem on CM ROM.
Is there any other GAPPS package, wich is compatible with LS to try out?
Hi,
try latest LS build. I use it without problems with ringtones
I always copy my ringtone to ringtone folder in device not SD card.

[Q] Cannot set a ringtone in custom ROM

Phone : Lenovo A390 (ES as filemanager)
Problem: Unable to set voice call tone, message tone & alarm but game sounds, music player etc works fine.
Whenever i try to select a ringtone, it says wrong file type, please Select again.
So far tried the following, Linked all apps with Link2SD card, tried with different audio file formats.
I could not find anything wrong with custom ROM as there is no such feedback from other users in needroom.Overall my experience with ROM is good expect this issue .

Try other ways , use different file manager or use other free apps from google store like ringtone changer .

Unable to select custom ringtones - "Wrong file type"

Suddenly, my custom ringtones aren't working and it's back to the stock sounds. My ringtones are mp3 files. What happened? Can I fix it? I tried clearing storage cache and rebooting.
Galaxy S6
not rooted
Good Lock
Nova Launcher
That sucked. I had to make new folders and move the files there. Then, reselect all my notifications and ringtone settings again. Really unacceptable. I searched the internet and tried all kinds of stuff (including deleting all .nomedia files, etc.).
