Omega on i9305? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

anyone knows if i put omega rom from i9300 in i9305 with perseus kernel will work?
Sent from my GT-I9305 using xda premium

Anything that's not made specifically for the i9305 will not work

the roms are the same in both phones just the kernel is diferent because 2gb ram and 4g could work!!!!

how did you come to the conclusion that the ROMs are the same?

Go ahead. Install Omega on your i9305 but don't come here to face the embarrassment of you bootlooping your phone and us saying we told you so.

What about the new S2 Galaxy S2 I9100G? Please answer with Links to root Tutorial or Roms for it. Where the differentes between I9100 and I9100G??
Sent from my GT-I9100G using xda premium
They are similar except in 2 things. The processor and gpu of the phones are different. Due to this reason, i9100 roms wont work on i9100G roms. There are only a very few roms for the i9100G
One way of getting root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1570377
Just a simple reminder. Never flash things for the i9100 on the i9100G unless it specifically works for the i9100G.
Okay thanks for this, but can you send me some links to roms for the s2 G

Go to original android dev section and in some pages you will find threads starting with the name i9100G and also check android dev section

Do a Google search & put XDA in your search terms; for example - "XDA I9100G roms" (use your imagination). Don't think you're going to find too many people spoonfeeding you stuff you're more than capable of searching for on your own.

i9300 roms on i9305?

Hi all.
I've done a bit of research and haven't found a solid answer.
I know the modem is completely different on the two devices and the 9305 has an extra gig of ram...
I was thinking, if I flash a 9300 rom and a 9305 modem, will all go well?
Or is it more complex than that?
Thanks in advance.

They have a different section on it for a reason.

No, you will end up with an expensive brick. It may be recoverable but it will not end well.
Please don't flash any I9300 stuff on the I9305 or vice versa. You'll brick your phone.

New to the S3... Kernel question

Hi guys, I'm new to the S3 and having use the S2 for over a year and a half excited about the S3 I just couldn't resist on buying now. On my S2 I've always used the Phenom kernels as they've always been great battery savers but after reading a little bit about some sudden death thing that the phenom kernel doesn't have a fix for I was wondering if it was a wise idea to stay away from flashing phenom? And If so then what kernel would you recommend I flash so I avoid killing my new phone with this sudden death thing?
All the latest custom kernels have the SDS fix. Also flash Philz recovery touch to be realy safe.

I'm sure I read that phenom didn't have this fix, am I wrong about that then?
That is possible mate. I did not use that kernel yet. But siyah, boeffla, perseus and more are safe.

Thanks mate. Which out of those kernels would you recommend? Just basically for battery saving and pre rooted.

I am using Boeffla right now an had good batterylife so far.

Happy flashing mate
Perseus has a great balance between battery and performance, can't go wrong with it.

I9300 and I9300T are only different in the frequency they are optimized for. Hence all Roms, but even the modems work. I also got a T model. Next time please search the question came up already a few times.

[Q] Multiview for 4.3 ROM

Hi there,
I have a Galaxy S III I9300t (running I9300 ROM) and I was just wondering if there was any way of me being able to get multiview on my awesome phone!
I'm currently running Sentinel ROM 5.0 4.3 which is CM based.
If someone had an answer that'd be great
Thanks in advance,

Multiview is samsung feature, u are using CM so u need extra soft for this. Try google smth but I think it could be hard.
