This is very weird and I do not understand what is going on.
I have the paid version of TIBU.
This is my 1st time when I use it on this phone.
After I did an initial backup of all the apps I realized that every time I restart they are installed back.
I have no idea who does it.
When I did the initial setup wizard I enabled keep my phone backed up with google but I always did with all my androids and never happened so uninstalled apps were reinstalled back.
It drives me nuts.
Any idea?
I'm running UKB 1.3.0
I've got the answer here:

After hacking the phone to run webtop without the docks, I was just going about my phone and was curious about the "System updates" button and got this:
Social Networking account required
"com.android.setttings.deviceinfo.CheckUpdate" is not available without a social networking account. To create a new account, click "Setup" button
When I click the setup button, nothing happens. Did I mess up one of the files during the process of hacking my phone, because before attempting the webtop hack, when I still had root and adeo on, I did not get this message.
Account syncing: my facebook account will not sync with the contacts on my phone. The social networking app and widget is not running properly for the same reason as from the message given above ^^.
Can someone help me with this? Thanks
Did you use Titanium Backip to freeze apps. This is a symptom of freezing apps. To get this to work unfreeze all your apps and make sure the MotoBlur account is syncing.
I didn't use titanium backup to freeze any of the apps. I'm still kind of new to android and so I might need some guidance in more simpler terms
Did you create a blur account?
yes and it was already linked when I received my unit on the 21st
would it be reasonable to attempt a factory reset, even though I rooted it and installed ADEO?

What exactly does freezing do? I can't seem to find a answer on the net. Can one manually "defrost" a frozen app?

I think so, I'm pretty sure TiBu just adds a ".bak" to the application because when you freeze something it's still in your app drawer until you restart your phone vs when it's uninstalled its gone instantly. The benifit to freezing vs uninstalling is if you freeze the wrong thing or want it back it's still there, but if you uninstall it it's gone and you'd need to ask someone else for it or something.
anyone solved this error? I also got the error today
Is your phone deodexed? That could be the problem maybe.

Adeo v0.2 will break your Blur widgets.

hey guys.
I decided I wanted to try going without sense. Installed golauncher ex and set it up. installed widgetlocker and set it up. everything was working fine.
I made a nandroid backup.
I flashed smoking1337's DeSensify script. all my widgets were gone but everything seemed to be working fine. I reinstalled all my widgets...and they started acting weird. when I would press and hold on one, and drag it, it would create a second copy...I deleted all the double copies, rebooted the phone, all the widgets were gone.
I set them up again. today in the morning, I noticed K9 was constantly trying to check email, and then started getting FCs on all the google apps...then superuser crashed.
I figured something went wrong with the script. went into recovery, wiped everything, restored nandroid.
rebooted the phone. seemed fine. then it started again. k9 constantly checking, none of my desktop visualizer widgets would work, even though they were to app organizer shortcuts and those worked going through the app drawer.
then superuser crashed again.
considering i've already wiped and nandroid'd back to before I flashed the script, what could be causing this issue?
i'm downloading the latest SteelROM to copy superuser from it and push it to my phone...but i'm concerned as to what caused this?
thanks.
I installed Swype on my TP yesterday and everything seemed fine, but today I keep getting the message that [bunch of asian characters] has stopped. I had no idea what it possibly could be since I don;t know what it says so I thought it might be Swype and went into Input on Settings to turn Swype off. Now, under KEYBOARD AND INPUT METHODS the first thing says Default and under it is a bunch of Asian characters. Under that is all the input methods. The interesting thing is there are two selections that are checked yet grayed out so I can't deselect them which are Japenese IME and the last one is those Asian characters. What is going on and how do I get rid of them?
OK. I went through all my Apps in Settings and at the very end is one named with Asian characters. Under the name it says version 4.0.3-eng.erik.20120221.223654. It doesn't give me the option to uninstall it, but I have disabled it. I don't download a lot of apps, and I certainly don't download shady looking apps, so where did it come from and how do I get rid of it??????
It could be something else pushed on you - some apps with the Networks and Internet permissions push random apps to your phone without you knowing it (or explicitly allowing it). My girlfriend has a music app that does it to her sometimes, and it's annoying, but not malicious (at least, not that I've seen).
I tried deleting it through Titanium but it didn't work so I decided to try installing the Nightly version of CM9 and that got rid of it completely. Still, weird!

installing applications on your phone/tablet without your "permission" is the definition of malicious.
IIRC there has been some sort of Asian language keyboard in CM9/ICS for a while. I remember disabling it a while ago, not sure why its included in an English version of the OS.
Well, when I installed the Nightly build all Japanese-related input choices disappeared, so maybe they aren't included in CM9 anymore? Whatever the reason, I am happy it is solved.

It was considered a system app to Titanium, and to the phone as well, I guess. Titanium said it would do some special thing and the phone would reboot twice and it would be gone. Well, when it was finished doing its thing the app was still there. I think I tried using Titanium to remove the stock Music app that came with the phone and it didn't work right then, either. I can't remember how I got rid of that, but I eventually did.
Sometime (actually quite often) Google Apps does the right thing and restores all my apps after an OS upgrade. Not so on this occasion and I seem to have lost my Titanium Backup files.
Any tips please? Installing 100+ apps manually would make me very sad.
Thanks!
I believe if you do a factory reset and then log into your gmail account during set up, after setup is complete your apps will start downloading. The only down side is that you will lose your data.

Yes... exactly this not happening is what my problem is. I guess I'm looking for a way to trigger this step since it fails to happen during initial setup.
Hello again.
I'm experiencing a new problem with my phone that is becoming very aggravating because it seemingly occurred when I did nothing unusual or risky with my phone. Every time I update an app in the google play store, my phone locks up and will reboot itself. Sometimes it will remain frozen until I hold down the power button myself. This problem also happens when uninstalling apps and installing apps, but it doesn't do it regularly. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But the phone will always freeze when updating apps. Like I said, I have done nothing risky with the phone. I haven't installed or removed any apps that require superuser access. I haven't downloaded anything to my phone. All I have done is install a few apps here and there from the store, evaluate if I like them or not, and decide if I want to keep them. Recently I haven't been keeping new ones, so I promptly remove them. Out of nowhere this problem shows up when I tried to install another app (thought maybe the app caused it so I got rid of it), and now the updates freeze my phone.
The apps successfully update each time, but immediately after the process finishes, the phone locks up. After rebooting, the updates are saved and the apps aren't corrupt or anything. What can be causing this to happen? Everything on my phone was working flawlessly, and now this problem is seriously hindering the usability of my phone and I don't understand what went wrong.
My phone is the Virgin Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 4G SPH-D710. It is rooted and is running the stock ROM.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,
Have you tried clearing the cache for Google Play Store in Application manager? Try this first! You could also try (I assume you also have a working CWM recovery or similar?) wiping cache and dalvik in recovery!

I've already wiped the cache, data, and even tried uninstalling updates for Google Play and Google Play services. Made no difference.
As for dalvik, I'm not sure what that means. Any pointers would be helpful!

The dalvik cache will probably be under Advanced in Recovery

I don't have CWM recovery. Sorry I didn't know what you meant when you asked that.
Sorry if bumping or double posting isn't allowed, but I wanted to update this thread.
I think I may have solved the issue. Makes no sense as to why it happened or how it's even related to what I did. I racked my brain for the most recent things I installed on my phone and the only app that came to mind was Cut the Rope. It was the last thing I could remember that installed fine. I removed it and nothing locked up. Then I tried updating one of my apps and presto. No freeze or reboot. Then I installed an app from the play store and it worked perfectly. Did it multiple times with no error. I feel like Android is so temperamental that if I even look at it wrong something will break. -_- I don't know. Maybe being rooted has something to do with it, but my guts don't want to believe it.
I'll put "solved" in the title once I keep using my phone and make sure it's working correctly. If so, I suppose the moral to this problem is just uninstall anything recent from your phone if you experience similar issues. Wish I could know the technical cause though.
